Town centre was good for shops and restaurants.
Beaches quite nice.
Resort nice but apartment too far out of town.

There are lots of nice tavernas and bars so I would not reccommend anybody bothering with half board or all inclusive as you end up eating out anyway - it's so cheap! We got a starter, main course and bottle of wine for 14 euros! Bargain!
The beach is nice enough and there are pleanty of trips available if you don't mind travelling further afield.

Be careful of the busy roads as we were party to a very awful accident! Be also careful of the beach as they have sharp grit and rocky ledges. You have to wear swim shoes to get into the water. Watch your children as the waves can be treacherous too!

The resort of Rethymnon is good. The old town is well worth a visit, the side streets are full of houses with flowers outside.
The beach is clean and well cared for, but the sea is unsafe for young children, red flags flying except for 3 days. Life guards are on duty.
There are touts trying to sell holiday clubs and can get a little rude.

If you are on a tight budget I would recommend taking as much food as you can so you can cook your own meals though for €13 you can go to one of the near-by taverna’s and get a set meal for two which for example includes a carafe of wine, Greek salad to share, bread, takziki, and your main course each such as moussaka, mixed grill, swordfish, meatballs, guros etc to name a few (all very nice).
The road Adele studios is on always seemed to be quite busy and for some reason many Cretans had ridiculously loud scooter exhausts and didn’t bother putting their lights on at night! Crazy? The noise didn’t bother us too much as the room balcony door seemed to cut out all the noise at night.
The sea is very shallow and rocky in parts, so don’t go in if the sea is rough otherwise you will get thrown into them like me and end up cutting yourself! Once you pass the rocks though it goes a little deeper and there are quite a few fish around this area if you fancy going for a snorkel.
Rethymon town is not far away and a one-way bus ticket will only set you back €1.10, or a taxi will cost around €8. The old town is worth a wander around filled with little shops and some really nice places to eat. Rethymon also has a really nice harbour front along with an old Venetian fortress, which is worth a look just for the view from the top.

Adele is quite with a lot of sovenior shops (mostly the same)and plenty of bars and taverns. The people are very friendly and the taverns serve good food.
The beach isn't that special. It is shingles and the sea was quite choppy.
Quite location but easy to get taxi or bus into nearby Rethymon where there is plenty to do and a lovely beach.

We did enjoy the remote location but you do need a car if you want to see anything.

Every day you could see one of the local Greek women cleaning the streets and emptying the buckets along the main street. The Greeks have a pride in cleanliness.
I really did not use the entertainment but there was a variety given the size of the resort. I used the local Tavernas and restaurants.
They served food to a high quality and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The resort beaches that I used were also well kept and well maintained.
I would have no reservations ingoing back both the hotel and resort and may in fact book again for later this year!

Adelianos Kampos had most things for most tastes ie single, couples and families looking to relax, lots of shops and Tavernas, agencies to book trips, a company doing cycling options and one offering walks, also two novelty trains (the tractor type) doing short tours and trips. The resort was cleaned but on occasions it looked abit messy sadly that was probably more to do with the visitors than the locals! The resort did not have lots of clubs or discos so although there were some younger visitors it did not have an 18/30's element which was great.
