This is a large hotel and I stayed in block two which seemed the best option (I had e-mailed the hotel previously to request) it is not noisy and close to amenities

Shop around for the best price. sometimes it is cheaper to use the internet like Trivago and other times booking with the hotel direct is cheaper, strange but the last booking I made for later in the year I am making a saving of £40 a night on an airport hotel booking. Some hotels like Barcelo give discounts if you register with them under their My Barcelo banner 5% plus 5% for over 55's.

Dont go, There is not one guest I stayed with who enjoyed themself. My poor 3 year old was begging to go home

Do not except a bungalow near the road that surrounds this complex i as was told by other holidaymakers who stayed here they were the ones that got robbed on a regular basis . the words quick getaway come to mind

Away from the swimming pool area, very noisy all afternoon, those who wanted their afternoon siesta were not happy.

don't choose the bungalows - poor outlook an isolated.
Local bar the Crazy Goat good fun and excellent food at Mustang Sally.

Don't take a room at the back of the hotel as these seem to be the ones plagued by mosquitoes.

Slightly more than a 20 minute walk from town. Car definitely needed, but well worth it.

This would be good in height of summer when really hot then open roof woudnt matter and definitely need transport of your own

Caleta De Fuste is a very quiet resort with only bars and restaurants for evening entertainment, no clubs that we spotted, which we quite liked.
It is very much a tourist resort, no old town, but it is reasonably smart with enough to wander round in a week to keep you amused. There?s a market on Saturdays but 80% of it is Africans selling the same watches, jewellery and sunglasses, very little in the way of local crafts.
We found we gravitated to the Marina most mornings, sat at the quayside restaurant with a drink and read and watched the world go by, very relaxing.
There is still a lot of building work going on but this is away from the main areas now and doesn?t really impact on the resort or the Caleta Amarilla Apts.
The beach is man made and gently slopes out into a horseshoe bay. It's very shallow and protected thus ideal for children. A good selection of water sports are also on offer.

This resort was okay and did provide a convenient base near to the airport. It is not however the prettiest or the most easy to stroll around. There is significant development work going on and it is evident from the current status that little hubs have developed. There is not many bars looking out to sea, however there is a nice walk along the front where you can feed the chipmunks and birds.
We hired a car and visited Corralejo and I wished we had stayed there, rather than Caleta, but I guess it depends what you like. In terms of car hire - check out the spanish operations, rather than the internationals, much much cheaper and very professional.

The resort was very clean, still some building work going on but not so as it affected anybody or anything.
If you are looking for nightlife, partying and tooty old souvenier shops this resort is not for you.

The resort was fairly quiet, although I did not see at at night.
A reasonable selection of Cafes and shops. I liked the Atlantico Centre which is situated in a developing part of the resort. The beach around this area was very nice, clear water, great for the kids, they could even see the fish swimming.

Great place, not over crowded. The place is bright , colourful and clean. Lots of fantastic plants,trees and flowers.
We where spoilt for choice where to eat, there's so many restaurants to choose from, we found a great Italian place just by the under pass, very friendly tasty food and free bottle of wine with meal.
Beaches were lovely, camels are on local beach if you fancy a ride.
Would go again.

This is a small and at the time we stayed wich was march, a very quiet resort.
The streets and beach wer kept spotless although the beach is man-made and the sand could now do with replenishing as the waters edge is a little rocky as the sand has been washed away.
There is a good selection of bars and resteraunts in the resort but i would worry that in peak periods in the year finding somewere to eat could become a little difficult.
A must if you like to eat chinese food is the Great Wall, and for lunch a small bar in the center called suzi`s wich is owned by an american couple, can be well worth a visit as the burgers are fantastic.
Be careful if you like a holiday with complete silence as this resort is directly in the airport flight path but that did not spoil our enjoyment.
We would visit caleta de fuste again.

The beach wasnt the best Ive been to, but it is man made.
If you get chance hire a car ( the roads are very good )and go to Jandia the beaches are great and really clean.
The zoo is great as well but dont go on the coach its a rip off, drive yourself its a lot cheaper ( 17 euros per adult)

Clean enough but lots of waste ground around. Too quiet for us. The beach was clean and safe for children.
