This is a large hotel and I stayed in block two which seemed the best option (I had e-mailed the hotel previously to request) it is not noisy and close to amenities

Shop around for the best price. sometimes it is cheaper to use the internet like Trivago and other times booking with the hotel direct is cheaper, strange but the last booking I made for later in the year I am making a saving of £40 a night on an airport hotel booking. Some hotels like Barcelo give discounts if you register with them under their My Barcelo banner 5% plus 5% for over 55's.

Away from the swimming pool area, very noisy all afternoon, those who wanted their afternoon siesta were not happy.

Don't take a room at the back of the hotel as these seem to be the ones plagued by mosquitoes.

Slightly more than a 20 minute walk from town. Car definitely needed, but well worth it.

The resort of Caleta de Fuste is lovely.
The people there are so friendly and helpful. The beach although man-made, is very safe and wonderful for families with children.
The whole place was so clean, which is good as it is quite windy so the last thing you want is rubbish flying about. There are plenty of bars most with some sort of entertainment, and when it comes to eating well you can eat your way around the world, with the choice of restaurants there, Greek, Chinese, Indian, Italian, American you name it they are there. There is even a new Macdonalds, which is across the road from the only cinema!
When we were there they were building a hotel across from the golf course. Down at the harbour area you can buy fishfood to feed the fish in the sea, great for the kiddies! Unfortunately we didint have time to go on the glassbottomed boat, we ran out of holiday time! but we did manage to get on a cattameran which was amazing!
The other thing we noticed about Caleta de Fuste was most of it is flat which is very good for wheelchair users and there are not loads of cars all over. We were told by a local that if there was more than two cars in a line that was their 'traffic jam' wow! loved it we are going back real soon.

I find it difficult to say that everyone will love Caleta de Fuste because they won't. I think it's great but if you are looking for loads of entertainment and all night partying then it's not for you. Caleta has grown a lot in 5 years but it's not changed all that much. Love the new Centro Atlantico and one member of our party was well pleased with the golf club! The beach is not the greatest on Fuerte but if you have small children then it's the place to be. Best asset? The people!

We stayed at Calleta De Fuste. A quickly growing purposely built resort with a horse shoe bay of golden sand and warm blue sea...
The shops and 'SuperMacardo's' do know how to charge and you are better going all inclusive or shopping at the new 'Antlantico' shopping Centre and the Hypermarket there if you go all inclusive.
The climate is fantastic and I would highly recomend this resort to young and old alike.....smashing!

The resort is very quite and not alot to do. Shops sell all the same things so not much choice.
We didn't really venture far as the children didn't like walking

Very short pleasant walk to centre where there were good restaurants.
Beach ok, although no shops on there. Not too many lucky lucky men. Nice enough place

Elba Sara is situated just outside Caleta de Fuste. About 20 mins walk from the resort centre. The harbour and beach are perfect for small children as the waters are clear and very shallow and the sea is netted.
The resort is spotless and continually cleaned. There are lots of appartments and a few hotels in the centre. A few restaurants, British bars and a handful of shops- I struggled to buy gifts for the family. I would describe the resort as somewhere to relax and unwind.
Not a great deal to do unless water sports are your thing!

The resort of Caleta de Fuste is an excellent place for a family holiday with many many good restaurants and bars.
It is not rowdy or noisy at all at night.
There is a very good safe and clean beach. You can go and see sealions and turtles at the harbour and chipmunks all along the sea front. You can also go on boat trips, scuba diving, sea fishing, or hire a car to see some other parts of the island from many hire centres.

We stayed in the Caleta Gardens appartments, we found the resort very clean, although we were very disapointed in the beach we were always led to believe that they were all long stretches of golden sand. The resort entertainment as published in the hotel report was fantastic DJ Al is a true superstar who made our holiday for all of us, he certainly know's how to entertain a crowd of all ages. We had a super time and are looking to visit again in the near future.

Hotel location was excellent as right in the middle of all the bars and restaurants. All of which were really good for food although as a family of 7, did end up to be quite expensive at times and I would recommend to go into the town earlier. As we would go in about 8ish but would have to wait for tables, as the resort was that busy!
Staff at the restaurants were really helpful and it was just overall a really nice place to go as the weather was excellent and overall reception we recieved from the resort and the hotel.
