Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

What we didn't like about the resort is the local people in the bars and shops and so on, they did nothing but hassle us all the time, all we wanted was to be left alone to make our own decisions about where we would like to eat. I don't think we will be going back to Turkey.

This was my first visit to Turkey so wasn't sure what to expect, but what a lovely place. Icmeler is a very clean and buzzing town. There are loads of restaurants and bars, and the people are so much fun & very friendly.
You eventually get used to them trying to persuade you to look at their menus, but if you're polite, so are they,and you can have good fun with them.
Marmaris is only 5-10mins away where there would be more varied nightlife/clubs etc. Icmeler beach is a small bay with many sunbeds and although I never went to the beach myself it looked very clean.
Will definitely pay it a visit though when I'll hopefully be returning in the summer of 2006!

We have been to Icmeler about 9 times now and class it as our 2nd home. We like to try and visit twice a year,usually June and October.
We love to go on trips especially ones arranged with John Toohey you will be guaranteed a good time. We eat out every night and always try at least 2 new places to eat on our holiday, but still have our favourites.

We love Icmeler and will be returning in 7 weeks time although stopping in Marmaris as Icmeler closed in the winter but we will still pop over and have a wander, pretty town with lovely beach and scenery, highly recommended.

We have been to Icmeler over 10 times so obviously we find everything about the resort to be excellent. Reason for beach standard only being 4 is that it is more shingle than sand.

The resortI stayed in was beautiful there was no rubbish on the streets and the locals were so friendly.
The entertainment was great the waiters were funny and bend over backwords just to impress you.
The beach was lovely except the sand was not real it was shingliy it was quite hard to walk on put you could always sit by the apartment pool. I would definately recommend it.

Icemeler is a medium sized friendly resort suited to families more than late night revellers .

We visited Icmeler the last week of the season so it was pretty quiet. Even though a lot of bars were closing up, we had a great time and loved Icmeler . The hassle of come into my bar, cafe etc became a bit tiresome at times.
We went for a walk most nights and stopped off at a few different bars. I felt comfortable walking around at night with my chilren . Everyone is very friendly and the service good.
The beach is well kept and clean, shingle beach and clear water for swimming in , however gets deep very quick so children or non-swimmers should take care. The views of the mountains on the beach are lovely. There are plenty of boat trips to take you to different beaches and places of interest, you can book these with any of the guys along the front, also you will find places to book these in town.
Don't miss the market on a Wednesday busy but great fun with plenty of bargains to be had.

Very easy to get around resort plenty of bars and resturants and shops.
Entertainment varies from bar to bar.
Beach a bit gritty but otherwise great views and plenty of sunbeds although you have to pay not expensive.
Food highly recommend 3 bells hotel near Tansas great food brilliant staff great choice try the korean food also good breakfast.
Friends opposite ATM machines again good food and great staff.
Captain Bull****ts not impressed but maybe I was unlucky other people seem to rate it.
Other places to eat Black sea resturant and Coco beach both very good quality and service.
Even though it was the last week still plenty of places open and weather was brilliant.
First time to Turkey would go again and defintley to Icmeler lovely place and stunning scenery cant wait to go again next year.
