Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

The resort is small, pretty, clean, well stocked with good restaurants and shops, visited by a weekly market. You have to haggle over virtually every price but this can be a little wearing at times.
People were friendly and speak good English, very good with young children. Free pool tables everywhere. If they are not busy, some staff will pester you a little to frequent their establishment, but a general 'No hasstle' initiative is beginning to impact (apparently).
Beach is clean but covering with sunloungers at £1 per day, 'managed' by beach boys, shingle beach not sand.
Relaxed, safe atmosphere. Try a Turkish bath at the the start of your holiday but don't pay more than 20 YTL

2nd time in Icmeler , and to honest time has stood still , in a very good way , all the pubs and resturants i liked where still there , Taj Mahal indian resturant run by a chef from Bradford 10/10 . Mr Chef is aslo 10/10 the food is fantastic.
If you like entertainment , the Lion fun pub and the three bells fun pub are good places to go ... Icmeler stops bang on midnight so if have a young family you will get some quiet , you can drink on until 2 oclock , but no music. I also liked the Chill bar , 70,s 80,s mucic , and if your fan of Elvis Presley his double can be found working in this bar , work is a loose term he stands there.
Icmeler is best found out by yourself.

Icmeler is a lovely clean friendly town to visit, the hassel is about the same as anywhere you visit in Turkey, even though there where "no hassel" posters everywhere, but if you are prepared for it and have a joke with the shop keepers then you will be ok.
We did not go into Icmeler of a night as we have 2 young chilren. We did not go to the beach as we thourght they looked a little dirty, cigerette ends and litter. Yes we would visit Icmeler again and hope to soon.

Icmeler is lovely, the surrounding mountains, the greenary and the flowers make every view beautiful
There are plenty of shops and the market is great on a Wednesday - take some of your spending money in GBP £10 notes, they love it over there and will gladly trade in GBP, you will often get a better price.
All in all a great holiday, take a short walk to The Weyside restaruant for a truly excellent meal, whether it be dinner, breakfast or lunch. Sylvias is great for breakfast also.
There is a bit of hassle with touting but a simple 'no' will suffice, they dont chase you down the street so just keep walking. There is a campaign being run at the moment and you will see everywhere 'NO HASSTLE' posters encouraging locals to respect the tourists.
The locals love children and when they offer to take your baby for a walk while you eat your meal, it can be quite un-nerving but they only mean to rock the pram while you eat your meal in peace, the do not take offence if you say no either.
Boat trips are cheap and often include at least one meal, sometimes 2 meals, and the most expensive I saw was £10 each.
The barbers offer a great service and very reasonable and the kids will love the oppertunity to have a funky hair do for their hols, let it get a bit longer before you go so they can have some colour put in that you can get cut out before they go back to school if you want a holiday treat -the men can enjoy a shave and pamper - hey they deserve it - it means that you can insist on one of those sparkly diamonds that are in all the jewelers windows....!
Had a thoroughly brilliant time, we will definatley go back both to Icmeler and to The Club Aquarium.

Icmeler is the business, I have been there three times now and still have lots that i haven't seen or experienced.
Majestic Restaurant is brilliant and the entertainment is memorable! The Melissa Restaurant and the Sahin Palace Restaurant were also brilliant, you'll love Rex at Melissa!
If you want a fun boat trip try Captain Bullshits (I know the name is off-putting!!)but he and Mrs Bullshit (Mel) are a scream.
Beach is good much better than Marmaris although quite busy but you can't expect to have heaven to yourself!

Icmeler is beautiful, we have been here 2 years in a row. The only diference this year is that there was a big drop in holidaymakers and this made the hassle from bars and restaurants a big pain. Last year it was great to be able to walk along the street with very little hassle (if you,ve been to Marmaris you will know what I mean) but the lack of visitors this year made the doormen desperate. Hopefully this is just a temporary blip and next year when the holidaymaker return, they will go back to their good natured and hassel free ways.

Resort was very clean, plenty of bars and restaurants.
Beach was clean - although first impressions make you feel like you are going to be packed in sardines.
Definitely recommend the jeep safari - as long as you don't mind getting wet.
