Not a 4star and dated, and some staff members rude , we book this hotel on its ratings , but it about a 3star

Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

Despite a very disappointing apartment, the resort itself was clean and pleasant with superb beaches and facilities. We would definately visit the area again but this time avoid the Pins Marina Apartments.

La Pineda as a resort is decent with a good mix of shops, a few bars and the aqua park. Some of the shops sold good quality designer items and then there is also the shops that sell the rubbish (but they are good to look round!!)
So you will find outlets to purchase Tommy hilfiger and also the outlets that sell the Benny Hilfiger!!!
The beach was excellent with 90% sandy and clean some parts of the beach could be a little stoney and the water was clean and shallow for a long way out (great for the kids)
Despite the resort being fairly busy the beaches are really empty in comparison which is a bonus compared to Salou where your never more than a few inches away from being crushed by a large german un-bikini'd breast!!!
I have been to Salou before, but never remember it being this tatty and downmarket to be honest, so i was glad to be staying just outside but yet somewhere twice as nice.

Salou is what you make of it.
It is cosmopolitan and there is something to suit all ages.
the beaches are superb and having visited Salou over the years i have found that amenities have improved.
there are public toilets on the beach where you just need to leave a small tip.
The area was clean and i noticed that there seemed to be hardly any cgarette end on the floors.

The resort is only 15mins from Reus the local airport to your hotel but the airport is tiny and can bee cramed at departure as we were queing out the front door for departure check in. The long beach is lovely, fine sand and clean, sea a bit cold in june. Must see Universal Med park is fab,( I thought it was better than disney paris ) we went twice and still didn't see every thing, the water park is great as well but can feel very busy, avoid these at weekends as very full. If you like holiday shopping or lively nightlife go yo Benidorm or Ibiza because the resort of salou is spread out & small, but you can still find what your looking for if not a bit limited.

the resort was ok a bit grubby in places but fine loads of nightlife to choose from .You can go to brittish bars spanish or even go for the odd chinese. Beech was very clean but very busy you could hire 2sunbeds and a parosel for 11euros for the day. The resort had something for everybody and seamed to be pretty safe to walk about at nightyes there were looky looky men but if you said no they went away in all thats 2 times we have been and i might go back but not for a few years

not much to do in cap salou. too many steep incines to beaches. the paddock & smugglers best places to eat. Mickeys was the best bar with happy hour lasting from 7 till 10, karaoke & quiz with kim every night which was the only thing that made our holiday bearable. buses to salou every 5 mins cost 1.25 euro.
