This is a large hotel and I stayed in block two which seemed the best option (I had e-mailed the hotel previously to request) it is not noisy and close to amenities

Shop around for the best price. sometimes it is cheaper to use the internet like Trivago and other times booking with the hotel direct is cheaper, strange but the last booking I made for later in the year I am making a saving of £40 a night on an airport hotel booking. Some hotels like Barcelo give discounts if you register with them under their My Barcelo banner 5% plus 5% for over 55's.

Away from the swimming pool area, very noisy all afternoon, those who wanted their afternoon siesta were not happy.

Don't take a room at the back of the hotel as these seem to be the ones plagued by mosquitoes.

Slightly more than a 20 minute walk from town. Car definitely needed, but well worth it.

Tip for the time shares that do keep bothering you, just say you only have a debit card and not a credit card. They lose all interest. The resort and island was very clean, paths a little unlevel though.

Caleta has a nice beach and open airy feel to it.Plenty of bars and some good eating places especially La Molina.

The resort was just as nice as the hotel, it was very very clean there was no bad things I could say. I have once stayed at the north of the island were I found it to be dirty.
Every time we went for a walk around the shops which are two mins away from minutes away from the hotel were saw people who were cleaning the streets to keep it tidy which was nice to see. The resort is perect no to busy but enough to do. If you go here you wont go wrong.

Beach was about a 20 minute walk from our complex, a land train took the strain out of walking back up the hill for only 1 euro per person. Nice sandy horse shoe shaped man made beach, plenty of sunbeds but they do charge about a fiver for two per day.The beach never seemed to be cleaned very well compared to other resorts we have visited, i.e litter was a problem. All the usual charter trips from the harbour plus a diving school and wind surf school was available. Overall O.K but seen better. The biggest plus point for us was, there were NO timeshare touts at all, which winds me up straight away.

Caleta de fuste is great for families with young children, but teenage kids, young couples may find it boring. No nightclubs, cabaret style entertainment and karaoke only available in bars..very expensive drinks, average 3.50 euros per vodka and orange, cocktails average 5 euros. So many places to eat, all next to each other so they don't really fill up..i.e you may be the only ones eating in the place. Resort geared for tourists..all commercial centres so be careful when shopping..may think you are getting a bargain, but prices vary..i.e charge what they want.."You look..tell me how much you want to pay"...spoils the shopping experience when under pressure..supermarket prices way above average..go to eurospar by atlantico shopping centre..much cheaper..didn't find out until last couple of days. Most bars serve soft drinks in tall but slim glasses, average 1.75 euros..so kids go through quite a few..eating out quite cheap...but when eating hot food al fresco in the day..lots of flies. I liked the beach, clean, sea gorgeous. Area itself quite pretty, but surroundings very barren and desert like. All in all good just for families..don't go if you want variety and good nightlife, or if looking for a real spanish experience

Nice shops, bars and seemed very safe to walk around in the nightime
Seems a nice family orientated resort.
You must try the Scuba diving

This is a typical resort with plenty of bars and restaurants. There are enough supermarkets and shops and there is now a new complex containg a cinema (all the current blockbusters but in spanish), a bowling alley, a shopping mall and a Eurospar supermarket. There is even a free courtesy bus service from the hotel to the complex. We went to the Saturday market but all it sells is fake sportswear, dodgy copy designer watches and jewellary and the usual tacky souveniers. It was also extremely crowded so I would recommend to give it a miss. The beach is fantastic with safe swimming for children and plenty of room to play ball games or just chill out in the sun.The resort is quite compact and you very soon know your way around.

This year we hired a car for 3 days (again) and visited the American Star wreck at Playa de Garcey, El Cotillo - a must if you like the big waves - and held our very own Olympics on the beach and finally as it's probaly our last time on the island (having spent the last 7yrs there) we went to Corralejo and the sand dunes. Previous years we've also visited Morro de Jable, Costa Carma, Gran Tarajal, Pozo Negro, Betancuria to name but a few. I'll miss Fuerteventura next year but I know that I'll be back and spend another holiday lying on it's beautiful beaches with not a care in the world & relaxing until it's time to go back to the ratrace again.

This really is where I was a little disappointed. The resort was said to have "lots of restaurants", unless Im missing something we could find probably 15-20 places to eat, but half of these are the equivalent of a cafe, serving egg and chips, in fact anything and chips. There are some nice places, Fado Rock (try the roast leg of lamb), and the Indian next door sticks out, but a bit limited for me. This maybe more down to the tourism element in that they cater for what most British tourist like.
Just around the corner from the hotel is an area where there are chipmunks and these are cute and not afraid of humans, so will eat straight from your hands.
I suggest if you want something to eat at the airport dont bother, get something before you leave as there are no "known" places to eat, we had a "fast burger" that took 40 mins to get (there was 10 people in the queue), it was awful and gave me the squits.
