This is a large hotel and I stayed in block two which seemed the best option (I had e-mailed the hotel previously to request) it is not noisy and close to amenities

Shop around for the best price. sometimes it is cheaper to use the internet like Trivago and other times booking with the hotel direct is cheaper, strange but the last booking I made for later in the year I am making a saving of £40 a night on an airport hotel booking. Some hotels like Barcelo give discounts if you register with them under their My Barcelo banner 5% plus 5% for over 55's.

Caleta was in generally very clean, plenty of bins about. There is a wide choice of bars and resturants available although they may not be ideal if your looking for a traditional Spanish resort. In addition to bars etc there is also a cinema complex and bowling alley at the Atlantico. We found the bowling ideal for getting the children out of the mid-day sun.
The beach is man made so a little hard however it is shallow and really safe for children with markers seperating the swimming area from the water sports. There is also a new beach being constructed behind the Atlantico Shopping centre half of which is open and is beautiful.

the resort is scattered but there are shops for everything and restaurants to suit everybodies taste. The Indian was Best meal we had in two weeks, the beach is very good and clean also.A must for the kids is to see the wild chipmunks on the seafront and let them take nuts out of your hands.

Caleta de Fuste itself is a small, and fairly compact.

It is a short stroll (down hill) from the caleta Amarillo.
There is a lovely little shopping centre, which is friendly and has enough 2 make us girls happy but not so much that the other half starts groaning ha ha!!

In the street across the road from the lovely shops is a street full of lovely restaurants, the choice is amazing mexican, chinese, indian, italian, canarian, tapas, steak houses, all of which are reasonably priced and very busy (always a good sign to my mind!!!)

We took the kids to the mini golf for the evening this overlooks the beach which again is lovely a horseshoe shaped bay with golden sand and shallow water ideal for kids.

At the other side of the resort is the atlantico centre. This looks fairly new and consists of a shopping mall, supermarket, Burgerking, Mcdonalds, a cinema and bowling alley. Took the kids bowling which thet thoroughly enjoyed.
Moonlit bowling starts form 9pm. It is very clean, modern and a great way 2 spend the evening.

We hired a car for a couple of days and went north for the first day to Corralejo. This is a larger, busier resort from which you can take a boat or catamaran to Lanzarote.

Baku water park is also here and again is fairly new and well worth a visit loads of rides a good day out.
My fav part of the north was the sand dunes which were just amazing!!

To the south of Caleta de Fuste is Jandia and Pasis Park. Jandia is again a pleasant resort but the beaches are spectacular!!

If you are looking for a relaxing value for money holiday, in a resort that is fairly quiet but charming then look no further Caleta de Fuste has every thing you need whilst remaining quietly unspolit and overcommercialised.

Happy holidays!!!!!
P.S. What do people dislike about tatoos and loud people???
Live and let live!!

No complaints about the cleanliness of the surrounding area. Local chemist is very helpful. Barterring is a must when you visit the market.

The resort itself does not have alot going on but try visiting Whikis which is across the road and down some steps. Had a great Elvis night. It then turns into a disco after 12pm for the teenagers to enjoy.

The Thomas Cook Friday evening Fuerte Fever is compulsory. Excellent work by the reps. Real fun night.

Scuba diving was enjoyed by alot of our group.

Going all inclusive is well worth it. None of the keep getting your purse out for the kids drinks etc. We definately had our monies worth. The scales are showing that.

Good time had by all.

What Resort , man made beach that turns to mud and rocks when the tide is out , why do they lie in the brochure ? Its rubbish. Decent little harbour and commericial centre but really cant be called a resort for another 5 years or so of building work , a barren desert like outpost , wherte the planes wake you every day at 0730. It should not be in any brochure , RESORT , I think not.

The resort was always very clean, the resort staff always, washing down paths, general maintenance, and they never got in anyones way.

Resort entertainment very good, the First Choice reps work extremly hard, and I think people who have a complaint/ problem are very rude, One rep was actually sworn at, I would have walked away too.

We never used the beach just walked to it one evening, but not ideal for little ones. I wouldn't go to this resort again, reason being we never go to the same place twice.

Expect to feed the beautiful cats at the Cat Cafe. The little train was very useful, and no we don't have tattoo's or wear football shirts.!!!!

Resort was clean, when the builders wer'nt around, entertainment was very poor, & amateurish.the beach, was nothing like the brochure, said it would be !

Nice sand, till you get to waters edge, then sharp rocks,I can't see us ever going back to this resort !

was great although a little rocky in places so our kids wore swim shoes to go in. Fish swim round your feet and if you get some bread they come and eat it kept them amused for ages!

Also its great to visit chipmunk mountain if you go here as they come up and eat nuts out your hand the kids were fascinated. Its up by the hotel Elba looks like waste land and you tap the nuts in the day on rocks and they come running out!

All in all it was a fab holiday great place weather was brill with a constant breeze which was bearable to sit in. We visited Jandia and Correleja but found Caleta the best. Hope this helps!
