This is a large hotel and I stayed in block two which seemed the best option (I had e-mailed the hotel previously to request) it is not noisy and close to amenities

Shop around for the best price. sometimes it is cheaper to use the internet like Trivago and other times booking with the hotel direct is cheaper, strange but the last booking I made for later in the year I am making a saving of £40 a night on an airport hotel booking. Some hotels like Barcelo give discounts if you register with them under their My Barcelo banner 5% plus 5% for over 55's.

Away from the swimming pool area, very noisy all afternoon, those who wanted their afternoon siesta were not happy.

Don't take a room at the back of the hotel as these seem to be the ones plagued by mosquitoes.

Slightly more than a 20 minute walk from town. Car definitely needed, but well worth it.

We found caleta had everything we wanted.we hired a open top jeep and went and had a look at the rest of the island too.
Corralejo was lovely and would like to stay there.the sand dunes were amazing we went up there twice. We also went south and visited some of the little beaches on the way.
Beware of the bunkers on the beaches as they were hiding nudists and the kids weren't too impressed!
Will definitely visit again. We loved it

The Elba Sara is just outside Caleta. There is a very large shopping centre which is gorgeous, none of your usual tacky shops. There is also a tenpin bowling on the lower floor and if you can speak spanish there is also a cinema in the complex. Few bars and places to eat in the Atlantico centre McDonalds is across the road and Burger King inside the complex which was great as my kids love both of these fast food outlets.

nothing to do
thought we had landed on the moon due to just rock and sand
lots of un finnished building work,
lots of piles of dumped concrete and bricks laying about,
genral rubbish every where,
bad value for money,
shop keepers think they can rip tou off because your english,
in genral this island has not much to offer, go to a greek island any day

Caleta De Fuste itself is pleasant, we were there during the World Cup and lots of fuss was made, drumming bands and celebrations for the tourists.
Lots of lovely eateries.
The beach is the worst attempt at a man made beach I have ever experienced, the depth of sand is so thin, unbelievable.

We have been to Caleta de Fuste or Costa Caleta, as they call it now, quite a few times.
We love it. We find the resort very clean, the beach is lovely and safe for children. Although entertainment here is not very lively, we find it’s just right for us. The variety of restaurants is great.
We find the Monte Castillo centre, which is nearer than going into town, has a good variety for meals, the chicken ranch, Chaplin’s, and the Chinese (not the buffet) very well.
There are a few bars the bell, and the oak amongst them. For some people this would be too quiet, it depends on what you want, but if you like nice and relaxed, with great people and entertainment if you want it, you’ll love it here.
We cant wait to get back!

We like the resort of Caleta - de - fuste. It is ideal for families as it is only 10 min from the airport, has a nice beach and is very flat. It is an ideal base from which you are able to travel around.

Caleta de Fuste is a quiet resort, but is excellent for a relaxing holiday. There are some excursions/activities available, for example, visiting the water park in Corralejo, going on a bottomless boat, travelling over to Lanzorote, as well as jet-skiing, go old pedalos and windsurfing. In addition, there are two crazy golf courses, one near the Barcelo hotel (which has a hard and easy course) and the other is a little more hidden and is near to the marina.
A varied choice of restaurants, for example steak houses, Chinese, Mexican and Italian. I would highly recommend Fado’s (steak house), 2 main courses and 2 soft drinks approx 30euros. For a filling fried brekkie visit ‘The Sportsman’ 4.50euros, friendly staff included.
All in all, this resort is perfect for a relaxing week’s holiday.

The cleanest resort I have ever been to in the Canaries. It's a quiet resort but everyone was very friendly, shopkeepers and bar owners alike.

The resort itself was too quiet for us not much to do and not many shops. The beach is lovely. You do get alot of flight traffic overhead but u get used to that.
