This is a large hotel and I stayed in block two which seemed the best option (I had e-mailed the hotel previously to request) it is not noisy and close to amenities

Shop around for the best price. sometimes it is cheaper to use the internet like Trivago and other times booking with the hotel direct is cheaper, strange but the last booking I made for later in the year I am making a saving of £40 a night on an airport hotel booking. Some hotels like Barcelo give discounts if you register with them under their My Barcelo banner 5% plus 5% for over 55's.

Do not except a bungalow near the road that surrounds this complex i as was told by other holidaymakers who stayed here they were the ones that got robbed on a regular basis . the words quick getaway come to mind

Away from the swimming pool area, very noisy all afternoon, those who wanted their afternoon siesta were not happy.

Don't take a room at the back of the hotel as these seem to be the ones plagued by mosquitoes.

Slightly more than a 20 minute walk from town. Car definitely needed, but well worth it.

I have been to this resort 6 times. I love Caleta de Fuste,I go for its peacfulness its a place you can unwind.
The walk way by the harbour and on onwards has been extended quite a way now so you can really get away from it all.
We took grapes and nuts and hand fed the chipmunks that live in the rocks by the sea.
The resort has grown a lot since I first started going so be careful where you stay as you may have builders nearby.
I think the resort is suitable for families with young children, if you have teenagers you might have a problem.

Stayed in Caleta de Fuste now known as costa caleta had a wonderful time, there is a mass of places to eat if you are self catering.
You have to try Fado rock in the centre of Caleta for the best steak in town. Also the picnic box is a great place down at the harbour it is english owned and run by Steve and Julie . Food excellent, hospitality 100%wont be dissapointed. You could also try Legends larder up the stairs in the centre of Caleta it also has legends sports bar. and also legends 60s bar.
All these places I have tried and can vouch for their service food entertainment etc.

This hotel is out of the way a few miles from Calete de Fuste therefore a car is a must. It is a good central point to travel to all areas of the island and the facilities are ample.
There is plenty of free parking and the staff are very helpful.
If you want a quiet relax out of season this is for you, however I gather it gets very busy at the height of season and the amneties cant cope, ie sunbeds etc..

Didn't think much about the resort, only visited on a couple of occasions. Visited the Legends Bar, saw Elvis (although I always thought that he had died a good few years ago) and Kenny Dene, his show was very good if you are interested in 60's music.

The resort was fairly clean and had lots to do.There is a market on a Saturday morning which is popular.
The reps can organise trips to this. The is a local OUTDOOR water park. We visited this.
It was very clean and good fun, but please take lots of suncream, sunhats, and always wear a t-shirt on the slides. They are very health and safety conscious but you are there for a whole day and it gets to a point where you are waiting to get back and sit and have a drink in the shade!
We didn't visit the beach for the day, we preferred the poolside.
We loved this holiday and recommend it to everyone!

Nice resort. We only ventured out of the hotel complex once or twice as when you've paid for an all inclusive holiday you get mean about having to buy food and drink elsewhere!
The beach was clean with lots of sun loungers available for hire.

The resort is for a quiet family holiday ,the beach is good for families ,however the beach further on near the shopping mall is far nicer ,the entertainment was low key and better in the hotels than bars. 14 days a bit too much probably 10 nights would be better ,we visited the aquapark good day out ,also went to paradise park went on a camel ride ,birds etc great day out there , I would not go here again mainly because I like to go to different places but if I had some spare money then would go again for a relaxing hols but stay in 4 star hotel next time

Like most Spanish resorts very very clean, resort entertainment was a bit like Blackpool, the beach has small pieces of pumice in it which is sharp if you step on it barefoot.

The resort is still being developed, but wouldn't like to see it too developed. We like a nice quiet relaxing break and Caleta is ideal for this.
There are not enough bins around the beach area and litter can be scattered about in the rocks (chipmunk side) Also the street lights were never on at night on this side which was dissapointing as this is a great walk if you need to get some air. (it was very hot when we visited - not very windy at all, which we expected after hearing about sand sticking to your face, which never happened. I would have preferred more wind!)
Great choice of places to eat - Fado Rock Steakhouse and Ve Viento (Italian which we would never have discovered if we hadn't been handed a menu in the street. It is hidden down a residential street). These 2 are a must - great food, atmosphere and service excellent and both very reasonably priced - extra generous measures of Tia Maria and Brandy too - hic!
If you have kids feeding the chipmunks is a must - buy some monkey nuts from the supermarket and they eat them from your hand.
Lovely harbour with submarine excursions - get a kiss from Harley the Seal - our daughter loved this.
Beach looks nice, but very rocky underfoot - fish swim round your legs too! Sandmen sculptors very artistic!
We didn't visit the market as any time we visited the shops during the day there were always timeshare touts.
Another restaurant to visit is the Slowboat (the one upstairs, next to the trampolines) - staff and food excellent - nice shot glasses too! (rude pictures on bottom)
All in all we had a brilliant relaxing holiday and would recommend to anyone. Lovely island - please do not over commercialise.
