Not a 4star and dated, and some staff members rude , we book this hotel on its ratings , but it about a 3star

Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

The resort was great fun during the day you could go to the beach or walk about and see the sights and amazing views. At night it comes to life as well with you being right in the centre for entertainment for all ages, the places to be were "007" before 11 if you hav family, "bus stop" for those looking for the lively side of things and "kiss" although go there later as it is open till 5am. The resort was absolutely spotless and the beach was brilliant with water sports and entertainment avaliable at resonable prices.

Salou is a very family orientated resort. Extremely clean with no rubbish or bins on the main streets. There are loads of bars, night clubs, British pubs. Something to suit absolutely everyone of all ages. The beaches are kept extremely clean and the quality of the sand is excellent. There are plenty of sun shades all the way along the beach for a small charge. It is a lovely walk from Salou to Cambrils along the beach, just paddling on the waters edge.

Salou centre was quite a long walk from the site but buses are frequent and quite cheap. Some good bars and restaurants near site but most are in salou centre. Beach was lovely.

We found Salou to be very clean, but not much for families to do.
Prices are quite expensive for food and drink, the best place we found was California where the food, service and prices are exceptional in what we thought is a very overated resort!
Portaventura is fantastic, but buy your tickets before you go over, much cheaper!
We weren't impressed by Caribe waterpark though, not much in there and 10 euros to hire a family locker!

Salou itself is a nice little town, lots of bars and restaurants and shops. Beach nice, but hire of beds and shades very expensive. Penty to do in way of beach activities and excursions.

The Resort we stayed in i thought was alright, the thing i didt like was there wasetn alot of traffic lights for like the kids to cross the road safely. but overall i liked La Pineda.

La pineda is a quiet resort, I would say best suited to families and couples rather than people looking for loads of nightlife. The beach is fab although we found the part nearest the mushroom type statues to be the best as there was less stones plus beach cafes and loungers for hire.
There are plenty of places to eat both English and more tradional Spanish. I can recommend The Captains Table, Gordons and The WaterFront for good british food and things the kids will eat. The Indian next to Gordons is also absolutely gorgeous. Not many night clubs to be found unless you venture into Salou, a short bus journey away. Here there is another lovely stretch of beach plus hundreds of shops, bars and restuarants.
If you are planning on trips out then Barcelona is a must. The street acts are fascinating in la ramblas and if you venture down the side streets you will find some great little hidden cafes.
If you get the chance to go on Jeep Safari then do it. Takes you all through the mountains and little villages, plus get the chance for a dip in a mountain lake.
A great evening out is The house of illusion. Rubbish food but the magic show is out of this world. The mind reader is a real laugh plus a little scary.
I love La Pineda for it's quietness but also in that for more entertainment, everything is a short bus ride away. Will definetely be going a fourth time.
