Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

We stayed in room 438 good view over the pool the pictures I have included you will see walk in shower no grip handles and shower mat on the base of the shower and this was provided by the holiday rep

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

SALOU IS A WONDERFUL PLACE FOR BOTHCOUPLES AND FAMILIES. THE THEME PARK AND WATER PARKS ARE A GREAT FAMILY DAY OUT. THERE ARE LOTS OF SHOPS WHICH VARY WIDLEY . THERE ARE ALSO LOTS OF EATERIES AND PUBS. FOR OLDER PEOPLE THERE IS A CLUB THAT DOES TEA DANCES. I TRAVELLED WITH 2 TEENAGERS AND WE ALL HAD A BALL DESPITE THE FACT IT RAINED 3 DAYS OUT OF 7

Salou - it is what it is - typical spanish costa type feel - usual tacky bars. Cambrils is far superior a little way up the coast. Its very spanish with a fantastic sea side harbour that does delicious fresh seafood and nice boutiques.
Best thing - ryanair to reus is silly money, I paid £12.99!!

both beaches were very clean. the resort itself was clean.
the shops all seemed to sell the same stuff.
there is a wide choice of restaurants, but as it was still early, some were still closed. if you can you must try rosie's kitchen, for great food and an even better welcome.

Cap Salou - March / April out of season - dead, everything’s closed apart from the odd local bar. Streets were surprisingly spotless no dog mess etc.
Salou - Blackpool in the sun as quoted, rows and rows of tat shops selling naff souvenirs. Restaurants full of brit food on offer. Why do they put pictures of the food up outside the bars - do they really think I don’t know what egg and chips looks like compared to a jacket potato?!
Beaches - deserted and fantastically clean!

no probs with resort only most shops closed but that was due to been december. we only booked to stay in salou so could do christmas at portaventura which is fantastic been to salou lots of times and resort is fantastic very clean and lots to due in the warmer months

Salou is a typical english holiday resort (very much Blackpool in spain), if you are going to the theme park Portaventura be warned that it is not for people who have difficulty walking as most of the attractions are up a very steep hill. Overall very disappointed with the package holiday

the resort was great there is different things entertainment every night.
the beach is beautiful lovely views of the mountains sea is clean.
cant wait to go back.
