The food was terrible, and the complex bar was a bit steep.
every time we went to bar, we got charged different prices everytime.
The entertainment was terrible.
The fridge was broke, and oven and grill did not work.
Complained, but nobody came.
Would never go back there!

The way the apartments are built its like a village but it doesn't work as most apartments can see straight into the room infront of them. Anyway I've went on enough all I'll say is if you can get another apartment for a few pound more I would book that instead.

We arrived at 11pm and after a long journey, we were faced with 4 flights of stairs and a big hill to get our suitcases down (the only lift be right at the bottom and that was out of order!). At the end of our holiday, we then had to get them back up in the heat! When we got into our room, we ere met by several cockroaches and holes in the walls where they came through all week! The beds were damp and the pillows flat. We did have a regular cleaner, but they were in our room 2 hours early on our day of departure ushering us out.
The hotel had only one place to eat of an evening and that only supplied a poor buffet which cost 12 euros each without drinks.
The pool was nice however we were there in March and struggled to get a sun bed every day so can imagine it is hideous in the summer.
The walk to the beach and resort is down a very steep hill and therefore the walk back is not for the faint hearted particularly in the heat. A taxi back tended to cost around 6 euros as the taxi drivers always take the long way round.
If on a young and lively holiday, as we were, you will find yourself paying this twice a day as the walk to Veronicas and Starcos is at least 20 minutes.
We will definitely not be staying there again!!

If you have any standards whatsoever avoid like the plague. You may catch it!!!!!!!!

They look to be updating the place as were painting etc. Yes the walk up to reception was steep (we were in row R right by the pool so had to walk bottom to top) but this complex is not the only one on the mountain side. The view is excellent.
There were a few cockroaches but it is a hot country and about 5 cats but if you leave them they leave you. If you can't face "cardiac hill" there is a hotel bus for a euro return (timetable from reception) or get a taxi up for 4 euros (6 on a Sunday).
Don't book excursions with your tour operator, it's much cheaper through Direct Excursions (should get a leaflet when you get to Tenerife airport or their office is in Fanabe Shopping centre opposite Hotel Jacaranda).
The food was fine, not cold, and different soup, main courses and puddings every night.

Well what can I say, the rooms are disgusting! We had 13 cockroaches in our room, in the beds, on the sofas, in the fridge ect..... there was mold all up the walls!! The beds were metal legs with a hardboard and just a matress, and I sure there were things in the matresses as we were itching all the time!!! The day we checked out of our room I realised that I had left my coat in the wardrobe so I went to reception and explaned what I had done and they did nothing, they would not even give me the key to go back to the room and have a look, they said it had gone. I know that my coat was in that room and they would not give it me back...!!!
You need a oxygen mask when you stay there!! That's all I can say.... there were at least 200 steps to get to the pool, there were lifts to take you from the pool to the steep hill in the hotel.. but as they kept breaking down we did not use them!!!
The hill... well even the buses had a job to get up them!! I'm young and I couldn't even cope so I couldn't even imagine how the older people could cope!!!
If you are staying at this hotel be warned to have a holiday from hell thats all I can say!!!!

There is nothing to worry about did not see one cockroach and I was looking form them.
Hotel is clean. Did not have any food as we do not like stopping in hotel but the food looked ok and was quite cheap. The dining room had an amazing view of the surrounding area. Yes the hill is a little steep but you get used to it we climbed this 14 times in 7 days did not think about getting a taxi. Felt a lot fitter after 1 week.
If you have booked do not worry it is fine. we have travelled all over the world and are very experienced travellers and we have seen a lot worse.
For the amount it costed I was very satisfied.

Got a cheap last minute deal and after reading some reviews we geared up for the worst. Our apartment was in Q row at the bottom of the 'ramp' and 2 seconds from the pool so was great although it did mean we didnt get a view - who cares, were hardly in the room. Our apartment was pretty clean and definitely no mould. Cooking facilities are extremely limiting - oven has no shelves and very little in the way of utensils but am sure if we had asked we could have got some essential basics (like a bread knife lol). We didnt plan on cooking so didnt bother us. We had fresh bread rolls every day from the on-site supermarket - cheap and really tasty. Clean towels and sheets (told the cleaner not to bother changing sheets since it was too hot to ever use them). We had lovely firm beds as well. Cleaner was in almost every day and really pleasant and cheery.
Pool is fantastic and masses of loungers. You pay for the mats and shades but nearly every place charges for them. Staff in the main bar were fantastic - Pitu is the best ever barman, always making us laugh with his antics. Drinks are not overpriced and meals were pretty good value and reasonable quality. Sol (entertainments) works her socks off, is sooo friendly and never hassles - can't remember once when she wasn't smiling. Entertainment varies from parrot and snake shows to Blues Brother act - nightly quiz is a laugh as well. Daytime entertainment is all free so if you fancy rifle shooting, archery, scuba diving costs nothing to have a go. Theres also a book swop which is 1 euro per book or two if you dont have one to swop. Yes the ramp is hard work, but if you take your time it doesnt kill you - same with the hill up to the complex and taxi's are only 3 or 4 euro's and there were always some outside reception. If you go into town before 1pm - there is a shortcut from the pool (near the castle) but they shut gates after deliveries so watch the time.
If you dont want to stray too far then halfway down the hill, swing left and there are a handful of bars/eating places and also a SPAR shop if you want to buy british. The Phoenix is not to be missed for fantastic food and 5 star service at 3 star prices. The Malibu is a little further on and breakfast is only 1.80 euro's and is pretty good.
There are cats around but they never really bothered us much and in the whole 2 weeks only saw 5 different cats in the whole complex. There are a few cockroaches if you want to search for them - but then, who doesnt have spiders and flies in the uk, they are the 'insect' of the area. I'd say to anyone to book it and if you do get a room that really is bad (guess there must be a few somewhere) - ask for another room or speak to your rep. Unless it is peak time and they have no other rooms, they will move you. If the most basic equipment is missing - ask for it.
The fabric seating was a bit grubby looking but plenty folk were sitting on them in white clothes and didn
