We have travelled to many hotels (all inclusive basis and different ratings) but this all inclusive hotel was the most expensive and yet it turned out to be the worst ever we have every travelled to, we arrived to a hell hole the noise was disgusting with hotel staff seeming either to not care or not able to control this, it was like a doss house or youth hostel with teenagers running riot, swearing, fighting and in some instances parents too, this is not in our eyes a family hotel. We tried to give this hotel a go but come the second night we requested to be moved (and many other people too) only to be told that the only accommodation they had was self catering apartments, I'm sorry but we did not pay

On the whole the majority of the reviews I had read prior to going where fairly applicable.

Yes the rooms need upgrading, new bathrooms, bigger balconies, more wardrobe space. Beds are made daily, towels changed every three days. However the place is just too large and the residents too numerous and too messy for the staff to keep up with. I got the impression that job satisfaction was quite low and they did the basic cleaning routine. However as soon as they cleaned something five minutes later it was dirty again.

Food was good, loads of it, some days better than others but got repetitive after two weeks. You wanted for nothing however.

Entertainment was all right. Some better than others, enough variety for all members of our family. Kids loved it. Loads for them to do.

One word to describe this place. Busy. It never stopped moving. I feel I need another holiday to recover. Can't say I would stay here again.

Felt very apprehensive before we travelled due to the bad reviews.

On arrival kept an open mind - hotel staff were welcoming and room basic but clean.

Food a little disappointing, although there was everything for every taste, it just wasn't hot enough, but I suppose thats how the spanish serve it. Restaurant very clean and waitresses very friendly in the Marte. Restaurant staff not so pleasant in Jupiter & Saturno!

My biggest concern was the fact that because all 3 hotels are open to all, there is a serious accident waiting to happen - the complex is over-run with children/teenagers/Chav's running riot. We witnessed teenagers of around 13 years old staggering drunk around the complex, one was lay on the floor vomiting.

The pool areas were the worst areas for poor hygiene-there was food thrown in the pool, what looked like baby poo and remnants of a nappy floating, and people had disregarded plastic cups/plates during the day which were left.

I felt sorry for the cleaning staff as they seemed to be constantly cleaning up. Drinks & bits of disregarded food would be dropped on the stairs up to the rooms and the cleaners would be on their hands & knees scrubbing up the mess. It was not down to poor standards of the hotel, it was some of the people that were staying there.

The only way the complex could be described is like Pontins Spanish style! which is a shame.

I was also unhappy with the fact that we had to queue for drinks around the pool side. Many guests were staying all inclusive but had other relatives staying self catering and was feeding them for free which made the queue worse. In the end we would just go to the beach out of the hustle & bustle and probably didn't get the benefit out of the all inclusive that we had booked and paid for.

On a positive note there was a free bus service back and forth to the beach every half hour which was good!!

My advise for anyone going to this complex: Everyone is different, we all have different expectations & after all, your holiday is what you make it!!

We had looked at the reports on here the day before we left and were very apprehensive to say the least.

However I can say that we thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks stay at the Jupiter.

We had a family room which was of a decent size and yes, it may need updating but i dont mind if the cupboards looked abit shabby, does it matter when all you do is put your clothes in it?

The staff were all very friendly and were always smiling. Plenty for the kids to do and the pools were brilliant. I would agree however that the entertainment is not great for Adults and does start a bit too late, and yes they could do with a few more chairs.

I would also agree that it can be noisy and busy but what do you expect from a family hotel with loads of kids running round!! Why do people go to a family hotel if they want peace and quiet???

The food was brilliant and plenty of it. The hotel is down the road from the centre of town but the free bus takes you there and its a lovely evening walk anyway.

I was worried after reading all the reviews..but you have to see for yourself... I had every reason to be!!!!

It was a complete culture shock.

My strongest view was the way the British acted,Dirty nappies in the lake,food when finished with just thrown on the floor,teenagers drunk(which I must add was not taken from over the bar but from the local Spar).

You dont go away to find youths fighting and abusive language.

I took to teenage girls with me and feared for them at times.

After trying to find a nice area to sunbathe in we found the "relaxing area",two days in to the holiday while oiled up enjoying the sun a gardener stared to cut the lawn,after complaining to a rep he just carried on and got the strimmer out the next day. Im sure it could have been done either early or meal times.

The lifts are terrible-and takes a good 15mins to get cases to the room.

When in the room it was tatty,small and even smaller balcony(one case spent its holiday there).

The lounge area was just a smoke room,deadly in the day with slippy tiles!

On a good note the food was A1 and drink ample.
Bar staff wonderful and cleaners tried to make good from bad,bless them.

The reps-well blink and they have gone,never had to wait for a rep for the welcome meeting before.
When we booked this holiday it was a four star and then downgraded to a three-that is far to high.

We went to one of the sister hotels for a film one eening and the ceiling was leaking,what more can i say.

If you expect a certain standard from your holiday please please dont go here!!

If you dont believe me I dare you to try it..

Its funny when you get back from somewhere so bad that you find so many people who have been and feel the same.

Me and my family stayed in the Marte Hotel. It was a clean and friendly environment.

The food was excellent in main meals and my daughter enjoyed the snack bars.

This was our first time all inclusive and we loved it. There are about 9 pools and they are all lovely. We only stayed around one all holiday but we did try different pools occasionally.

The entertainment for the children was excellent as well. There would be a movie on the Jupiter stage at 9.30 and there was also a childrens world with the likes of bouncy castles and the bungee trampoline and electric cars.

My daughter is 12 but she still liked to go on the bouncy castles with her friends.

The entertainment for the adults was reasonable but not the best we have seen.
The staff did do some shows and they were good but the shows that came in were not that good.

The staff and cleaners are very nice and friendly. The hotel rooms get cleaned every day and they are spotless. The hotel receptions are also clean. The drinks are very good. You could always get a drink even if it was just a cup of tea or coffee.

It was our best holiday yet and we couldn't fault it.

Hotel Club Marte just about makes average in my opinion in just about every aspect.
Cleanliness is only just there!! First thing in the morning cleaners are around for a couple of hours putting right the foul mess other guests left in communal areas from the evening before!!
The stagnant boating lake gives rise to a host of very hungry mosquitos - beware!!
Food is in abundance and I have to say, none of us had a funny tummy.
Entertainment is ok and I guess you may enjoy it if you've never stayed anywhere decent before!! My kids are 15yrs, 13yrs and a baby - the older ones seemed to enjoy what was going on.
Top Tip - think twice before you rush here !!

Rooms: quite big 2 double beds, we had a cot in our room for our baby still plenty room not enough storage though.

Cleaned everyday towels changed every 3 days but if you need clean ones maids were quite happy to give you more. Quiet at night as well except for some inconsiderate people letting their kids running up and down, lifts: not good had to drag my buggy with my 7month baby. Three lifts for one hotel and two were running fine third lift constantly not working main problem was parents letting their children play in them pressing all the buttons my husband had a run in with two teenagers when they pressed all the buttons. When confronted they acted if they hadn't done anything wrong.

Food and drink: food was great nothing to complain about we are not fussy people .The alcohol was ok locally produced, beer was San Miguel vodka and other spirits were quite strong we couldn't drink it after the first week we bought our own from the shop across the road next to the Harp bar. Fizzy juice only diet coke the rest was fizzy and sugary kids have just come down from all the sugar

Entertainment: was good we all loved Club Macs party songs chi chu wah song was great still singing it two my self rep shows were good as well Rocky Horror show and Grease. Karaoke nights was good as well except for my brother in law going up to sing Westlife Queen of my Heart sorry if you remember him! Kids show were ok they put on films for them which my oldest has seen a million times .

The whole complex was kept clean all the time cleaning crew were out at 1am every morning. Tourists however are making a name for themselves being very rude, selfish, letting there kids do what ever they want drinking, fighting at the lake at night security was very good dispersed them very quickly .Despite some of the negatives of this complex they are more positives we had a great time so don't listen to people who hate it because they probably are couples elderly or complete snobs go and have a good time.

PS at night Club Mac turns into a wee village with stalls and tattooist which is very good hubby got a one very clean and professional and reasonable 80euros for rangers crest hair braiding in hairdressers very expensive go to the beach and get ii done cheaper.

Stayed in this hotel last year and year before that. Going back again in July, two weeks this time, week wasn't enough.

Plenty variety of food, friendly staff. We have two teenage children that make friends very easily, as there are plenty of children there(dont go if you dont have children)we don't see much of them and have a relaxing time ourselves.

Always get some people moaning, but the only problem is other people leaving litter everywhere.

Have recommended several people to go to this hotel and all have enjoyed.

Only problem we had was dedicated holidays going bust, but have booked with Cosmos this year.

12 adults 5 children went on this holiday.

Hotel to far out the town

Food was disgusting, both in the restaurant and the snack bars, example when kids were getting chip some were spilt over the hot plates staff just wiped them up with a cloth back into the tray. Drink was as bad soft drinks were fizzy water, beer don't know although it was a brand name it didn't taste the same as the pub across the road

Hotel staff did their best to keep the place tidy but it was a loosing battle people just dropping this on the ground when they were finished

Kids running wild not paying any attention to any safety rules around the hotel making fools off the life guards with their parents cheering them on. We stopped going to the pool and went to the beach due to all the carry on around the pool

This was not the worst holiday we have been on but it did come close.

We never drank in the hotel we always went out (kids 13/14 getting drunk and being sick everywhere again not the hotels fault)I also stopped eating in the hotel after the 1st week (although others in my party did) as an all-inclusive I spent more money going out that I had not budgeted for.

We were counting the days until we came home. Not value for money hotel would be better half board then you could do what you want
