2 families are just back from a week in the Sahara Beach, on arrival we were kept waiting for 1/2 hr before getting our all inclusive card.
My first impression was of a prison camp, I felt it was too big and did not have the quality; the food was not up too much. There was supposed to be a kid

Sahara beach hotel is very clean, lots of choice in food and very hot, it is a bit away from shops for walking distance but the hotel has bottled water, hotel staff cant do enough for you and always with a smile, entertainment is very good lots to do in the day and shows of a night, yes I would go back time again

This hotel was amazing because the staff there was the best staff we have had in all of our holidays the food in the restaurant was good because there was plenty to choose from.

Fantastic hotel right on the beach. Been here 5 times and would return again but not for a few years as we have done all the trips most excellent value.
Entertainment this time not as good as in the past as with a young child we found by the time it was starting the little one was ready for bed.
All the hotel staff are polite and give excellent service. You must remember you are in their country so respect them.

The hotel was situated in a quite location. it was only a few minutes drive from the airport which was fantastic.
Although we were delayed with our trip when we arrived the staff were very good. Our room was very clean, we had 5 in out family so we had a connecting room which was great because we still had our privacy and the children felt all grown up. The only thing was the balcony we didn't like the children to open the door without one of us being there, and unfortunaly there were no locks.
We were on the 5th floor which is still quite high. The food wasn't bad but could of being better. The hotel staff and the waiters were fantastic. They couldn't do enough for us. I would most definatly return to Saraha Beach without a shadow of a doubt

We stayed for 2 weeks all-inclusive at the Sahara Beach Hotel Skanes September 2004 and thoroughly enjoyed the whole holiday.
Room was good with sea & pool views, the staff couldn't be better, the food was excellent as we like to try local food when we travel. Some people complained about the entertainment in the evenings, but as the weather was fantastic we went to the open air theatre most evenings where we met up with new friends and really enjoyed all the shows.
We were surprised that it was so easy to obtain pool sun beds as we are early risers. We saw one the various pool attendents who soon got to know us and for a few dinars made certain we got the same spot each day.
The trips out by coach or Noddy Train very good and we did go to all the places we wanted to.
We shall most certainly return for another holiday at the Sahara Beach Hotel in the very near future.

From Monastir airport, it took only 15 minutes to reach our hotel.
On arrival at the Sarhara Beach, you do feel a little in awe at the sheer size of the place. We had famliy already staying there otherwise we would have got totally lost.
Rooms are a decent size for 2 or 3 people. If you want a seaview, ask for a pool end room on upper floor.
On your way to the dining room, there are stalls on both sides of the corridor, sometimes they will hassle you, just say no, quite firmly.
You are allocated your own table with your own waiter. You will sometimes be given a table to share with someone else. If you do not like this, just tell your friendly waiter.
The food was always quite tasty with lots of variation and always nice and hot.
All inclusive drinks were quite good and not too weak like some places though you can only get 1 at a time.
Entertainment was quite good most nights, though quite repetative if your stay is for 2 weeks.
Bar staff can be miserable if your are not a pretty female.
If you are wise, you will not eat the ice cream as I did and ended up in pain and with a good view of the toilet bowl till we left.
Overall, although the hotel was very large, it was kept spotlessly clean all over.
The hotel could not be any closer to the beautiful soft white sandy beach, on which, I took a camel ride on for 10 dinar. Give this a go, it is fun.

This was the fourth time that my family and I have stayed at the Sahara Beach. But unfortunately this will be the last.
The hotel and staff were as always very helpful but the standards and facilities had dropped dramatically. Many people would think that it is a great place to stay but after staying there when it was much better we were really disappointed.
The beaches are fantastic especially if you are travelling with children and the nice flat paths with ramps are also a great help.
The food standards had dropped tremendously. The choice was less and the selection poor compared to previous years.
Not all the facilities were open and the waterfalls in the main pool were not working.
We were generally disappointed after being so pleased in previous visits. We ended up using the hotel next door and paying for food and drinks.
But please do not let this put you off Tunisia. It is a marvelous place to visit and the people are fantastic.

I visited this hotel last year with my family. There were four of us in the party, myself, my husband and my two children aged 13 months and 5 years. I was very worried about the food as the baby was very fussy. I had nothing to worry about.
This was the best holiday we have ever been on. The entertainment was fantastic. There was a childrens disco till 8.30pm a game of family bingo and then a live show. The shows were amazing, there were fire eaters to magic shows and productions of the Lion King and Grease.
The entertainment staff work so hard. We found them really friendly and helpful.
OK, the rooms are basic but do you go on holiday to sit in your room? Dont worry about the reports if your going there. I would go back tomorrow.
