Not much goes on in this resort, not a great deal of night life so if it's clubbing you want go elsewhere.
The resort itself is'nt that clean but the beach is nice
Yes I would go back again the people are friendly you always get a warm welcome

We loved the area, it is a typical Tunisian town, bustling and busy, the medina is a must if only for the jokes from the sellers! Our beach was fantastically clean, don't sit on the row nearest the water though as the beach sellers can be a pain after a while.

Les Orangers is 3 dinar yellow taxi ride from Hammamet. Plenty of shopping in the souks there, visit the market at Nabul on friday, 25 dinar return in yellow taxi.
What a great experience.
Good beach at Hammamet, plenty of restaurants too, but do remember you must barter and haggle with stallholders.
Thanks again to the lovely Tunisian people for a wonderful holiday.

Farce at the airport as officials check your paperwork and waste an hour of your holiday for you. Can't be helped, but it makes you think about faffing about going there again!
That said, it was worth it, and whilst Hammamet is an hour from the airport, you get to see some scenery etc.
Biggest departure from recent hols was the lack of sky sports bars advertising wall to wall football (which I have no problem with) but you can find Al Jazeera or whatever if you ask.
Tunisia is a bit old Eastern Europe in its economics and so you have one brand of beer, all Pilsner style lager that I saw, or being muslim, some places only do alcohol free Stella Artois, which is like drinking a malt and hops fruit drink. (Ugh!) Comical to see the advert for the usual "they get everywhere" Irish bar with a girl's glass of lager on the picture and no sign of a Guinesss, Ted, anywhere.
The first choice rep (Lindsey) was great and as a Tunisian resident for several years she knows all the ropes. Any problem (like a detached shower head) was fixed immediately and hotel staff were mortified when I showed them a bulb that had blown on our balcony and asked them for a replacement. No way was I going to do it, that was their job they assured me!! And they did, fantastic!!
Oh and the Royal Azur has a water slide and a waterfall. Mint, like the tea.
Highly recommended.

Beach was lovely....typical of Tunisian golden sands.
Plenty of cafes and restaurants and very pleasant walking areas. Plenty of cheap taxis if you get too tired to walk!

Not as nice as Skanes beach, there was a lot of hassling from the local who sell the cigerettes and the fruit,as there is no one from the hotel to move them on.
Also there are no sunbeds down on the melia floras beach that you can use.
We used the other hotels beds we just told them we were staying at that hotel.

Everywhere you went you were hassled and intimidated by people trying to sell you, what more often than not was rubbish. Most of them would not take no for an answer.
Welcome packs advise you not to walk around with too much jewellery on, I therefore removed most of my best jewellery (3 gold chains and 4 rings) and put it in the room safe.
I never saw it again, when we came to pack it had gone from the safe. As we were leaving early the following morning, there was no time to contact the police and the hotel staff were not really interested. All in all this has been a nightmare holiday and we would definately not return to tunisia

Resort is very basic not a lot to do in the evenings,Beach would have been lovely if you did not have to negotiate broken glass and other left over items laying around. Always being hasseled for money,Wife felt very intimidated while out walking and looking around.
