I was at Johncy's in Benaulim on the 8th no-one else there, I had to miss the meet-up yesterday due a case of Goa belly... it doesn't last long and I'm ok now. will anyone be at next week's meet -up if so I'll be there you will have to pm me with details of what you look like and how I'll recognise you. I'll wear a stripey yellow long skirt.
hya all, hope to be at lazy days the 1st feb
Hello all!
feel like I am missing out! What are these meet ups? Sounds fun! I am coming to Goa next Nov \ December. Just wondered if a closed group of friends or a chess club or something!! Stuart
Its just a chance for the HT (holiday Truths) people to meet & put faces to names,
(read the first page for info)
Regards

(Oh & its not closed)
I dont want to miss an evening of fun with everyone, but I dont want to miss an evening of fun maybe down at the Beach Barbecue at Big Bananas, and then a later meeting at Lazy Days.
Or do you meet early, and there is time to eat Elsewhere?
I am familiar with Csm road, but have never been to Lazy Days. What sort of menu could you expect on a wednesday if you wanted to eat, and it wasnt too busy?
Lazy Days does do food and it is very good, generally it is better to just have something to nibble in case others arrive half way through the meal, makes for a much more sociable environment.

Anyway, We're HOPING to be there tonight although we will have to leave early... Although, Shermina (Shem222) has been ill all night so we might not make it.
When we were in Goa in december Goandentist asked us to Lazydays when we were having whitening done but we couldnt make it (good teeth job by the way Dr Ambert!) but this time we are staying just off Baga beach road so will def. try to be there on 22nd march. I have read that quite a few members turn up so am looking forward to going there. I also have read that Rob and Shermina are doing a fabulous job looking after the Kiddies there and is there anything we can bring to help?
Thanks for the vote of convidence, you are more than welcome to bring anything (children related, eg simple educational items - eg Flash Cards etc, clothes, toys anything really as long as it will keep the children happy!
Who's going to be at tonights meet-up.
not me, but will hopefully show my face next wednesday
Last night there was myself, shem222, Gooner and Jon the boatman there, it was a nice lesiurely evening and before they get on and comment, apparently I am currently suffering from a 'Man Cold!'.... I just don't get any sympathy.... I would just like to know what is the difference between a 'Man Cold' and Flu and migraines that women get.??
you know exactly what man flu is.
One little sniffle and you had to put your coat on.
Hope you enjoyed the cheese.
Enjoy your holiday in Palolem, (it will help you get over the double pneumonia)
see you next week (if you have recovered).
Steve
Fiona dont like to complain, but why is the cricket a sticky [boring] but this isn't ,and is more topical.
Here is a copy of an earlier post I made
sorry folks for doing this but, in view of the newest sticky it is probably inappropriate to have this thread as a sticky now.
However, something tells me that this thread doesn't need to be a sticky anyway to keep it near the top!
Please do read admins warning -even if we have been "talking" with someone for some time online we don't really know them. Anyway- lecture over - I hope everyone continues to enjoy the meets.
Edit - just realised the link no longer works! New link is here
Rob, you got over the "Man Flu" yet? and hows the Teeth? ....
Lin b, hope the hangover after the casino wasn't to bad ?
Steve and Vanda, thanks for being great company over the last two weeks, have a great time for the remainder of your holiday many apologies for giving Vanda honeybee itus
Met some other "interesting" people there as well.........
By the way, you should all go and visit Rob and Shem to see the great work that they do, really opened my eyes!!!! Take every thing you can for the kids, they need it more than we do (and I'm not really a Kid person ) Some great memories of that day with Steve being buried under a mountain of excited children.
Rob, Shem and all your volunteers
Anyone going tomorrow to lazy days
What is the weather at home Gooner fan, not too cold I hope
Oh you are cruel Lin, keep rubbing it in, my tan as about gone i am feeling decidedly peaky.
