Hi Irene. This is my second day on the Dukan diet :tongue . Was going to try and do the attack phase (protein only) for 4 days but to be honest I dont know whether I will; depends what the scales say tomorrow :rofl . Once you get past the attack phase, the diet seems ok so I'm going to try really hard.
Yes, let's go for it! 7lbs off for you and 10lbs for me :yikes .

I have had a good day on SW and cut my coffee intake today - drank lots of water and sugar free squash.

Hi Irene. If you google Dukan diet there will be loads of articles to browse through. This is my fourth day and I've done OK so far but am gasping for a nice glass of cold, white wine. I'd lost 4 lbs when I got on the scales this morning so I am pleased :D. Gail

When I got on the scales on Friday I had lost 5 lbs but since then been out 3 times eating and drinking :( . Will get on the scales tomorrow morning and see what the damage is :) .

The Sunday Mirror supplement 'Celebs' has a 4 page pullout on the Dukan diet. Looks interesting! May give it a go!

Hi Denny. I saw Celebs and it's a good summary of the diet. I did it for 4 days last week and lost 5 lbs. Haven't done it since but have cut down and managed to maintain. Been to WW tonight and I've lost 5.5 lbs since my last visit about 3 weeks ago but I think that's mainly due to Dukan giving me the kick start. My WW advisor said I would be better sticking to the WW plan (but she would say that I suppose). Going to read the book and try and stick with it through the various stages. Will keep you informed. Give it a try and let me know what you think! Gail

Will do, I am going to have a go on Wednesday - I go to SW on Tuesday. Will try it for a week. 3 days on the first bit and 4 days on the other bit..... Guess you know what I mean.....

I saw the celebs magazine but it doesn't look like it is for vegetarians or maybe I didn't read it properly - will have another look later.
I am off to SW class tomorrow - have not been able to go for the last 2 weeks - drinking lots of fluid and eating loads of fruit in this weather but I feel very bloated!!!!

Hello Irene and Denny. Haven't really stuck to the Dukan diet this week but aim to start again Sunday (got a birthday part and a wedding over the weekend :D ). Did you manage to look at the article, Irene, maybe it wouldn't be any good for you? I'm still around 11st 6lbs so not too disappointed cos at least I havent gained. Will try and lose a few pounds before 2nd July! Gail

BTW went to WW on Monday and I'd lost 5.5 lbs since my last visit about a month ago. Only another stone to my target!!!!

I was a bit disappointed on Tuesday as I weighed 9stone 12.5 so a gain and I have been doing quite a bit of cycling!!!!!
I may do the fast forward plan next week or for a few days at least that SW have when you need a boost - very strict it works on a unit system.

Well I've done the Dukan diet for 2 days now, found it OK. Start the next stage tomorrow. will let you know how I get on.

Have got my head back on SW this weekend.
Away next weekend, so hope I can give it 100% this week

Well so far so good, according to my scales I have lost 5lbs (started it Weds). Found it quite easy and haven't felt hungry! Will let you know result of weigh in at SW on Tuesday!

hi everyone....and hi Irene....noted you are vegetrian.....you can get fast pure protien by using whey protien powder in either full skimmed milk or water...at the moment half price offer on for this at barrats....bannana vannila or chocolate are the ones I use....the strawberry clogs into lumps......so you can follow a high protien diet using this once or twice a day and then fish and veg for tea ....or 3/4 times a day as a fast track diet....cant eat carbs on this diet....but fruit except the likes of bannana is fine to make up the calorie side of the diet.....................I have just gone on this diet again to try loose as much as i can over the next 3 weeks before I go away.......been on calorie controled low fat ect diet for ages now on and off ...was 17st 8lbs and am now 15st 5.....but want to be 14st before I go to be comfy in my clothes...put on loads since my hols last year and have had a struggle getting it off this time.....but hoping whey protien diet will come to my rescue again and I will loose a stone in the next 3 weeks...as you loose fat round the muscle on it I seem to loose more inches per pound lost than I do on other diets ...so wish me luck...tweetie

I need to give myself a boost - I reallt think I am eating too many carbs on SW even though they say you can - I have always been a big carb eater.
Let us know how you get on - I go away in 6 weeks and would like to lose a stone?

Hi Irene......havent read up on the dulcan diet yet....just thought if it involves lots of meat protien that you could use this instead....its just pure whey protien....athletes use it ....and its not the same as body builders use to gain weight as well as muscle......a whey protien diet works as it uses the fat around your muscles as fuel so it can use the protien to repair or replace lost muscle tissue....so when your on it you cant eat carbs.....or it will use them instead of the fat for fuel ...and build more muscle tissue ....I loose more inches per lb lost when Im on it than on an ordinary calorie controled diet ect....I only lost 5lb this last week....but lost 1.5 inches off my bust 2inches off my waist and 1.5 inches of my hips....forgot the original inches for top of legs and arms....but my pants were looser on the legs and my sleeves are looser...and I didnt have time for any extra exersise this week....the more you use your muscles the more inches you loose as the fat is used up by the muscles...so you get really good results fast with regular but gentle exersise....atleaste thats what Ive found....one of my sons convinced mr to try it.....he went from 19st down to 10st on it ....from an xxxlarge to a small mans...now he is a steady 11st and a medium ....will let you know how it goes for me....will give you more details if you want to try it.....tweetie

hi Irene.....just been looking up the dukan diet.......very similar to mine.....and they use the oatmeal bran......which I usually have as well....think I posted last year giving everyone details of diet was on where I have oatmeal bran everyday for breakfast....protien shake for lunch....then chicken fish or lean meat and veg for tea.....this is good one if youve got time to loose 2 or 3lb a week.....but this year Ive been putting it off and not sticking to it ....so now need loose atleast 5lb a week before I go away to catch up.....so trying high protien /low calorie diet till I go away to benefit from the good inches to lb loss ratio it gives.....its not a diet you could stick to for an extended period unless you are iron willed....Im on it for 4 weeks till my hols....and I will manage that....but long term my usual weight loss diet I posted last year works and suits me better......tweetie
