Not a 4star and dated, and some staff members rude , we book this hotel on its ratings , but it about a 3star

Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

Salou is an amazing place, I love it there. This is my 3rd time going. Word to the wise, if you are a beach fan, buy your own parasols and something to lie on. The charges for renting parasols and beds for a day is the same price, or more in some cases than buying your own! There are so many clubs pubs and eateries in salou, don't stick to the same area every night, every pub is child friendly, and there are all types, from quiet, relaxing places down the promenade, with lovely staff in most, to lively pubs in the centre of salou, most staff are a good laugh and really down to earth. This really is a great place for all ages, however if you have a young family I would probably recommend staying outside salou, possibly in the Cap, as it is much more peaceful there at night, than in among the hustle and bustle of the town. La Pineda has a fantastic waterpark with dolphin and seal shows daily, and of course Port Aventura is a must, but do buy tickets at home before you go, they are worth the investment, as it takes more than a day to get around the park, and its 42euro for one day, and 21euro to return the next, on the internet you can get 14day for 3day passes for £51. Dont miss out! Salou is fantastic, a place I'll definately return to!

The beach front and main streets are clean and well paved, but wander off the main routes the pavements are broken narrow pot-holes and sometimes dirty with obstacles making it hard for people with pushchairs to get around and were having to go between parked cars and into the roads where drivers stoppedfor you under duress! The beaches were very nice and well kept facilities were not too bad these were supplied by public toilets. I would visit the resort of Salou again in the future but not for a couple of years.

The resort in General was very clean and well maintained. The entertainment around the result would vary from family to family etc. however we enjoyed the Irish Bars mostly. Christy's is a must esp from 11pm onwards!
There are plenty of shops about but they are now mostly sports shops and bag shops, which weren't exactly cheap. The must have gadget there at the moment seems to be megaphones which everyone seem to be buying and using on their balconies, especially the young lads!
The main Salou beach was very well kept and cleaned every morning. Although I cannot comment on the beach nearer our accommodation as we were unable to use it as it is on a very steep incline with a lot of steps to walk down. It did look beautiful though.
Port Aventura is a must for anyone who visits Salou, although I would advise to go after 6pm as there are less queues then. We hada 14 day pass so went quite a few times, the younger kids loved it aswell as us older ones lol!
I had a great holiay here in Salou and would reccommend it to anyone with or without a family. There is something to do for everyone.

Salou is a good place for all ages.It has many clubs, bars and resturaunts which are suitable for all. IT is only 1 hour in bus to barcelona and portaventura is well worth the money and visit as it is only 5 mins away.

The resort was spotless so that was good to see, no flies to bother you.
We went with a young child so we had hotel entertainment in the evening but the resort is buzzing all night to cater for all tastes.
The strong euro made the prices a little more expensive than a couple of years ago so take enough to last you.
The beach was great too with all ages enjoying the sea and the sand.
I would recommend this as a good place to visit.

The side streets of Salou are not very clean and the smell of sewerage is evident, however the main streets are very clean.
We didn't venture out of our hotel for evening entertainment but there were lots of pubs advertising quizzes/sports etc so I assume you could have a good night out.
I would recommend the Old Brown Cow pub for lunch-it is an english pub and the staff were very friendly and the food was good.
The beaches were lovely and clean, I will advise you not buy food/drinks from the beach stalls though. My husband was charged 2 euros for 1 can of coke (and was stupid enough to pay it)! There are also men walking around trying to sell sunglasses all the time but as long as you just say no without getting into conversation they will leave you alone. One afternoon we were approached by thai ladies offering a massage for 10 euros but again they leave you alone if you just say no.
I would visit Salou again as we really enjoyed it.
