Port et kantaoui is a loevly place, all the locals are so friendly. Yeah you will get asked to go into there shops but a firm no and they will leave you alone. I discovered they left us alone on the second week when we were a bit more brown! lots of shops, but they sell more aless the same things. There are fixed price stores if you do not want to haggle.

The resort is very clean and nice. The boat trips they do are'nt that good. Eating out food and fresh juices are nice. Just a bit of advice for females when dressing it is probaly best to where long skirts or trousers especially if u are walking round the resort and touring out of the resort such as the deserts and tunis.

A fairly compact resort offering all the basic amenities, shops, restaurants, beaches and golf course although with very little character and I would have thought little to keep you interested beyond a week. There did appear to be regular transport to nearby Sousse and other towns however.
There was a good stretch of clean sandy beach, unfortunately this was spoiled by the near constant harrassment by people offering quad bikes rides, camel rides, jewellery etc. On occasion some of the sellers would get uncomfortably lecherous towards my fiance, even in my presence, and consequently we spent little time on the beach.
The resort was clean and easy to walk around although again shop keepers would often pester you as would apparent hashish sellers, although this was less in-your-face.
The restaurants and cafes around the marina were very good, we enjoyed some very nice meals out with excellent service but there appeared little else to do otherwise.

Beach was ok, paragliding - fantastic, there was a local recreation area, park, numerous shops, cafes, restaurants.

I would recommmend it greatly to future visitors.

When we visited Port el Kantauoui we were told it was an up market kind of area - how wrong could they have been. However there were some very nice looking hotels.

Beach not very clean with piles of sea grass on the shoreline along with bottles and cans etc!

No entertainment in resort apart from hotels.

Not a very clean place to visit and would not visit Port el Kantauoi or Tunisia again.

Fairly quiet around hotel beach just a couple of hundred metres down the road, lovely for a long stroll looked clean and safe if you wanted could walk to the marina (about 45 minutes).

Transport to marina could be horse and cart or if prefer a taxi but horses did look very thin and sad so we always used foot or taxi.

Expect alot of hassle around the shops to eat or go and look inside dont be bothered too much plenty of bargains to be had if you need them or not.

As already stated Golden Soviva way out from main resort marina.

The main Marina was ok, just shops and restarunts no entertainment so for familys not ideal. Around the Golden Soviva was a dump and didnt feel safe at night.

Expect to feel very intimidated when you go most places in Tunisia whether on the beach for fruit jetskiis camel rides etc., and more so around any shops, they never give up and it was so bad it would put us off going to Tunisia again. You have been warned!!!

Went on horse riding trip and quad bikes both good but as you come to expect of these countries health and safety is not top on ther list but we took it steady and really enjoyed the experience.

The port is very nice and relaxed, lots of places to eat, would recommend the Mediterranea, very cheap, but always take toilet paper where ever you go.

Lots of shops all very nice people, and not too much hassling.

We found that Port El Kantoui suited us very well - really appreciated being able to amble safely to/around the harbour during the day or evening. Enough going on to be interesting without being tacky and local traders not as persistently annoying as in more traditional areas. Shares common problem of seaweed build up on beaches but efforts were in hand to clear away regularly and generally v. clean.

I enjoyed my stay here and thought it a nice resort. Not much going on, but I expected that. I was surprised that the beaches were not cleaner, I found them quite grubby. I would visit again.
