This was a girls weekend away and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

The rooms were large and clean.

The staff were pleasant and the young entertainers were brilliant.

This hotel is great for couples, families and also groups of friends as it has something for everyone.

The only problem was the hypnotist who was racist and homophobic, and did not keep it clean (as promised with all the young children around). He used racist comments about the types of people he assumed were from Moss Side, he used homophobic language and had the hypnotised people doing things to each other and the furniture in front of young children. We aren't prudes (far from it) but felt this was not appropriate family entertainment.

We would definitely go again if we knew the Hypnotist wasn't going to be there!

The Flamingo Oasis has a really impressive reception area giving it a warm welcome feeling. The facilities (bar, swimming pools etc) all seemed really clean and the all inclusive food is the best I've tasted.

The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The entertainment was excellent, games throughout the day for both adults and children - these included mini-golf, darts, pool, pistol/rifle shooting, football and bingo.

During the evening there's a mini-disco, bingo, various entertainment (whilst there the entertainment staff did a great cowboy evening and an even better music from Broadway).

Will definitely visit again.

February 5th to 12th 2005, another fantastic week at this, what can only be described as one of the best hotels in Benidorm. Being it is all inclusive, you could not ask for anything better. We have been there many times now, each time we have had no cause to complain.

All areas of the hotel are fantastic.

The entertainments team has changed since our last visit, they work very hard indeed to please all clients and put on some very good programmes. The hotel also has a number of visiting acts which were excellent, these are billed as ADULT ENTERTAINMENT ACTS and start at 2300 but regret that due to a number of parents who allow there children to remain in the club after 2300, the adult entertainment is somewhat tamed.

If you enjoy a hotel that surpasses all expectations in quality of food with fantastic choices, first class service, huge range of drinks that are all inclusive, excellent large rooms which are serviced daily and kept spotless and a hotel that is kept to such a high standard. You marvel at how the cleaners manage it then THIS is the hotel for you, book now for your fantastic holiday of a lifetime, you wont regret it.

I must also add that the reception staff compliment the rest of the hotel by the excellent first class service they give.

Our room was a family room with a double bed, 1 single and a sofa bed. The room was comfortable with plenty of storage space for a family and was kept spotless by the daily maid service with fresh towels every day and the beds remade and a linen change once through the week. We had a lovely large balcony which was big enough to sit on and the children to play on, it also had a fantastic view over the mountains as we were on the 17th floor. The hotel was immaculately kept and the staff were courteous, polite and they were always pleased to help if they could.

Due to the time of year the outside pools and bars were not open but you could gain access to the outside area where there was a small play area for children. People were sitting on the sun loungers if they could find a sheltered spot out of the wind. Unfortunately due to the number of high rise buildings/hotels etc I doubt if the pool area would get much sun as they seem to block alot of it out.

We were able to use the indoor pool which is situated with gym. This is not very big and I should imagine it could become abit awkward if it was particularly busy. The other problem is that because it is geared for adults using the gym is dosen't have a shallow end. Our 6 year old is fairly tall but could only stand up at the bottom of the steps.

Whilst there was a big choice of food in the restaurant with lots of hot food, selections of salads and usually an english roast with the ususal vegetables etc the food was not child friendly. My children lived on fish and sausages most of the week. When the restaurant was not open you could go in there for snacks which left alot to be desired. I took our son in after watching a show at around 10pm for a snack and found that it was the same sort of food that was served for the evening meal and not the sort of thing that a child would want to eat at that time of night as a snack. Perhaps tbey should consider lighter/child friendly snacks such as hot dogs, pizza, chips, burgers, sandwiches etc... The choice of drinks etc was good in the restaurant the only thing lacking was a hot drink. The machines were not on for dinner and evening meals and you had to go upto the bar for a hot drink if you wanted one.

The evening entertainment was OK. There was a mini disco for 45 mins in the evenings and then a game of bingo. The entertainment at 10pm was quite good with everyone working really hard to entertain you. There was a flamenco show and one night they did Starlight Express which was very good. I thought that perhaps the childrens disco could be a little bit longer and perhaps vary in the songs and dances it does as it was the same every night.

I think that the hotel would benefit from a better play area/room for younger children. We have a 2 year old daugther and there was nothing for her to do. She wasn't able to go in the mini club and there was no creche. Although our 6 year old didn't go in the mini club judging by the certificates they gave out for the winners of the games in the club, they were for young children muscial chairs/bumps etc. They could also do with more evening entertainment for kids as well apart from the mini disco. Childrens entertainment was over by 9.15pm, the shows at ten were not always interesting for kids and if you let them run riot in the bar when people without children were having drinks it didn't always go down well. Adults are provided with an adults only lounge and bar and a roof top adults only pool so I think there should be some designated family only areas too!

Although the hotel was kept to a high standard, and in a very good location I don't think I would go back again with children but for people without children who want a quiet, relaxing holiday it would be ideal.

Stayed at the Oasis for a week in Feb. Lovely hotel, top nosh (can be a bit repetative but the "themed nights" help).

Drinks unlimited....you WILL overindulge. Wine can be got from the bar by the bottle(white, rose or red) if required. Rooftop terrace and bar is cool.

There is a small pool there(bear in mind this is on the ROOF! 25 floors up! Staff are nice and friendly. Entertainment is a bit like Butlins. There was a visiting comedian who was RACIST. He just so happened to come from Wigan. How people can laugh at that old rubbish is beyond me. Thought people had got educated.

The reason I would not visit again is due to the SMOKING. It is a smokers paradise. If you are a non-smoker or have children you will not find anywhere in this hotel(bar the restaurant) to escape the constant fog. This hotel definately needs seperate areas. Some parents did not care that their offspring were constantly exposed to it.

Stopped for a week from 29/1/05 for my birthday.

Brilliant hotel with just a few bad points.

Firstly just before you get to lifts the stench from the drains is very apparent and also when emptying the bath water stench comes back up plug holes in sink.

Next while the staff in the restaurant were brilliant especially with our 21mth old boy the staff behind the bars upstairs were somewhat ignorant & rude at times.

Last but not least the hotel is mainly full of older people whom I must say were also brilliant with us & our son but the slight few were ignorant thinking they owned the place & should come before anyone else.

But I must say the plusses well outweighed the minuses & would definitely return & are thinking of booking for next year already , stopped in a few hotels in Benidorm & found this far better than the rest.

Had some reservations about staying in an all inclusive hotel in Benidorm over New year. I neednt have worried. Only one family seemed to want to 'overindulge' and the management were on their case to make sure they didnt upset other guests.

It was mainly families or older couples whilst we stayed, and the atmosphere was excellent. Staff are very friendly apart from two or three bar staff who were downright rude and surly.

Never queued longer than a few minutes for drinks, and my husband thought he'd died and gone to heaven when he discovered that what he'd read on earlier reviews was true....Strongbow cider really was available as part of the all inclusive!

I also agree that the spirits dont appear to be very strong, but that suits me fine as I never once got up with a hangover! Food can only be described as excellent, probably the best we've ever had, carvery every day, prawns in their shells as part of the salad choice most days...only negative being the bacon..just not very nice, streaky and greasy. But I didn't struggle to find something else to eat.

The rooms are great, we booked a double, which was LARGE, and we also had a pool view which meant we got the sun on the balcony in the afternoon.

Another fantastic 14 nights holiday at this top Benidorm hotel. We have stayed here quite a number of times now and it goes from strength to strength, it can only be highly recommended.

The reception area is large with plenty of light, a bar/coffee area is off to the left.

Rooms are out of this world, large, comfortable and kept to a very high standard.

Restaurant is again a pleasure to experience with a huge variety of choice.

The bars serve excellent drinks and there is a very minimal waiting time to be served.

All the staff have a very pleasant disposition and happy to help you.

The adults only rooftop sun bathing area/swimming pool and bar is a must.

Book this hotel and you will have a fantastic holiday.

Just come back from The Flamingo Oasis in Benidorm. From the moment we left East Midlands Airport we have had the most amazing holiday.

The hotel is out of this world. Big spacious areas to relax, quiet areas, areas of total bedlam. You choose.

Rooms are spotless and cleaned daily. The food is amazing plenty of choice for all (at least three theme nights per week)piping hot and very well presented.

The hotel itself is about a 10 minute stroll to the sea front but be warned, is slightly uphill on the way back. Also a word of warning to those travelling at this time of year if you have kids don't expect wall to wall sun. The surrounding skyline tends to block out what little sun you get. Of course there is the roof top bar and pool if you dont have kids. Very warm up there most days. The poolside bar is also not open at this time of year so a bit of a hike up about 20 steps to the bar is a bit of a chore.

The hotel staff all speak very good English are very well presented and groomed. They are a credit to the company.

And the entertainment Well what can I say. If I was asked to pay to see it then I would have done so willingly. Brilliant.

A first impression as you enter the hotel is a vast reception and bar area, a little unusual and most hotels have separate bar facilities from the lobby. We thought that because of its size more attention could be paid to interior decoration i.e. more greenery and planters needed to fill up and eliminate the empty bare look. The same applies to the restaurant (cafe type feel to it) however these are the only minus points we found.

The room was a lovely light spacious clean accommodation'

The food was delicious English and different theme night’s meals to try.

Staff very friendly, location on the edge of the town not in the thick of a concrete jungle. Buses to centre every few minutes, short walk from centre to old town.

Hotel pool area very family orientated but if you want peace and quiet there is a lovely roof terrace with another pool and bar the area being for adults only.

Can’t comment on the hotel entertainment as we spent most evenings out. Had a couple of fantastic nights at carriages club in new town.

Another good system the Flamingo has is with all inclusive i.d. Cards a nice change from wrist bands.

We would recommend this hotel for couples or families as they have thought of some good ideas to keep everyone happy, have a good time!
