The resort of Santa Ponsa is an enjoyable place to stay..although out of season there was still enough choice of restaurants to eat at and plenty of shops to spend your money in..It is a clean resort but not sure about the dog poo..there did seem to be quite alot of it scattered around the pathways..(my daughter could find it with her eyes shut) Again because it was out of season there wasnt many people on the beach although the weather was lovely and sunny everyday we were there and quite warm..(well compared to this country its nice) Would go back to santa ponsa again when in season because its close to the water parks and entertainment which is great if you have kids..

REsort ok bit quiet as end of season and weather not good 4 rainy cold days. Plenty of irish bars as well all in all would not return to hotel or Resort as I have been to the resort twice now and thats plenty. Dont go to Wok Wok it gave us bad bellies and was rubbish. Reas is good, Diablo nice. The watering hole is good nice food and films on also you can sit outside round the nice pool and garden area. Beach nice snorkling not to bad round the rocky parts. Shpooing poor best to go to Palma for that. Visit Magaluf at night time good night out a bit wild. MUst see Pirates show and Marineland is a good day out. It is a good base for exploring more of the island. But when it rains there is nothing to do other than go in the bars that all show Father Ted or Peter Kay !! its very very irish if you dont like irish people music or food dont go !

sadly there is a lot of building work going on in santa ponsa, high on the west hill, which involves a 40 tonne jackhammer banging away 12 hours a day including saturday.
The noise rebounds all over the resort and will drive you mad.
The bars are closing for the end of season, so not much open now, resort entertainment consists of singers in bars and locals dressed as indians pretending to play the pan pipes on the street,(hidden tapes) don't be fooled!
Not a lot else to say, wouldn't go back ever !!
Try Croatia or Poland, basically anywhere, Spain has had its day !!

We regret we cannot comment on the resort of Santa Ponsa because owing to the terrain being unsuitable for a wheelchair, we were unable to visit it.

Santa Ponsa was a lovely friendly resort. You can easily walk from one side to the other along the beach.
Sea was lovely, even in October. The beach was clean. There is a shaded area with trees which is home to a family of green budgies.
Buses go from the town centre regularly, to lots of places - but be warned that you have to push your way onto the bus as they don't believe in queueing!
The resort is clean, the one thing that ruined it for me is the constant smoking everywhere, even where food is served.
Best food we had was Sunday lunch at Granny's - lovely food and two lovely ladies who made us feel very welcome. We ate there all week and didn't have a bad meal once. As it was the end of the season there wasn't much on in the way of entertainment in the resort, which suited us as we could have a quiet drink and chat - you can even watch the soaps every night in the bars!
During the season there is a lot more in the way of entertainment in the town.

Such a lovely place! Lots of Irish people - which is great as they're usually up for a drink!! Met some locals who were great to talk to and recommend places. I would recommend a couple of restaurants to try: The Duke of York (the food was plentiful and delicious!!) & The Pepperpot (good deals, and again, very tasty!). The beach is about a 10 minute walk away, but you pass many little shops so its quite a nice walk. Or (which i preferred) you can walk out of the hotel (by the swimming pool) down over the rocks and cove beaches all the way along to the beach...just keep walking and you'll eventually get to the beach. Fabulous views and really lovely getting that sea breeze in your face. This round is not recommended for a family with buggys!!! - Overall, a fab place which I would definitely be keen on visiting again.

Santa Ponsa.
Lovely family resort.
Compact, so not far to beach, shops, bars, buses etc.
Beach - nice sand, sea was warm, lots of fish visible. A bit smelly (sewage) on RHS of river outlet (looking out to sea) so we stayed to the left.
Handy for attractions in Magaluf (Pirates, Western Water Park etc) and not too far from Palma.

We had already been to Santa Ponsa 4 years before and everything was as we left it. It was really clean and the local people are really friendly and have a lot of time for children. We had great meals in every night from De Vinci's to Kelly's corner we never had a bad night. One night we walked up to the square, which was a long way from our accomodation, I can imagin in the hight of summer it would be full of fun and laughter but in eptember it was a bit of a let down, it all looked a bit tired. We went as a single couple and loved the alcohol and shops, and returned as a family with my mum for the pools and beaches and had a fantastic but very different holiday each time. A great resort that offers something for everyone! Roll on next year.

We would go out to eat every night and found it great value for money. For the 4 of us it didnt cost more than €40 for a 1 course meal and a drink was included in that price.
We went to the Royal Garden a few nights just for the entertainment and the singer there Mark Ritchie is amazing he sings mostly country and some Eagles, Neil Diamond. Well worth going to see him its a great night.
We went to the square a few nights but wasnt very impressed with most of the acts.
