Request a room that is facing away from the pool area if you want quiet at night. The rooms facing out have great views and are also very quiet at night even though there is live entertainment going on.

We stayed in room 438 good view over the pool the pictures I have included you will see walk in shower no grip handles and shower mat on the base of the shower and this was provided by the holiday rep

They have water stations dotted around the hotel, which is a great idea. You buy a recyclable bottle for €4 and you can fill it as many times as you like! Saves on buying lots of plastic bottles from supermarkets etc. Eco Friendly ?

Pool view rooms are good, if you want to watch the entertainment from your room. The entertainment is over by 11pm so no problem with noise, unless you go to bed early. Calypso 1 is the block with the restaurant, bars, etc. so I thought it the best choice

Was not keen on Salou because it seems to be very rundown.
It was full of graffiti, very poor paving and generally dirty. We went because it was near to Port Av and Barcelona and I cannot see any other reason to stay there. It has been compared to Blackpool and Benidorm but if it had been half as good as either of those resorts we would have returned. Salou, no thanks.

Very good resort, entertainment very good, beach brilliant!

We are not 'beach people' so it is difficult for us to comment on this. But it looked a wide and clean beach.
There was no external entertainment just around the hotel but bear in mind that Salou is only a couple of miles away with (I would think) plenty of entertainment

Loads of shops. Visit Rosies bar and the George and Dragon for good english food, friendliness and to watch Corrie and Eastenders.

Salou struck us as being a resort well past it´s sell-by date and in need of loads of renovation. Most of the buildings look like a coat of paint would make all the difference. Definately not somewhere we would visit again.

Plenty of playgrounds and climbing apparatus for the kiddies
Resort a bit grubby but it probably looks better when its not raining-it rained for 4 of our 7 days

salou in general is ok apart from having to look at your walet every 5 seconds,portaventura is very good we went 4 times in 12 nights but is very much on par with alton towers as apposed to disney.if you want a real action holliday go to america,cause the rides in salou dont support ourselfs and are not up to the standards which they set.

The resort of Cap Salou was alright but the rain that fell was dirty and it made the resort very dull and grubby.
The resort entertainment was also alright there are a couple of bars and small restaurants in Cap Salou which is ideal if you dont want to much noise.
I cant comment on the other beaches but we went down to the little beach by the hotel but it was disgusting there were fag buts wrappers and pants on the beach so we didnt even let the kids take their shoes off, maybe the beach and the streets are not cleaned in the later months!

Some parts of Salou had litter, but it is a very busy resort even in October. We had a lot of rain the first 3 days which resulted on overflowing drains and accompanied smell in the streets!
Generally a very lively resort plenty of bars and restaurants.
Lots to do in the surrounding areas, Universal port adventura theme park and a day trip to Barcelona is a must, just beware pick pockets as in any big city.
Beach is swept every morning and plenty of on beach free play aras for kids and free toilets.

The bus stops right outside the hotel to go to Salou, the beaches are nice, La Pineda is nice, and the Sunday market at Buona Vista is worth a visit.
