This is a large hotel and I stayed in block two which seemed the best option (I had e-mailed the hotel previously to request) it is not noisy and close to amenities

Shop around for the best price. sometimes it is cheaper to use the internet like Trivago and other times booking with the hotel direct is cheaper, strange but the last booking I made for later in the year I am making a saving of £40 a night on an airport hotel booking. Some hotels like Barcelo give discounts if you register with them under their My Barcelo banner 5% plus 5% for over 55's.

Away from the swimming pool area, very noisy all afternoon, those who wanted their afternoon siesta were not happy.

Don't take a room at the back of the hotel as these seem to be the ones plagued by mosquitoes.

Slightly more than a 20 minute walk from town. Car definitely needed, but well worth it.

A very pleasant resort, which has plenty of bars and restaurants. We would recommend "The Great Wall" chinese restaurant where the food was excellent and hot. The staff were very nice and the prices reasonable. The resort would suite both families and couples. There are a selection of water sports and boat trips. We went on the glass bottom boat trip which was very interesting and enjoyable. We would highly recommend Calleta de Fuste.

Nice if you want a peaceful time walking along the beach. Naff gift shops with fridge magnets, keyrings, over-priced beach towels.
Not the most boring resorts I've visited though.

The resort is litter free and quite nice for a relaxing hassle free holiday entertainment is low key. The beach is a horseshoe shape and it is wide (plenty of room)swimming is quite safe.

Caletta is a small but beautiful and clean resort. Nice little harbour with a performing seal and fish you can feed by hand next to the harbourside.
The beach is clean and big enough for all.
Many bars and diners, Chinese, Italian, Indian, the lot. The prices are just about the same for all bars 3euros a pint for Tropical or Estrada, bit more for Carling etc in town.
One thing for all to note if you haven't been here recently, food prices at supermarkets are scandalous. For example, 3.75 euro for a tin of beans, 2.50 euros for a tin of soup, loaf of local bread was 2.90 euros. For Warburtons a cool 3.95 euros, cheapest we found at the Eurospar which is in the Atlantico complex. This is also the cheapest place to get your duty free.
Will go back again, but must save harder next time.

Caleta de Fuste is fairly low key and quiet - very good for families with younger children. It had a nice selection of bars and restaurants and the Atlantico Centre has a larger and much cheaper supermarket than anywhere else in the area. Also a selection of shops for browsing and any presents to take back home.
The beach was great and at E7.50 a day for two sunbeds and a parasol it didn't seem that unreasonable.
There is some building work going on but not that it was intrusive. Caleta is near the airport but we quite enjoyed this - a really quick transfer time and our son was thrilled at seeing the aeroplanes.
We would pay this resort a visit again.

The resort was clean and tidy and easy to find your way around. Entertainment (other than karaoke) was good especially at Bailey's Bar and Legends. We enjoyed lunchtime meals at The Trafalgar and Happy Burger (don't let the name put you off!!) The best Chinese restaurant was China Palace (sizzling dishes a speciality) and the service here was impeccable. I wouldn't recommend the Chinese Buffets on offer elsewhere. The beach is clean, safe and sheltered with lots of games and activities going on.

The beach was very clean with many sand sculptures. Caleta de Fuste has plenty to do, we went scuba diving which I would recommend to everyone and played mini golf.
There is also a bowling alley and golf course nearby. I would recommend a Spanish restaurant which is on the sea front with I think is part of the Elbas Hotel. We did wait a while for our food but it was well worth it, about £70 per couple for 3 course including drinks.
This is not a cheap resort you will pay prices similar to a city at home, about £3 - £3.50 for a smirnoff ice - quite shocking really.

There was an excellent Italian called Via Venetto which is at the other side of the underpass. As a bonus you get a free bottle of house wine per couple. The first time it was foul but we seemed to get a better bottle the next time.
Restaurant La Molina just a bit further down was also very good, and where locals also ate. It served traditional Canarian food including fresh soups, fish, chicken steaks etc.
The Pizzeria in the barcelo complex (behind the Paella restaurant) seemed to serve the best pizzas and at a reasonable price.
The Paella restaurant (ont the seafront) was also very nice, again serving freshly cooked traditional Canarian food.
The best Chinese is opposite the Blues Cafe and was recommended by residents of caleta de Fuste. This is also reasonably priced.Gambrinus (opposite the grand/ main Barcelo Hotel entrance) is also worth the visit.
Neither Mexican impressed us.
The Greek is supposed to be good.

We stayed in the resort of Caleta De Fuste which was lovely, wasnt very impressed with the main beach but we did find some lovely man made coves about 10-15 mins walk further along by the shopping precinct.
Recommend going along to the harbour to the floating shop and feed the fish, you can buy fish palets for a euro from inside the shop ot take some bread to feed them.
For eating out would highly recommend the Slow Boat Chinese and the Steak House - gorgeous and not badly priced. For drinks with a friendly atmosphere would recommend the Sportman cafe bar.
