This is a large hotel and I stayed in block two which seemed the best option (I had e-mailed the hotel previously to request) it is not noisy and close to amenities

Shop around for the best price. sometimes it is cheaper to use the internet like Trivago and other times booking with the hotel direct is cheaper, strange but the last booking I made for later in the year I am making a saving of £40 a night on an airport hotel booking. Some hotels like Barcelo give discounts if you register with them under their My Barcelo banner 5% plus 5% for over 55's.

Dont go, There is not one guest I stayed with who enjoyed themself. My poor 3 year old was begging to go home

Do not except a bungalow near the road that surrounds this complex i as was told by other holidaymakers who stayed here they were the ones that got robbed on a regular basis . the words quick getaway come to mind

Away from the swimming pool area, very noisy all afternoon, those who wanted their afternoon siesta were not happy.

don't choose the bungalows - poor outlook an isolated.
Local bar the Crazy Goat good fun and excellent food at Mustang Sally.

Don't take a room at the back of the hotel as these seem to be the ones plagued by mosquitoes.

Slightly more than a 20 minute walk from town. Car definitely needed, but well worth it.

This would be good in height of summer when really hot then open roof woudnt matter and definitely need transport of your own

Well set out, clean, plenty of choice of places to eat and drink, but don't imagine you're going somewhere Spanish.

It was clean friendly and felt very safe.
The shops and bars, and any type of eating place that we went to were bright clean and cheerful.
The eurospar shop was one of the best supermarkets I have ever been to on any self catering holiday.

The resort was very nice although small, we spent a lot of out time exploring the island.

Saturday market was okay but more or less the same stalls not much variety. Resort was very clean, did not visit the beach. Would not visit again as there was not very much to do in this area.

Resort is clean. Not much to do but there is a lot of development going on, so maybe in 5 years time it will be a bit more lively.
The beach is man made but is lovely and clean with plenty of sunloungers and umberellas.

Beach was excellent and clean. Bars and restaurants were good but you had to pay big to get a decent drink. Sportsbar was good and the guy is friendly.
There are one or two timeshare salespeople but they go away if you tell them to.
Waterpark is excellent.

Th resort itself was quite new and seem to still be developing even though we did not see any building going on
Resort entertainment is very much geared to families with young chidren but also catered for teenagers.
A visit to The Flower of Scotland bar is a must it was great everybody got involved with the quiz and the karaoke
Beach was OK better than the pool - I would go back to the resort but not that particular hotel

The resort was very clean didn't see any rubbish,the entertainment was very good although you didnt hear anything after 2am which was great when you have kids.
The only thing I would say about the beach is the further you went down the better it got near our hotel was the man made beach which you will need jelly shoes for the kids as it is a bit nasty to walk on. Had alot of chipmonks about on the rocks which we used to feed with nuts and grapes and as you went further down the beach you saw little lizzards,very beautiful place and would certainly go back.

Costa Caleta
Great resort, lots of play areas for the children, good selection of restraunts and cafes varying from cheap and cheerful to expensive.
Varied entertainment at night - but mostly focused around cafes and bars. Some of the childrens play areas have cafes nearby so the kids can play while you have a drink or 10 !

The resort was nice but some areas looked a bit like a bomb site. Very dissapointed in the beach kids didnt like it. Entertainment was very good catered for all age groups. We would visit the resort again at some point.
