This is a large hotel and I stayed in block two which seemed the best option (I had e-mailed the hotel previously to request) it is not noisy and close to amenities

Shop around for the best price. sometimes it is cheaper to use the internet like Trivago and other times booking with the hotel direct is cheaper, strange but the last booking I made for later in the year I am making a saving of £40 a night on an airport hotel booking. Some hotels like Barcelo give discounts if you register with them under their My Barcelo banner 5% plus 5% for over 55's.

The problem with our trip was not the resort but the weather. It was dreadful all week and we had to entertain ourselves instead of being able to sit by pool or beach.

However, this resport is flat and you can walk for miles especially around the harbour. The Atlantico Centre was good for a bit of shopping, great shoe shops!

I felt the quality of the food in the resort was poor with very few decent places to eat. Perhaps in high season the quality would be better as they are busier. I would recommend Fado Rock for excellent steaks & meats, it was very busy every night.

We took the bus up to Correjlo for something to do while the weather was bad but was much the same, nice to see the dunes though.

Probably too quiet for us in Feb but in high season is more lively.

The Calete De Fuste resort always appeared to be clean even though we had a lot of rain!. The Thomas Cook reps were always friendly. We went on 2 excursions which were to Correlejo and Lanzarote. We went to the Friday night cabaret organised by TC which was very good.

We were not that impressed with the beach, this was mainly because of the poor weather.

Overall we enjoyed our holiday

Not much to say about the resort, not a lot there. Ok if you want to drink in English type bars, but that's not for us!

The resort is small and quiet. There is a sprinkling of eateries all offering identical menus. A small market operates on Saturday morning and there are one or two supermarkets (even one that is open 24hrs). There is not much in the way of entertainment in the evening but it must be said, we visited out of season. The beach is huge, sandy, and basically clean. There is a dive centre and wind surfing is available from the beach. If you are staying on a self catering basis, there is an hourly courtesy bus to the local 'hypermarket' on the other side of the bay where you will also find Burger King and MacDonalds!

Would I vist this resort again? Probably not. Young families may find it to their taste but more mature people will find it far too tame (boring).

Not a lot going on but plenty for a relaxing holiday, lots of choice for bars and restaurants.

All taste catered for, nice places on beach front ot eat, didnt think beach to good, but we didnt want to swim, nice for walking ,in a horse shoe. Lots going on one side as in building, got new big shopping centre, went and bought our picnic there nice bit of beach,mc donalds and burger king if your that sad!

Then rough beach on way back to nice beach and harbour, with fish to feed and turtles and seals, round corner are the big rocks and chip munks, so friendly they know you go there to feed them, came right up to our yellow carrier bag. What you get in the super markets, very knowing, seemed to like the lettuce and apple,

All in all a very nice place we was quite happy there for 2 weeks and didnt want to come home. Loved it lots.

The marina and the beach with shops was very clean and nice and hot for January 05.
Not a lot going on the beach but I think this is a good thing because some people like to relax.

If you go right down too the end of the marina you will find a place were you can feed some rescued turtles and feed fish too, further down you can go on a trip with the sea lions, they are so adorable four we saw and our son Harry of two years thought that they were big dogs...

They also have Jet Ski hire further out at sea and windsurfing for all the waterbabys out there.

Yes we would visit this resort again, lots to do if you look for it, and quite island if you just want to relax all day on the beach, fun for the children too.

Our son was not well on holiday so we had to take him to the local chemist in the town and they gave us the antibiotic we already took with us (prior to the holiday he was poorly bad cold) we needed more because he still haddn't shaken it off, they were so helpful and gave us the same medication we had received from our doctor great.

He recovered after a few days.

Costa Caleta is a nice place to visit. The only problem is you could see the town in 2 nights. The beach is man made and if you have kids is not very good with sand. A lot of stones on beach and in water.

The entertainment is low key which makes it good for families. The resort its self is clean, there is building work being carried out, but not too bad. There is a lot of work going on along the beach and in a few years the beach should be a lot better.

The resort is pretty compact with everything within easy reach be it bars, shops etc. It was spotlessly clean and everyone we met were pleasant.

We were approached by someone giving us a scratch card and they get you visit an office where we were talked to for 3 1/2 hours about buying cheaper holidays (we were told it would only take upt o an hour), they only target the British so be warned.

There is a lot of building work going on at the moment but once this is finished, no more is allowed for quite a few years so the area will not be spoiled.

There is a beautiful walk along the sea path and we were told there were chipmonks living in the rocks but we didn't see any.

It was very quiet when we went and some of the places were a bit lonely but we had no problems and didn't feel uneasy, unlike back home.

The beach is man-made but perfecty OK. You can hire sun loungers, jet skis, wind surfing gear, and a lot more. There are also many organised trips to go on if you want a but more excitement and see a lot more of the island with trips to the surrounding islands well worth doing.

We look forward to going back there on a regular basis.

It is a lovely place and we would recommend it to everyone.

This is the second time we have visited this resort and the beach now looks like Maldon mud flats!! New 5 star hotels have been built along the coast and artificial beaches created. Sea defences for these have caused water levels on the main beach and harbour to drop. A really big shame as the beach was its selling point!

There is a lot of new building going on but it was never intrusive.

On the plus side it was clean & quiet. We stayed All Inclusive so we never ate out but it looked cheap.
