All rooms are good, but the pool side is best. the hotel food is very good and has a great choice to choose from.

We had room 209 apart from having to hold shower spray and not use hairdryer the room was okay. Great Italian if you head towards the house go thru the little side road you have lotus to your right food nice you will come to Chinese, steak house which is good food (don't know about Chinese) Italian is opposite. If you can find Marbella just down road from trakia hotel can highly recommend.

We went all inclusive .we found beer half litre glass 1.50 lev what is around 40p at lots of bars we also ate out a lot because the food was so cheap , food at hotel was good also microwave if u want to have your food red hot .
Seemingly one of the best restaurants was the steakhouse next door to the Marvel, which closed up for the end of season two days after we arrived so didn't get to try it, top tip for the Marvel would be to put their staff on a course to learn how to be polite and engage with holiday makers, at the end of the day it's us who pay their wages!!!
They just didn't care.

Keep away please.
No never they need to take more notice of there guest than sit talking to each other pool bar you had to pay for drinks and 5 minute walk to get another drink in a plastic cup even when to stayed in the lobby

We found the resort to be clean and tidy. We were self catering and there were plenty of restaraunts to eat out in, however, due to the time of year we visited, (Sept) there was not much atmosphere as most were empty!
There were live singers in most of the bars. The beach was clean and the lifeguards were very helpful, approaching us often asking if they could provide us with any cold drinks, ice creams etc.
Although a few people comlained about the friendliness of the staff, we found everyone to be helpful, well manered and friendly. We ate out at bar Orleanders and the staff there were excellent!
We would visit this resort again, although we would like to visit during peak season next time.

The resort is very lively and the beer prices are also cheap,you could find many bars that stayed open all night until the last person left,some of the night clubs were letting children into them! There is a large market and plenty of shops to browse around,these too stayed open very late at night. All in all I found the resort to be more suitable to couples with no children,large groups of singles or hen & stag parties.Beware of pick pockets and prostitutes as both are very active through out the whole resort.The beach was long and clean,plenty of sunbeds although you had to pay for them.Plenty of places to eat around the resort and most at very reasonable prices.

Sunny Beach is a typical sunny resort! Though the beach and sea are very clean! There's the usual touting for business outside all the restaurants along the main strip, but the service is diabolical!! The starters and mains come out in random order and service is generally very slow. A lot of the restaurant and bar staff in Sunny Beach need some serious lessons in customer care and service! They can be unfriendly and gruff in their approach! And the food is generally bad, even McDonald's chips were dodgy! And don't assume the fancy hotels will be any better....in desperation for a good meal we tried two of them and after one of them, we kinda wished we'd gone to the pizza man at the beach! Big tip....for a good meal head to Old Town Nessebar,

love sunny beach . we visit twice a year lovely people and genuine. only problem gypsies just keep away from them because you can tell who they are and keep off the buses when they are crowded

It was large and clean but there was'nt a large choice of nightclubs. The beach and sea was large and clean with a popular nudist section.

resort was very clean except the bin man comes in the morning, so lots of rubbish laying about.
didn't really see much entertainment in the resort, except kareoke.
beaches were lovely, and we didn't have to pay for sun beds on the beach.which makes a change, that is the ones right outside our hotel.
i would go again to sunny beach, second time we have been.

We love it, we love walking so didn't mind being a bit back from the beach and main strip. Would definietly go again but at a different time of year, as the weather was'nt great, but the staff at our hotel were excellent.

Have been to sunny beach a few times and it has changed for the better it hasn't quite got there yet but it is trying hard there is still areas with no pavements so if your disabled it is not a good idea the taxis will rip you off if you let them so get a price up front before you get in.
buses are aplenty if you plan your days out with buses it can be a very cheap day out go to bourgas by bus.
visit evos bar at the mena palace and meet a bulgarian scotsman he has every football shirt on display and he will welcome you in your own language

the resort was very busy and we found the local people friendly and helpful. a wide choice of tavernas and lots of shopping situated in miles of safe pedestrian areas

The resort has plenty of bars and restaurants and everything is easily accessible and both drinks and food are very reasonabily priced, but be warned though, at about 50% of the bars we visisted they never gave us the correct change, if the bill was 6.50 lev you would only get change of 7 - insisting that they didn't have the change. Take into account paying out for extras, sun loungers on the beach or at the poolside, using the beach or the WC, although the costs individually are small, over a week or two, they soon add up.
The people appeared quite rude and unhelpful, but I think this is more of a culture thing and lack of English.
The beach is, however, fantastic and sandy, although you do have to pay to sit in various areas of the beach. I didn't venture into the sea but it did look like there was quite a bit of seaweed.
