This is a large hotel and I stayed in block two which seemed the best option (I had e-mailed the hotel previously to request) it is not noisy and close to amenities

Shop around for the best price. sometimes it is cheaper to use the internet like Trivago and other times booking with the hotel direct is cheaper, strange but the last booking I made for later in the year I am making a saving of £40 a night on an airport hotel booking. Some hotels like Barcelo give discounts if you register with them under their My Barcelo banner 5% plus 5% for over 55's.

Away from the swimming pool area, very noisy all afternoon, those who wanted their afternoon siesta were not happy.

Don't take a room at the back of the hotel as these seem to be the ones plagued by mosquitoes.

Slightly more than a 20 minute walk from town. Car definitely needed, but well worth it.

Good sized resort, probably quiet and lacking a bit on things to do, but if you're after a family holiday without noisy late night parties, thenyou'll enjoy Caleta De Fuste. Best thing is the transfer time to the airport is only 10 minutes.

Caleta de Fuste is a lovely resort for families - very clean with a large beach and lots of good restaurants and bars. It's well-positioned to explore the island - a 30 min drive North to Corralejo and it's water-park and wonderful beaches, while 45 mins South takes you to the Oasis animal park. We can recommend Fado Rock Steak house for excellent (and plentiful!!) food, and Pierro's Bar for exceptionally friendly and efficient staff and brilliant family entertainment every night.
You need to be aware, though, that the resort is on the flight path for incoming planes - a bit disconcerting at first, but you become oblivious to them within a couple of days!

Although a purpose made resort we enjoyed our break here and after hiring a car was pleased that we chose Caleta de Fuste (Costa Caleta).
There is a wide range of eateries available but only a small handfull of Spanish Tapas. The Best Tapas bar was situated at the top of the main road simply called TAPAS.
There is a great Italian called Via veneto where they offer a free bottle of wine or Sangria with your meal. it is by far the best Italian we have tasted. The pasta & Pizza selections are fantastic and the same goes for the desserts.
The best Chinese was the Great Wall. We ate at an Indian although the name escapes us which was next to the Syrtaki Greek restaurant which was extremely expensive and nothing to call home about.
Would definately recommend people to go if they want a nice winter break but take plenty of money as it is more expensive than we anticipated. Must visit the Oasis Park which is great for all the family.
Hire a car and go on your own much cheaper than using the organised trips.

Caleta was fairly quiet when we visited first week of Feb, but in saying that still plenty of bars for a good lively night.
It had the usual market which was Saturday morning, always good fun, it was a bigger place than I expected, with groups of bars and reastaraunts in different centres.
The underpass by the main road takes you up onto the start of chipmunk mountain, where it looked like this was where the resort started developing, and up there was the Motecastillo centre, which was to us the best part of Caleta. Just on the outside of the centre was our favourite bar TJB tapas jass bar, with Frank Sinatra on vinyl playing as you walk by, fantastic little bar and the owner cooks up some very tasty dishes.
Opposite was the obligatory Irish bar, which the owner of the jazz bar has just recently taken over, we were made very welcome, and would highly reccomend both bars.
Overall Caleta was fine, safe, and no hassling like some Canarian resorts. The beach was ok, but I would recommend to get out in the day and discover some of the islands fantastic beaches.

The resort was clean and modern - a fair amount of building work going on, what has been started needs to finish by the end of this year.
Entertainment - a few bars with a singer. Pieros is probably the one that attracts most custom - something on every night. Generally a very quiet resort.
Beach - excellent.
Loads of places to eat but 90% are the typical english food, quality / service varies and we found prices are higher than Lanzarote / Tenerife.
There is a Spar shop in the Atlantico centre about 20 mins walk - makes a change for Nettos !

I holidayed in Caletta approx 2 years ago and a lot of new hotels/bars have opened in that time and will continue to do so over the coming years as the resort becomes more established. The beach is fine but it does get windy at times...There are plenty of eateries around the beach as well as scuba diving and an aquarium where you can feed different types of fish (which my son enjoyed). There is a mini train that takes you around the resort for 2 euros (return) which is good value and runs every 1/2hr until approx 6.00pm. A new commercial centre approx 20 mins from caleta centre has opened that has 10pin bowling, cinema, cheap Spar supermarket, macdonalds and some cheap clothing outlets - this is well worth a visit). At night there are plenty of places to dine, Gumaries is well worth a visit next to the Old Sport Tavern as is OConnors for a perfect pint of Guinness...
All in all it was a lovely time, my son enjoyed it immensely as he was constantly playing pool/games etc which did cost us...The weather was ok (approx 18-20oC) and i would certainly think of coming back again...

The resort of Caleta De Fuste has grown considerably since we last visited eight years ago. It is still quite a pleasant and well laid out resort. The entertainment factor is a matter of taste - obviously laid on for the tourists. The beach is kept clean and although we did not go in the sea (too cold) it looked clear and safe for children. If we ever go to Fuerteventura again we will try another resort.

The resort of Caleta is small in comparison to Corralejo, but does have a varied night life depending on what your after.
Plety of bars restaurants and cafes, we did find however that the scratch card people were a pain we've never come across them in Caleta before and they could be annoying at times.
Also the touts for the bars, we were led to beleive that a number of years ago this was stopped and the bars could suffer heavy fines but that was Corralejo its never really stopped in Caleta. Don't let it put ypu off though its your choice and your holiday.
The beach is beautiful man made with plenty of beds and parasols, just a bit furthur along 5 minutes out of Caleta is a shooping centre with a cinema bowling ally amusements shops cafes a burger king and a euro spar.
Just to the front of that is another man made beach with break waters that make it ideal for small children as the water stays quite calm.
There is a lot of building work going on but a majority of that is heading up chipmonk mountain and to be honest doesn't really cause any problems.
