Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

Icmeler was a great resort 3 years ago when we last stayed.
Everything is over priced from drinks to jewellery I don't think they can compete much longer most stuff as before, but people very nice & friendly when you are buying, not for me anymore too much hassle.
They say this is what turkey is all about but even they know there is a time and place and is driving the tourist away it,s a shame because I loved this place it was like a little peace of heaven.

The resort is very clean at all times and a pleasure to stroll round, this is one of the best rerorts i have ever visited.
The people are very friendly and always willing to have a laugh with you.
Eating out is a pleasure and provides some of the best meals we have ever eaten on holiday, in my opinion the best of them all is the Set Steak house owned by Andy & Ju Ju, and is situated on the main road in the town at the junction across from the Magic carpet.
This is a must if you love quality food and quality service, thank you to all the staff at the Set steak house.

Icmeler is fantastic with a wide variety of bars and restaurants for all ages, tastes and moods. We never had a bad meal / evening the whole two weeks we were out there.
The staff in the resort are very friendly and helpful, with most of them speaking English and they provide most of the evening entertainment in the bars.
I would highly recommend this resort.

All the bars / resturants are within walking distance of the Avlu 4. There are lot's of bars & resturants, many of the resturants put on shows around 1030 pm [all the waiters etc get involved, hillarious]
Lot's of little shops/stalls either side of the canal...
Lot's to do, loads of boat trips. Recommend a guy called Ian -does the 5 bays trip!!!!!
Dfinitely coming back next year!!!
So much nicer than Marmaris which is exactly like Blackpool! Draw your own conclusion to that.....

This holiday to Icmeler was our 2nd visit and 4th overall to Turkey, it is a nice family type resort a lot lot smaller than Marmaris.
Lots of restaurants for its size and nearly as many shops, you'd need to be there for 5 months to eat in each restaurant.
You banter with the shopkeepers, the kids played with the Carat jewellers little dog Tommy who have their shop at the side of Avlu 1.
We ate at Captain Bullshits (not the same staff this year, Skinny Rambo and Robbie Williams weren't there), it made a difference. Alvaro restaurant, Bart Simpsons, 3 bells, Mudurno Chicken, and mainly Eileens chippy which also did turkish food as well, Eileens worked out the cheapest for us. The one restaurant who really got on my nerves was the bloke outside the SummerGarden he kept saying why have you not been in etc, no matter how many times we said there's too many to go to he wouldnt leave alone, so we used to cross over to avoid him and never eat in there even though quite a few people have said its a nice place. So his over pushiness made us not want to try it.
Although prices have gone up a fair bit, its still good value, nice people, weather. Rubbish airport but that might improve next year.
Prices at Dalaman are as dear as people say, 21.5 TYL for chicken whopper meal for 1 person about £9ish.
one suggestion to avoid queuing down the ramp at Dalaman if you have an afternoon flight as we did if you get there earlier about 11am the coaches havent all started arriving so there's only small queues if any outside. Even though we were picked up at 8.40am and didn't appreciate it then, we did when we got to the airport. The departure lounge was half empty, but by 12 noon it was filling up a lot, and when we went to the departure gate at 1pm (we were flying at 2.40pm) you could see the people queuing down the ramp and i felt for them as we were in that situation last year.
I wish I was back there now.

Icmeler is a fantastic resort if you don't mind being hassled by all the restaurant staff and shop owners.
I would definitely visit again.

The resort was very nice and clean. Plenty of very very good restaurants. Would recomend The Meyzen, Barron and Dost restaurants, all were excellent. This resort was more for older couples and families. There wasn't any clubs or cocktail bars apart from one on the beach which was a kareoke(??) bar. Many couples we spoke to traveled to the neigbouring resort of Marmaris for their evenings entertainment.
The beach was ok, not a lovely golden sandy beach but a coarse brown shingly beach, packed with sunbeds and umbrellas.

Thank goodness for Icmeler. A wonderful town which is surrounded by a gorgeous back drop of pine clad mountains, the clear blue skys and the general buzz of a clearly thriving resort made the holiday.
Although we found it to be about 40 minutes walk, the kids struggled in the heat, so we chose the dolmus over the taxi, why ? well the taxi cost around 8 - 12 lira which works out around 2.80 - 4.20 before midnight based on a non meter based fare, and the dolmus cost just 1 lira per person thats around 35 pence each ! A little trick is when a taxi pulls up they will normally ask "taxi ?" just say we are catching the dolmus, they drop their price like a bad habit for you, 5 lira to anywhere in icmeler.
The streets are lined with resturants, shops, jewellers, bars and hotels, everyone is so keen for your business the hassle is much more intense this year we found due to volume of resturants that have opened up, this can work to your advantage if you can barter. Maybe first drinks free ?
Wednesday is market day in icmeler, where you can buy all your genuine fakes for £10.00, their maths aint that good so be careful and remember if its 2.3 lira to the pound its 23 lira to the tenner, not 25 lira as they like to tell you.
The market has a selection of clothes (all names) of course they're fake, what do you want for a tenner ! cheap jewellery (be careful the ladies selling them are very tough negotiators only barter if your buying. Toys, bags, belts, fresh produce, spices, aftershave (which is extremely watered down), shoes and soft furnishings a real treat to the bargain hunter. Cheap as chips !
Best resturants ? The black sea was simply brilliant, Dreamboys on the canal were so entertaining, Franco, how do you do that trick with the coctails balanced on your head swinging form trees, lights and other suspended beams, and with out spilling a drop. Amazing !
The elif bar was great if you want a quiet snack and a drink by the beach, but all food and drink in icmeler is fantastic, the best resturant for us this year has to be Romance Resturant, well done to Ali G, Hussain, mosquito and all the guys, despite being fenabache fans your okay, big up to the two besiktas fans.
Of course if you get chance, drop into Ozzy's bar he is brilliant, serving excellent food at fantastic prices.
Enough about food, if you get the time. Try the taxi boats to Neibouring Marmaris or even Turunc both are a must, it will only cost you 7.5 lira each (around £2 mark) excellent value.
Overall, top marks to icmeler, plenty to see and do, try the local culture we enjoyed it, Kurt jewellers really looked after us when i bought my wife a couple of diamond gold rings, thank you gary.
Top marks to Icmeler a must for a traveller.
Pegasus airways need to look their food tho, very bland and tasteless. Our pegasus flight from Humberside took just over 3 hours and the transfer was around 2 hours not bad going.

Fourth time in Turkey and we felt that Icmeler is the best place. Plenty of entertainment for us but perhaps not too much for kids.
The beach was not the best we have seen but is ok.
Special mention to the Dreamboys bar, the best and cheapest entertainment in Icmeler, how do they keep it up?
