All restaurants are fine some better than others, but that depends on your own taste, we have met people who don't like Indian food, sorry why go to India!!!

Candolim was excellent resort, beach ok, lots of sellers though. Plenty of beach shacks to eat in & good choice of food.Plenty of bars & quite a few stay open late contrary to alot of the reports we read before going.
Having been through Calangute very glad we chose Candolim - Calangute was manic with traffic & spread over a quite a large area whereas Candloim is more compact, howveer the tow resorts do seem to be merging.
Loads of lovely places to eat, really enjoyed the food at the Lighthouse - right next to the mucg accliamed Sunset Bistro & Mermaid - food just as good.

The resort itself was okay, although becoming a bit "Tenerife-fied" with the various "English Bars". Did go to South Goa and thought it was far better and more chilled out. Although I would probably go back to Candolim.

Candolim is a busy resort, with some excellent shacks and even better restaurants, mostly positioned along the main street/road.Although the roads are tarmac, the paths in general are not,so some care is needed when walking .It is certainly less 'mad' than Calangute...and yes I would definitely go back.

I have been going to candolim Goa for thirteen years now and have made many friends. The cleanliness of the resort is a lot better than thirteen years ago

Candolim is more up market than some of the other resorts and is more suited to the European visitor. Quieter than other resorts but there is still an excellent array of shops, bars and restaurants. The beach is long and sandy with numerous shacks. Some of the hawkers were a nuisance, but that is something you have to put up with in India. We found much better beaches such as Morjim (Turtle Beach)just a short taxi ride away. No hassle just white sand as far as the eyes could see. All the taxis want to take you to Coco Beach. As pretty as it looks on a post card it was apparently close to the main sewer outlets for Panjim.

Candolim is the quieter resort in this stretch and it would definitely be our choice again. Very easy to get a taxi and travel to the more noisier resorts.

Standards are not what you are used to, but purpose is to take in the sights, sounds & a certain amount of the culture. Retaurants & Bars have limited entertainment, if you are looking for buzzing nightlife Goa is not the place to go. The local beach (Sinerquim) was not very good, especially for anyone with kids. High sandy banks and coarse sand, sharp shelving into sea, lots of dogs and their mess! Grounded ship spoils most of sea views.

Candolim is a vibrant, colourful resort, there are dozens of restaurants to choose from, and all the gift shops and jewellers anyone could ask for. The beach is great, and the beach shacks are a revelation. The sea can be very rough, and at times quite dangerous. All in all, this is a great place for a holiday, and we had a wonderful 3 weeks there.

All in all India is not the best on cleaning away their rubbish. Having said that the beach was clean and enjoyed the daily visit of the cows. The resort has many eating and drinking places. Evening entertainment is a bit on the quiet side and is centered around the Hotels and restaurants.
