This is a large hotel and I stayed in block two which seemed the best option (I had e-mailed the hotel previously to request) it is not noisy and close to amenities

Shop around for the best price. sometimes it is cheaper to use the internet like Trivago and other times booking with the hotel direct is cheaper, strange but the last booking I made for later in the year I am making a saving of £40 a night on an airport hotel booking. Some hotels like Barcelo give discounts if you register with them under their My Barcelo banner 5% plus 5% for over 55's.

Away from the swimming pool area, very noisy all afternoon, those who wanted their afternoon siesta were not happy.

Don't take a room at the back of the hotel as these seem to be the ones plagued by mosquitoes.

Slightly more than a 20 minute walk from town. Car definitely needed, but well worth it.

The shopping centre next door to the hotel is great for shopping, especially shoes!!
There is also restuarants, pool tables, internet access, a bowling alley, cinema and a supermarket. The hotel is remote but it depends on what you want.
I went for a two week sunbathe by the pool. If you want a lively holiday its not for you. The beach is right by the hotel but it is Volcanic so shingly.
The town is 15 minutes walk away or 2 euros by taxi but that does have quite a few bars and shops if you want more nightlife.
In the hotel in the evening there is kids mini disco then at 930 the entertainment starts. The 4 tops are the best, Valentines and the Bee Gees are good and the others average. It finishes about 11pm.

The place itself was very nice and hot but there is not a great deal here its good for the children but not very good for nightlife as there was no nightclubs here.
The beach was clean. There was good entertainment in our hotel, we mainly went to the Mirador which had a great mini disco for the kids and bingo and then an entertainer for the adults eg, Elvis, Abba.

Resort like the hotel was spotlessly clean, the only bit of rubbish we saw was what was washed up on the rocks by the hotel.
The oceanarium with Harley the Seal is brill. Beach is lovely and calm and does not go to deep, although it is a little pebbley in parts in the sea. There are sun loungers and umbrellas to hire and a little cafe on the beech.
There also plenty of vending machines around the resort. There are a few pubs and restaurants about, but not the place if you want a proper clubbing resort, it is more family orientered. We found the best pubs in the evening for entertainment were, The Dome and Perreos.
Oasis park was great, animals, sealion show, parrot show etc. There is a water park about half an hour away, but we did not visit it. We hired a car which was the best thing we did as we got to see a lot more of the island and also visited beeches only accesable by car.
At one point we were the only ones on the beach, it was like paradise. But beware by going to these secluded beeches we stumbled across a couple of nudist beeches.

We were quite dissappointed by the resort, we were expectng it to be quite but not as quiet as it was. There is a lovely beach away from the main one and it is directly behind the Atlantico Shopping centre, very clean and no stones!!! Very safe as the sea is closed out by the rocks.

A really good family resort but very quiet at night.

We found the resort to be very clean and pleasant with some nice shops & bars. The man made beach was ok but a lot of pebbles in the sea making it difficult to walk, because of this we rarely used it although we are both beach lovers. I would probably visit this resort again sometime in the future.

again we found caleta de fuste nice and clean. very easy to get about. easy access for wheel chairs and prams/buggies. plenty of bars and restaurants, although we were away from the main town we did venture in a few times. we visited the greek place i think its called syrtaki the meal was gorgeous! the service was good too. we also went to a carribean restaurant cant remenber the name but it was below caleta gardens. that was so different we loved it! there was a little bistro we went to a lot called suzi's lovely food, lovely staff benny, suzi, izzy. just up the hill from us, chipmonk hill, is a lovely bar called travellers rest, there you also you get great food nice friendly staff, they also give you nuts for the chipmonks across the road. most of the time we went to places in little britain, montecostillo centre, there we enjoyed meals in the ranch, nice breakfast in chaplins, which by the way, is also a family bar with a fish and chip shop on the side! best ever prawn cocktail starter in the parrot! and their brazed lamb mmmmm. lovely chinese too, not the buffet. then to finish, into the bell, with steve and dee, the best english pub. or the thistle, with russell, the best scottish pub. we will definately be going back, just wish we were there now!

The resort itself is a quiet resort but not too busy. Plenty to do but I bet in a couple of years even more.
The Atlantico Centre is ideal especially the Eurospar for some odds and ends (so much more cheaper).
The Monte Castillo Centre has some great eateries ie The Ranch, The chinese restaurant at the top of the stairs (Not the buffet one) & we had a great breakfast in Chaplins.

The resort of Caleta is ideal for a relaxing holiday but not much in the way of nightlife and not much to see after first week.
Make sure that you explore the resort properly as there are places away from the main square that we didnt know existed for the first few days of our holiday.
Get on the train from the harbour and it will take you around the resort and you will see them. The resort is clean and mostly well maintained.
The beach was ok but sharp rocks on way into sea and also a lot of rather large grey fish swimming around. There is a better beach up by the Atlantico centre. Food is reasonable.
A word of advice stay away from anyone offering scrathcards or trying to sell timeshare as can be very difficult to get away from.
Kids had a great time feeding the chipmunks at the harbour and there is a lovely breeze if you walk along here.
