Try to avoid repeatedly paying by card, pay just one bank charge by paying with cash. There is a cash machine outside The White Rose bar just two minutes walk from the hotel.

Rooms overlooking the pool are noisy til ~ 11pm .I suspect that mountain view rooms would be quieter. The lifts don't serve every floor.

Puerto pollensa is a lovely resort.
It is quiet and select and is great for a relaxing holiday for couples [in May anyway]and is excellent for children as the beach is very safe and not too crowded.
I would definitely visit again.

The resort is stunning. Peaceful. Delightful. Loads of fantastic restaurants. La Maina is one of the best. Highly recommend the resort. I have been going to Puerto Pollensa for 6 years. This year is the worst apartments ever. Other than that a fabulous place.

Small but pleasant resort, did'nt actually go on the beach here but it looked fine. Formentor beach (9km away) is beautiful, but you need a car to get there because of all the hairpin bends!

We're regulars to Puerto Pollensa and the surrounding area because it suits us so well and we love the variety of scenery that is so close. We've taken our children there when they were little and when they were teenagers, and sometimes we've taken grandparents, too: it's that kind of place. Yes, it is somewhat Anglicised, with quite a significant ex-pat population, but it is ideal for a relaxing holiday. It seems to appeal to a wide selection of people and never seems overcrowded. We've seen it quieter in August than in October. There are plenty of places to eat out from very reasonable to very expensive. There does now seem to be a Burger King, but otherwise the big "fast food" companies do not seem to have encroached. It's not the place for a hectic night life, but that is available not too far away at Alcudia if you want it. If, however, you want a slightly old-fashioned seaside holiday that can be enjoyed by all the family, Puerto Pollensa has a lot to recommend it.

We went to the restaurant Tolos just opposite the beach every morning for a really lovely English breakfast,at the opposite end to the pine walk. We also had a few evening meals there which were really lovely, nice friendly staff too. Our favourite restaurant was the Casinet (only opened this summer) which was on the pine walk next door to the Hotel Daina. The food was really brilliant, staff very very friendly, especially the lovely Lilly, and on Mon, Wed and Sat they have a guitar player named Mariano Miranda who is just unbelievable, you must go and listen to him its a real treat! The resort itself was lovely, although we did suffer with some flies which we were told are often a nuisance in Sept but no other month. The sand sculptures were wonderful to see, the atmosphere laid back, very relaxing, good food, drink and friendly atmosphere. Very beautiful beaches with a stunning mountain back ground, loads of fishes swimming around your feet, which love to be fed and swirl all around you, amazing! Not a resort with lots of entertainment, but the Hotels all do some kind of 'show' so you can always go along to one of those or book a trip to a show in Palma. Enjoy. :)

Port de Pollensa is quiet, but not dead.
Plenty of good restaurants and bars, many serving traditional Mallorquin food - special mention for Neptuno, with the superb tapas and snacks, Bona Cepa with a range of Mallorquin cuisine, and L'Itaca, with its delicous twists, and fantastic setting beneath the palms.
Everywhere we went, people were very friendly and courteous, and even suffered our attempts at Spanish with a good humour. The promenade is beautiful - not just the famous Pine Walk, but all of it, and the hills behind the resort tempting us to wander over the Bocquer Valley.
Great place for a relaxing holiday. Loved it, and can't wait to return.

Puerto Pollensa is definitely one of our favourite destinations. The beach is superb, and the mountains behind give it a stunning backdrop. It is always a pleasure to stroll along the promenade in the evening, enjoying the view and choosing which restaurant to eat in. Our two recommendations would be La Goleta and IRU, both have superb fish & seafood.

This was my first visit to this resort and I was very impressed. It is ideal for fasmilies with the beach. The only evening entertainment appears to be eating and drinking with numerous bars and restaurants, serveing a vast variety of different types of food. Some of these provide free entertainment, and there are a few street entertainers which go from bar to bar, although you can get bored with the same entrtasiners night after night.
On a personal note, although the school holidays had finished, there were too many under family group's with under 5's for me, whom did not seem to go to bed until after midnight. If the weather is not good, there is not much to do ecept to continue eating and drinking.

Just down the road (about a 5 min walk with all the inflatables and beech stuff!) is a good sized beech. Very cleam indeed. The sea is shallow and warm. (A tip to catch the fish. Get an empty 5ltr water bottle, cut 1/2 of one side out 1/2 way between the top and bottom, get some bread, place in the sea and hey presto the swim in. Great fun for the big kids!!). There are plenty of places to eat lunch from a sandwich to a full blown meal.
We only have 6 weeks to go and were off there again!
