Waggess - No, don't think that is the case, unless it's changed fairly recently.
My wife and I where married through Argo Weddings (they where fantastic btw) and we only stayed for 7 days as we wanted to come and go with the family. Sure it said 3 days in resort.
Obviously relaxation time is at a minimum if your wanting to see everyone and any arrangements required over there.
Pebbles - Sounds lovely, although got probs viewing your slideshow.
FD
I got married at st Pauls last june and we only had to be in resort for 3 days not including the day of arrival before we got married. Congratulations to all of you who have already or are about to get married in Lindos, however and wherever you choose you will have the most fantastic time, I did and we are going back on Wednesday for 2 weeks for our first anniversary.
Loved the pic's ladies you both looked wonderful.
Hmmm, I wonder whether it's just a catch with the tour operators then......they say you can only marry in your second week to satisfy Greek residency requirements. We will be flying out on a Wednesday and marry the following Friday. Oh well, will be a nice opportunity to relax and get a good tan before the big day!
Ive heard about this before but not sure where from (may have been my wedding co-ordinator). Travel companies say that you have to be in resort for 7 days because then you have to book a 2 week holiday - more money for them!!! I dont think that you have to be in resort for that long though - wonder if there is anywhere you could check??????

This is my first time on this site and im wanting a little bit of advise. Me and my hubby2be have booked through Thomas Cook to get married at St. Pauls chapel in may 2009. We are staying at the Lindos Mere. I have been told that we will have a wedding coordinator to hand once we get there but i am really worried that nothing will be sorted until we actually arrive in Rhodes. Has anybody else booked to get married with them and what were your experiences like?? Also do we have to book all of our little extras / reception through them or is it easier to arrange ourseves?
Any help / advise that anyone can offer would be greatly appriciated.
Many Thanks
xx
I also forgot to ask, Thomas Cook have said that they cannot confirm what date / time that we get married until October/November time. Is this correct??
