Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

Icmeler is a lovely resort.
It's quieter than neighbouring Marmaris, but can still be quite lively at night. There are numerous bars and restaurants to choose from and all the owners want to you to eat in theirs.
We found that if you tell them that you've already eaten, with a smile, that usually suffices and they wish you a pleasant evening. We often called in at the Chill Bar on the way back to our apartments for a drink. The kids loved the cocktails in there.
The beach in Icmeler in my opinion is more European. You pay for sunbeds on the beach. We actually preferred to catch a dolmus into Marmaris. The beach is smaller, the beds and umberellas are free and you are served on the beach from the bars opposite.
The canal area is very popular and boasts lots of bars, restuarants and many shops and stalls.
We would definitely visit Icmeler again. It is a very pretty resort and in places it is just like walking round a large garden.
Would recommend this resort to our friends.

Me and my family are used to Spain and thought Turkey would be dirty, but we were wrong - very very wrong.
Icmeler was immaculate there wasnt many bins but didnt seem to be any litter. The Turkish people that owned the shops there were canny but for our first few days they would drive us crazy trying to get us into there shops and restaurant/bars. Not long after they didnt bother us anymore.
The night life at Icmeler is fab a we would be out from 8:30 pm - 4:30am...ish!! Theres loads of places to eat out and all the bars have great entertainment for people of all ages. a few of our favourite bars were Linekers, Blondies, Friends, theres a really good one called Pulse 8 and me and my families personal favourite is the majestic boys. especially my daughter! She loved it!
All the bars have to turn off their music at midnight. My kids are 14 and 16 and still have loads of energy at midnight, so, we went clubbing. My kids got in no bother, I mean there were loads of kids in.
We had a wicked time at the local nightclubs. Pleasure and Eastenders. The only thing we were disappointed about is the beach. It was awful jam packed of sunbeds. The sea was a bit dirty but was great for the kids because it had ringos and banana boats, parasailing, speed boats all from 10 lira.
All in all I would definitely go back to Icemeler but unfortunately next year were going to Altinkum.

Icmeler is a good resort and is only 10 mins away from Marmaris, the beach is not as it used to be but over all it scores 7 out of 10

The resort of Icmeler is lively but still retains it's village atmosphere. Take time to wander through the old village, visit the mosque, see the locals farming in traditional methods.
The resort offers entertainment to suit everyone, from loud disco bars to quiet romantic restaurants.
The beach has dark sand, but the water is excellent for swimming, the calm sea is ideal for watersports.
Would I go back - YES - including the rest of our gang 9 in total ranging from 14 to 52
All I can say is try it - you won't be disappointed.

Icmeler is our favourite destination because its so warm and friendly.
This year there was a very strict rule of loud music being turned down at midnight, this didn't effect our holiday one bit as there were bars at the end of the beach that still played music so we could wander down there if we wanted to.
Anyway if you want loud music throughout the night you can always visit Marmaris. Icmeler is quieter and thats why we love it.

Icmeler is really lovely, there are hundreds of places to eat, the food here is fantastic, and there is lots and lots to choose from on the menus. The old famous kitchen is brilliant, and the sunday roast in the three bells is spot on, also the kontes on the beach front the meals are beautiful there and are very reasonable prices.
Icmeler has hundreds of really nice shops and you are spoilt for choice, (always shop around to get the best price). There are some lovely shops down the canal and friendly staff to help you.
Icmeler beach is man made so its not very sandy its more like grit but you can find some nice spots on the beach that are quite nice and sandy nearer to the sea. There are lots of water sports available on the beach and the prices are very reasonable. The boat trips from Icmeler are a good day out. The resort cleanliness is excellent.

this resort is pretty good ( apart from the prices ) we stayed in ovacik a couple of times and went to fethiye, there we found a restaraunt called taz firin there you could have shish kebab and loads of other meals, bread salad and drink included for about £3.50 here it is very hard to find meals any where like that we had fish and chips which were about £15 more expnsive than london. but the people are wonderful, friendly and helpful ( they are trying to make a living like us)if you are in any difficulty nothing is too much trouble ( and profit is noton thier mind) the excursions are great, but book outside the hotel and not with the reps. ( you have to try the cruises and jeep safaris, brilliant valuse.
the difference with this resort compared to others ive stayed in are the shows in the bars some of them are made with great effort and thought gone into them . but above all they all make an effort to entertain you. iwish i could go on. but the best thing if you like a lively resort is to go there i strongly recommend it. but i,ve learnt that unless your going to stay in one of the very big hotels the self catering is the best option. you will enjoy this resort

If you go to Icmeler you have got to go to restaurant LA GROTTA follow the pathway which runs next to beach towards Mamaris. Food is excellent very cheap and they have a band which plays to you whilst you eat. DO NOT EAT in the POP IN restaurant in Icmeler, food was OK, however we were both ill for 2 days! Go on half day relaxing boat trip, no load music, stop of at lovely bays an swim in the sea, for only £5 each!

This was our second visit to Icmeler and the Cleanliness was the same as last year, very clean indeed.
We spent most of our evenings in the Three Bells always very friendly, also this year we popped into the Oasis Bar next to the Old Famous Kitchen and the entertainment there was Brilliant, couldn't have asked for anymore, excellent staff.
To be honest we did not visit the Beach this year, as we was always guarenteed a sunbed at our Apartments we felt there was no need this year to venture to the Beach.
Next year we would love to visit Icmeler again, not sure whever it will be possible at the moment but if everything goe's to plan then yes we will deffinatley be back.
I just want to say THANKYOU to all who welcomed us back again, The Old Famous Kitchen, The Three Bells, Captain Bullshit's, Travellers Rest and Jimmy's.
Also FIRUZE Jewellery Murat and Sona, welcomed the Three of us again with Drinks and a good old chat, bought Sue some lovely earings also got some for myself, really nice to meet TWO great honest people again, thankyou Murat & Sona.
Regards,
TIMUK.
