Just an update on prebooking seats I have been informed by Virgin Holidays that if you book with a travel agent you have to wait untill 11months prior to your booked return date before Virgin holidays will issue a REF number that will allow Virgin Atlantic Manage Your Booking access, the holiday booking REF is not reconised by Virgin Atlantic.

Hi

Flying MAN - MCO 23/04/10 on VS75 Could you tell me which aircraft this is likely to be and also where the plane is coming in from before.

Thanks

matt_easty,

Your flight is operated by a Boeing 747-400. You'll find further aircraft information on our What Aircraft? guide. The aircraft operates the same flight the day before.

Hi

I am aware that it will be a 747-400 just wondered if you know which 1 though (e.g Ruby Tuesday etc). I have noticed that some planes are not operating the same route each day.

Thanks

matt_easty,

They are rotated 2 or 3 times per week so it's impossable to know until the day before. Apart from an odd seat, it makes little difference which one it is as they are all basicaly same.

From 2nd April 2011, The VS075/6 Orlando flight from Manchester will be operated by the new A330-300 aircraft, these aircraft will feature a newly redesigned Economy, Premium Economy and Upper Class cabin tailored for the holiday maker and children.

Also operating Gatwick to Orlando VS027/8 from 1st May, and from 7th May Glasgow to Orlando - VS071/2. All other flights continue to be operated by either B747/A340

Hi,

we are off from Manchester to Barbados next Sunday,27th June, flight VS77.I noticed today that the flight is currently about 4 hours delayed and counting and wondered if there is normally delays on this route or if this is something unusual.

Thanks

goalkeeper,

Delays can happen for any number of reasons and past performance doesn't necassarily mean future flights will also be subject to a delays. Delays are as inconveinient for airlines as they are for passengers. I'm sure Virgin will do everything they can to ensure your flight leaves on schedule.

Thanks,

I am a bit of a nervous flyer-just like to get on and go(as does everyone) but delays don't make me mad or anything-just a bit anxious :)

partygirl24,

The seating plan you need is for the Boring 747-400 in the LGW/MAN suite. You can view the plans on V-flyer. Just to complicate things, there are config 1 and config 2 seat plans. They are essentially the same, other than the location of some premium seats. Whether a config 1 or 2 aircraft is used on the day depends on the assigned aircraft as they are rotated regularly.

Virgin unveils new look

Virgin Atlantic has unveiled a new livery for its fleet of 38 aircraft, which includes a 'subtle' facelift for the iconic, flag-carrying flying lady.

The Virgin Atlantic name, previously only on the front, is now emblazoned across the aircraft.

A new metallic paint has been used, which is more durable so the jets will only require repainting once a decade.

Amongst other changes introduced by design agency Johnson Banks, are red winglets and the Virgin script on the inner side, visible to passengers on board the plane.

In addition, the undercarriage of the aircraft features a new Virgin Atlantic logo in dark purple, making the aircraft more easily identifiable when taking off and landing.
