This is a large hotel and I stayed in block two which seemed the best option (I had e-mailed the hotel previously to request) it is not noisy and close to amenities

Shop around for the best price. sometimes it is cheaper to use the internet like Trivago and other times booking with the hotel direct is cheaper, strange but the last booking I made for later in the year I am making a saving of £40 a night on an airport hotel booking. Some hotels like Barcelo give discounts if you register with them under their My Barcelo banner 5% plus 5% for over 55's.

Don't go !!!
Dont go, There is not one guest I stayed with who enjoyed themself. My poor 3 year old was begging to go home

Do not except a bungalow near the road that surrounds this complex i as was told by other holidaymakers who stayed here they were the ones that got robbed on a regular basis . the words quick getaway come to mind

Away from the swimming pool area, very noisy all afternoon, those who wanted their afternoon siesta were not happy.

don't choose the bungalows - poor outlook an isolated.
Local bar the Crazy Goat good fun and excellent food at Mustang Sally.

Don't take a room at the back of the hotel as these seem to be the ones plagued by mosquitoes.

Slightly more than a 20 minute walk from town. Car definitely needed, but well worth it.

This would be good in height of summer when really hot then open roof woudnt matter and definitely need transport of your own

Well where do i start:
Good points - Caletta de fuste - Costa Caleta was a very beautiful town with a lovely man made beach lovely snorkelling for all those fans and safe paddling for young kids and families, even the fish make an appearance and swim around your feet lovely. Also camel rides.
Feed the chipmunks at the end of the habour on the neighbouring rocky beach with fantastic waves, very kid friendly.
Plenty of shops and bars, sand sculpturing on the beach, volleyball and sunbathing, 9 euro's for 2sunbeds and an umbrella worth it as it was very hot.
Go to the atlantico to the eurospar very cheap for everything instead of the mini markets, also have other shops there with a burger king, and mcdonalds near by.
Bad Points -
As For the Mirador which was our on Complex absolutely rubbish, expensive food, bad run managment, with bad mannered staff, ordered breakfast from their 1 time and the only time, we waited 35 mins then we were told their was no milk for coffee, and after all that my daughter had waited an hour for scambled egg on toast after we had all finished and then we were told to cancel the order then.
Entertainment rubbish except for an excellent irish singer and elvis impressionist.
As for the pools, the only pool cleaned was the miradors pool. Their are four other pools we used the sol pool and it was never cleaned until a lady complained because their was leaves, plastic pint glasses and cockroaches in them, and the scum mark around the pool was terrible to rectify this they just topped the water up..?
all in all we got on with our honeymoon and made the best of it spent most of our time away from our hotel and went down into caletta, which for us made everything okay then. Beautiful place to be but towards caletta beach.
Will never return to these bungalows.

The resort was very nice not many shops and the walk back to the hotel was up a hill. As we were all ionclusive we did not need to visit the town much.

The resort is very quiet and relaxing it felt very safe to walk about in at night.Some of the beach is very rocky but the rest is beautiful and not crowded.There were enough shops and bars to keep us amused for two weeks, and was the perfect resort to get away from it all with a four year old.We hired a jeep for the day and toured from almost one end of the island to the other which was a terrific experience as we saw some beautiful beaches,waterspots galore and had a bit of fun off roading up the mountains.

Extremely clean, I don't remember seeing any litter anywhere. The shopping centre is lovely and there's a bouncy castle/bungee trampoline between there and the beach for kids. The beach looked clean and the man made coves made swimming very safe in those sections.

This resort is ideal if you want a relaxing and peaceful time. Lots of resturants to choice from but wasn't too keen on the 'hong gong' chinese resturant simple fact is the food was terrible. Check out the market on Saturday bargins galore! I managed to haggle a belt from 25euro to 10euro... word of advice if you say no and start to walk away they come running after you and then you name your price!

The resort of Caleta de Fuste is lovely. The weather was lovely, hot but nice breeze so you don't feel like you are cooking. There are lots of nice restuarants and all our meals were lovely. There was plenty to do and see - Oasis Park is a must! The only problem with the montecastillo apartments is they are 3km up quite a steep hill from the resort centre so by end of week, very good calf muscles! A lovely island though

Caleta de fuste is a nice quiet resort with plenty of shops bars and resturants.
Theres a mini golf and a harbour where you can feed the fish there is also a train from the habour to the hotel for 1 euro though itsonly ten min walk.the beach is very clean and not to busy.
There were plenty of sunbeds and plenty of space on the sand to play.
