We arrived at about 1pm to be told our rooms would not be ready until 3pm so we had to leave our cases at reception and wander about for 2 hours.I wasn't very impressed because we had been up from around 2am that morning so we were really tired. The rooms themselves are a good size but the walls are paper thin and there is no air conditioning.
Self catering guests have everything they need in the rooms. In August it is really hot and sticky in the rooms so I didn't sleep much.We hired a fan from reception and had to leave it on low all night pointing directly at us.
You can't leave the patio doors open too much as the mosquito's get in and boy do they bite!!! I used a mozzy plug in repellant, spray on repellant and after sun with insect repellant in and I still managed to get bit about 6 times during our 2 week stay.I will say though that they didn't touch my son once for the whole 2 weeks we were there.Hubby got bit around 3 times. This is a problem at peak period as we were walking around on a night and some people were covered in bites, all over there arms and legs. Some of them were big open sores that were weeping.
Some of the electrics leave a lot to be desired too.The whole apartments would really benefit from a overhaul and update.
The entertainment is good and varied. The vodka was not very strong at the bar though and you could taste the difference if you went to a bar outside of resort.
Our rooms bed linens were supposed to be changed I think it was twice a week, ours were done once and the towels were supposed to be changed 4 times a week, ours were done 3 times in the fortnight.
Sunbeds are a bit of a problem if you are not up before 8.30am.Some people were actually putting towels out after they came in from a night out!!It does state around pool noone can reserve beds or if not in use for half a hour towels will be removed but noone actually does this. There is plenty of grass you can lay on though around the lake and its nice and breezy there too.
There is an abundance of lovely restaurants just outside the resort and breakfasts are very cheap too.We went to the port a couple of times and its really nice at that end for a change. We went to Caves of Drach and although it was nice to begin with it got a bit repetative halfway round and be warned there is loads of stairs up and down inside.
Would I go back to Belle Vue and Alcudia??? NO.
I'm quite a laid back person and easy to please normally so I feel like a bit of a moaner on here but I'm just stating the facts as we found them. Clear up the mozzys and update the apts especially with air con and I might consider it.The mozzys really put me off.
Anyway as I say I wouldn't return here in a hurry again.

The maids came everyday to change the towels, although they didn't change the sheets, which were desperate by the time we left.
The entertainment was fab, very Butlins with the sun, the kids loved it, and if they're happy we're happy.
The pools were brill, and yes I was guilty of putting the towels out, along with half the complex Ha! Ha! I think it has something to do with the fact that you can't sleep for the heat.
Across the road from the complex is a small restaurant that serves 3 course meals for 8 euros - we were well bloated when we got home
The beach was lovely, you can get a boat from the complex to take you there every 15 mins, or you can take a leisurely stroll which takes around 20 - 30 mins, well worth the effort, one of the nicest beaches we have been on.

The first thing we noticed when we arrived was the sheer size of the complex, it is huge. It's set in lovely surroundings, a lake and palm trees and the lots of amentities - resturants and supermarkets etc.
We stayed in Minerva II, which turned out to be about 10/15 minutes walk from the main enterance of the complex. Our apartment was basic but comfortable enough for a weeks stay. You can opt to pay for extra facilites, more tv channels, a fan, iron etc. We did experience a few ants in our room, but they were easily dealt with by standing on them!!! Our room was unfortunatly facing a busy main road too.
Overall, we didnt spend too much time in the complex, we walked to the beach everyday which is about 15 mins away (once you've walked out of the main enterance!!)There are lots of resturants, supermarkets and shops as you leave the Bellevue too. The waterpark is also about 20mins walk from the apartments.
The staff were friendly too and dealt with any queries we had.
I'd stay at the Bellevue again but only after we had tried other apartments in Alcudia first.

Entertainment was good for adults and children and plenty of things to do and plenty of places to go for children of all ages. I was all inclusive, food and drink were fine, but weren't treated as well as those who were paying for their food and drink.
Felt a bit like second class citizens. Rooms definately need air conditioning, and make sure you use plenty of mosquito repellant.
Complex well situated if you do need to go outside. 15 minutes walk from beach, but the boat run by the complex - which we thought was courtesy service - was a rip off at 4 euros each person.
Despite that, it was a really good holiday. Would definately go back. :)

Whilst staying there the lift broke a number of times but luckily there were 3 of them.
The complex its self is nice and clean and very very big. The only downside about the pool area was that there are not enough sunbeds, we stayed for 2 weeks and only got a sunbed 3 times, we were on the grass the rest of the time.
Our towels were only changed twice during our 2 week stay although the room was cleaned about 4 times.
As we were self catering we did not eat at the hotel but at the nearby restaurants. Our favourite was yummy yummys which is just across the road and has lovely food and then a fun quiz to do!
The entertainment in the hotel was good if not cheesy.
All in all I would not visit this hotel again as it is in a quiet location and
I would have liked it a bit more livley. All the pubs closed there doors at 12 and you had to sit indoors after that.
But had a lovely time.

We got to the Bellvue at 11:30am with no room available until 3:00pm. This we was told was check in time after waiting until 2:15pm we went back to reception and explained we couldn't wait any longer, because of the sheer heat; they found us a room, luckier than another family who waited till 4:00pm.
There was no air conditioning in the room we woke up wet through with sweat every morning and that was if you could sleep. The sheets on the beds were not changed for the whole 2 weeks and the towels were only changed twice.
The cleaner came just to empty the bins. Bellevue had beautiful surroundings all of the pools were lovely, entertainment excellent, most of the acts we have seen on "Costa cabaret" on sky tele.
Stayed there 8 years ago, much improved.
Especially liked the Italian restaurant the dolcia-vita on site; food excellent.
The reps were not very helpful.
The mozzies were a problem. After reading some reviews on this site it's not like Butlins or Blackpool with "sun".

The rooms are never cleaned, towels changed once, and sheets not once during the fortnight.
The bellevue is a massive complex so be prepared to walk and walk and walk
We tried the hotel food a few nights and found it to be quite good but the staff were anything but friendly.
The pool area was rarely cleaned and to get a bed if you weren't there for 830 forget it
All in all...never again.

We didn't eat on-site either as there is so much choice out of the complex and we liked to have a walk about at night and choose somewhere different to eat. There was a few places to choose from though on-site.
Our rooms were tidied and our towels changed every other day which was great and our sheets were changed maybe once I would have liked it to be more as it was very hot at night and you did get rather hot and sweaty. This is why you must buy or hire a fan other wise it will be impossible to sleep. We hired one which was about 44euros + 10euros deposit for 2 weeks which we think is really expensive about
