Santa Ponsa is one of the best area's of Majorca that we have stayed in. Its peaceful, safe, pretty, very clean and has amazing views over the bay and out to sea. I do believe in the 1980's it was a huge 'time-share' area and some of the properties off the beaten track are wonderful.
The beach is ideal for water-sport enthusiasts and there are plenty of shops around selling anything from sarong's to trinkets to handbags, shoes, perfume, postcards really anything you need from a sea-side resort.
The nightlife is relaxed and there are plenty of restaurants, bars and cafe's to choose from. The square is popular with families as there is evening entertainment on daily, but it was a little quiet for us so we headed off by taxi each evening into Magaluf. The taxi ride cost around 10 euro's each way but split between four of us was not bad. Ask the taxi driver to take you to the 'Red Lion' pub district. This is the place to 'be seen'. Its just one long road of modern, trendy pubs and clubs.
We would definately stay in Santa Ponsa again, especially around the Punta Del Mar hotel area, on the headland, its just peaceful and with the most spectacular views over the bay and the sea.

Santa Ponsa is a relaxed resort there a loads of bars and clubs and boat trips.
The beach is very good loads of sunbeds for hire. There is a smaller beach and a marina about 20 min walk round the bay.
There were no timeshare pests when we visited but it was late in the season.
A lot of bars are British owned so you can get chatting and get information on the area on what to see and do.

Went on a stag weekend and it is an amzing place for going out on the lash lots of bars and night clubs.
Santa Ponsa was also a beautiful town and the service was highly impressive. All in all a top place for a holiday and do the touristy thing.

This is a very nice place to holiday. There are many bars to visit and good variety of them. Many of the bars are of Irish theme and many of them had live music with the emphasis being folk songs. All in all a very good resort to visit.

The first thing you will notice when you visit the resort of Santa Ponsa, is its cleanliness. The streets are sweeped daily and there is little or no rubbish along the roads.
The centre of the town is largely based around the beachfront, which boasts a fantastic sandy man-made beach, with sunbeds and sunshades for hire should you require them. There is a lifeguard on duty every day, and there is a marked-off area in the sea where it is safe to swim. The sea even has its own mini-entertainment area, which has 2 slides. You can hire manual or motorised pedlos, and there are several huts along the town where you can book boat trips/jet ski hire.
The town has a slightly bar/clubby end near the 'Sun Beach' area and has a Spanish Square which provides free entertainment every night.
There are plenty of pubs/restaurants along the beachfront, i recommend Crocodillo's and Tony's Snack Bar as they speak very good english, are really friendly and serve a good choice of delicious food.
The resort is lively but not over the top, families and those who wish to have quiet nights out can do so, and those that wish to go pubbing/clubbing can do so without disturbing the others.
There is a bus service that provides trips to the local Aqua park and marine park, and also a taxi rank should you wish to book up your excursions with them. There are also plenty of pharmacys and places to exchange your travellers cheques and money (Jutlandia apartments offers this service at competetive prices) and places to book excursions (Jutlandia also offers many discounted tickets so its worth checking their prices before booking with other companies).
