Not a 4star and dated, and some staff members rude , we book this hotel on its ratings , but it about a 3star

Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

Salou is great with plently to do both day and night for families and adults alike. Theres plenty of bars, restaurants and clubs. We visted Aqualeon through Thomson which is a Waterpark and Safari in one, it's located in the mountains and was a fantastic day out. This is my third visit to Salou and I will definitely be going back!!

We stayed in Salou, not a place to go if you want to get away from it all. Very british, you have to look for or go further afield if you want any thing spanish.

The resort is flat plenty of places to eat out or just have a drink,we think that most of the eating places were cafe type, there was a very nice little Indian restaurant not far from the water park just down street a bit.The Aquqpolis waterpark is 10 minutes walk from the apts it was very busy and the que's were a long the street. It is very easy to get around on the local bus and cheaper than with the rep depending where you go La Pineda is next door to cap salou you go through cap to get to salou not much in cap salou,we thought that salou was very much like Benidorm if that's what you like to busy but nice to see.
All the local buses run every 15 minutes come out of apt turn left then left again go to top of street and you can get the bus outside the tobaconist Salou 7euro family 4 and Portaventure 7euro80.There is a person by nearly all of the bus stops or on the street with bus time tables and to help you if needed which is good.
We went into Salou to the House of Illusion we had a meal and free flowing beer wine pop for the kids that was at 630pm till 915 the rep said it was on till 10 but it was'nt or you could go to the later show that had no food, the evening was very good and we had a seat by the stage, bit expensive but good night out think we paid
135 euro for 4 you had to find you own way there so we got the local bus no problems very easy to do.
There was'nt any enterainment in La Pineda resort well we never seen any the beach is two minutes from apt plenty of supermarkets and cigs were about 30 to 34euro for 200 to buy

Salou is a great place to go on holiday. There is so much to do for adults and children. There is shopping in Salou and La Pineda which is about a 15 minute bus ride from Salou. Also there is a wonderful water park in La Pineda which is well worth a visit.
We bought tickets for Portaventura with our package and were told they got us into the water park next door but was told when we got there we had to pay half price!!
Portaventura was brilliant in the day and the night. They had the best fireworks show I have ever seen. The water park next door was fantastic, I was gutted we left if so late to go and only got to go once!!
I would deffinately visit Salou again!!!

The Entertainment at the metropolis is mixed but is generally for the kids, its all pretty good and its all free!!staff here pretty good and are happy to help when they can,There are a few places to eat very close by. I would not recomend molly malones, the food aand service was terrible, however theres the beer factory for a late dink, till half 2 and the mucky duck over the road which is by far the best food in the area. the staff here where very helpfull and as a lot of them live here they are full of local info. (more than the reps!) beach is just over the road very clean and combed everynight.temps up to 34 degrees so pool or sea very welcome everyday!we will definatly be back next year.

The score given was based on salou and not cap/salou. Salou is excellent, Although our apartments were advertised as being in salou.they were actually in cap salou, which is fine if you are looking for a quiet holiday with no entertainment. The beach in Salou is spotlessand there are plenty shops and entertainment

We found the resort to be very clean and tidy, wit plenty of pubs, resturants, and lots of entertainment for all ages, from bingo, kareoke, tribute bands(not like Benidorm).
For childrens entertainment our grand children aged 4 and 8 really enjoyed the Titanic bar, espeicialy High School Musical.
Port Aventura is excellent value for money, and is so close to the resort and very good public transport service we bought our tickets in England, which we payed for 7 day pass for the price of 3.If visiting Port Adventura you might need to take an extra t-shirt ,as many of the ride are on water, and you must stay to watch the fireworks display which started at 23- 45 hrs every night.
The last bus leaves the park at 00-30 hrs

Salou itself was lovely. The beach was great, busy but we always managed to get a space. With jet ski hire and a ride on the banana boat if you are brave enough! The Fountains were great fun for the kids and adults! My only regret is that we never got to see the fountain light show at night, Maybe next time. Nice cafe/bars to just sit and people watch along the beach front.
