Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

The resort is very pretty and very clean. The music in the bars close at 12:00 pm but you can stay on drinking if you wish.
I found the beach disappointing. It was very clean but it is a shingle beach and the sea is not your normal clear sea. It is full of seaweed and rocks.

Icmeler was a good 20 minute walk, walked home one night and got lost, easier to get a taxi or catch the dolmus and its cheap, loads of great restaurants spolit for choice.
You will get hassled but just say you have already eaten loads of bars with the waiters being the main entertainment!
You can pick up some great bargins from the market, but you need to get there early because it gets packed, dont forget to haggle!

The resort is very clean and entertainment is varied alot of it provided by the talented and enthusiatic staff at the many restaurants and bars. Most of it has to be down low after midnight so for the all-nighters Marmaris is the place. The beach is fairly narrow and is of fine shale. Rows of sunbeds form regiments across its length. These are reasonably priced and the atmosphere is relaxing. The sea is warm and crystal clear-great for snorkeling and diving. The boat trips are good value but shop around for a trip that suits your preference.

the resort was bustling with excitement every night, restaurants touting for business, it was very clean, but not many waste bins about!!
the restaurants put on many shows during our stay, but always finished at midnight.
the beach was kept tidy and clean, and was maintained for the late revellers who wanted to try skinny dipping, dont, you will get arrested.
the tours were great, be careful of the individual ones, as the drinks are very expensive, as along with a lot of things , the cost has risen by about 50% from 2 years ago, they may even price themselves out of the market.
certainly will visit again,

The resort is perfect for couples and families we visited with four adults and four teenagers two boys aged 17 and two girls aged 13.
We expected our boys to eat with us and then go off and do their own thing, but they stayed with the party the whole two weeks as there is so much going on. The bars are very lively encouraging everyone to join in we never stopped laughing, the one place we did have a problem with was a bar opposite the hotel called Mr. Cooks.
The guy who runs the place allows his staff to be rude to customers and even allowed one member of staff to attack the other resulting in a police visit we didnt visit after this incident didnt like his manner.
The other bars are all fab very. friendly lots of Turkish nights, nothing is too much trouble. The beach is excellent kept immaculate by Osman and Ibrihim and their crew, they are funny and kept us laughing for 2 blissfull weeks we will miss them. There are plenty of lovely restaraunts around the canal we particularly like Venice if you want a reservation Antonio on the beach who runs the jet ski's etc., will happily do so from his mobile.
Venice has excellent food and the entertainment particularly the bar dancers balancing the drinks on their heads is amazing. We also liked the Majestic, if you want something special and quiet try Kerem a family run restaraunt with carved ceilings thier cheescake is a dream.
The shopping is excellent but buy clothes from shops not market, bags etc are not bad in market but for something better quality try the shops.

Icmeler is a very good place to spend a holiday. the resort is very clean, and cleaning trucks can be seen throughout the day cleaning roads, picking up litter etc.
There is plenty of entertainment in the resort, although most of it seems to be centered on the hotels. There are far too many restaurants in the resort, all competing for your business, and everywhere you walk you are fending off people trying to entice you into their restaurant/shop/hairdressers/etc. It does mean that the cost of eating out is very reasonable though, and the quality of food is excellent. I found it impossible to just browse amongs the shops and markets without being constantly hasseled to buy something. Ok if you don't mind that, but I found it very frustrating.
The beach is very long and clean, with many sunbeds available at reasonable prices. There are many things to do on the beach, from paragliding to jet-ski's, banana boats, and any other beach activity you can think of.
Everywhere is open until very late, and people can often be seen out walking at any time. Although you have to take as much care as anywhere else, everyone was extremely friendly, even walking back through Icmeler old town at 2-30 in the morning with my 14 year old son after he took part in a Turks v Tourists football match at one o'clock in the morning!
There isn't a great deal to do here for younger children, unless they are happy with a swimming pool, shopping, sightseeing and eating out, but for everyone else, icmeler is well worth a visit.

Icmeler is one of the best resorts we have been to and I would highly recommended it to anyone. It has a charm about it which makes you want to return. There are ample restaurants and bars and the people are extremely friendly, but they are quite pushey when they want to be, you do get used to it.

Lively, very family orientated no large groups of boys or girls so ideal for families.
We felt the children were very safe and we will be going back again next year.
