This is a large hotel and I stayed in block two which seemed the best option (I had e-mailed the hotel previously to request) it is not noisy and close to amenities

Shop around for the best price. sometimes it is cheaper to use the internet like Trivago and other times booking with the hotel direct is cheaper, strange but the last booking I made for later in the year I am making a saving of £40 a night on an airport hotel booking. Some hotels like Barcelo give discounts if you register with them under their My Barcelo banner 5% plus 5% for over 55's.

Away from the swimming pool area, very noisy all afternoon, those who wanted their afternoon siesta were not happy.

Don't take a room at the back of the hotel as these seem to be the ones plagued by mosquitoes.

Slightly more than a 20 minute walk from town. Car definitely needed, but well worth it.

We love the resort its clean with a safe area of sea and a lovely flat sandy beach,a small harbour with boat trip everyday,a small shopping area and market every week.
Just down the road you will find the new golf corse and bowling alley. This month the new water park opened in Coralejo which is only 40 minutes bus ride away. And while your in Coralejo youve got to visit the sand dunes they are amazing.

The resort itself has some wonderful restaurants(try the steak house great food, great atmosphere but very busy) also lots of bars within walking distance of the hotel.
The beach is approximately a 5 minute walk from the hotel.
Entertainment in the resort is very good, try Legends where
you will find Elvis alive and well!!

As this was our first all inclusive holiday we did not spend much time at the resort. But we did visit the beach a few times. The beach was very clean and experienced a camel ride.We also went on a glass bottom boat which was dissapointing. We did visit the shopping precinct as well which we got some cheap gifts to take home. There was also a market on a Sunday which was good but had to haggle or would be paying well over the odds.

Caleta DeFuste is Quite Small but very tidy and everything within ten minutes walk.
Close to local bars and some excellent restaurants.
Fado Rock steak house has superb food and their fillet steak is outstanding.
If you like really good greek food try the Syrtaki Taverna next door, good prices and graet atmostphere.
Both of these restaurants are in the shopping center on Caleta Amigos near the Caleta Garden Apts. Excellent food and very reasonably priced.
November seemed to be a quiet period but there was plenty of entertainment to choose from.
Great take away Deli/Bakery left out of reception turn right at the junction next to the Tapas bar.
We had a great week and met some nice people, wouldn't visit again as we prefer to try new locations.
OK for a week but no longer, I am only 5'8" medium build and Thomas Cook Flights have the least amount of seating space I have ever experienced and I have travelled the world for the past 40 years. They really pack you in.

This resort used to be a quiet clean place. It is now being massively overdeveloped. There is building work going on all over and around the resort. New beaches are being built along the coast to serve the new hotels. Caleta de Fuste has completely lost its character of a few years ago. It is becoming a grubby downmarket resort. I feel that Fuerteventura will not be able to bring in enough tourists to sustain all the development taking place. I hope to be proved wrong, but fear I will soon be looking for somewhere else to holiday, after spending many happy holidays here for the past 8 years - very disappointing!

The best way to sum up Caleta is that it's constantly being developed (lots of building work, but not a problem) while in need of repair in places (seems a lot is run down or unfinished), good selection of bars, gift shops and one or two amusment arcades. Half decent mini golf, but needs refurbishing especially the red course. Beach nice and sandy but looks a bit scruffy by the shore. Clean and tidy througout the resort.

The resort was clean. There were a few timeshare salespeople about but a simple no thank you seemed to work. The authorities have taken steps to reduce the 'watch and bracelet salespeople'.
There is a handy 'noddy train' to the beach costing 1Euro.
Plenty of restaurants.
Very good Shopping centre not far away incorporating bowling alley and cinema.
Car hire very good to see the rest of the island.
