Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

The resort was very clean. no rubbish which was hard to understand as trying to find a bin when out and about is like trying to find water in the desert!
theres something for everyone in the way of entertainment. there are so many bars in the resort with different entertainment everyday.
The beach was very clean but the sand was very shingly which was a bit uncomfortable on your feet. There were plenty of water sports, jet skis, speed boats, paragliding, banana boat, pedaloes, doughnuts and many more but do haggle for prices as they will drop.
would visit this resort again as there is plenty to do.

Icemeler certainly is clean and there are numerous restaurants offering anything from as much as you can eat Chinese, Indian, Mexican and traditional Turkish. Prices aren't as cheap as they were but still represent good value for money with a steak dinner costing around £8-£9.
Many of the bars cater for the younger element, but if you don't like your music too loud there are plently of quieter bars, although these tend to be away from the main centre.
The beach is clean and is normally attended. The beach is a mixture of sand and fine shingle and very very hot during the day. (Enough to cause blistering) The sea is very clean.

Icmeler is the cleanest, prettiest resort we have ever visited.
The entertainment in the resort was great however we had 2 17yr old's with us and they found it fairly limited after midnight.
The beach was very pebbly but again spotless and the sunbeds/parasols were so cheap and in certain bars along the front if you buy a drink they give you the sunbeds free.
My daughetr and her friend visited the turkish baths and absoultely loved it, came back with clear radiant skin!
My hubby was brave and had a turkish shave-cut throat style! He enloyed it and was stubble free for days.
We took the boat from Icmeler to Turunc which cost us around £7 each and spent the day in this lovely quiet pretty harbour.
Someone told me that once you have been to Icmeler you will have been spoilt as no other med resort can match it....oh they were right!

The resort is a charming change from the usual 'spanish' hussle and bustle. The people are friendly and ever willing to help. The beach area is clean and has beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. There are many boat trips on offer and a variety of water sports. All in all a fabulous resort, and one which i cannot wait to return to.

We didn't like the resort as everywhere we went we were offered english breakfast and only found one traditional Turkish restaurant. It was called Kerem and was very good, we would recommend it.
Everywhere we went we heard the saying 'as cheap as chips' and 'two for a tenna' in a terrible cockney accent.

Icmeler is a fantastic resort and whatever you want is available from quiet restaurants to nightclubs, dance bars and fun pubs. And if you want real action Marmaris is only a dolmus ride away.
The streets are clean and tidy but take care crossing the main roads as it's a bit like silverstone on grand prix day at times.
In general the people we met were friendly and most of the shops and supermarkets had a good baic supply of everything we needed.
The restaurants were many and varied with everything from Indian, Chinese, Korean, Turkish and the usual assortment of English bars.
The beach varied from fairly fine sand at one end to stony shingle at the other but to be honest we didn't spend much time there as the pools at our apartments were great.
This was our first time in turkey (it won't be the last) but I have to say that the amount of hassle we received came as a bit of a shock even though we had been warned about it. It is a shame because by the end of the holiday the constant requests to "look at my menu" had started to grate and just getting from the apartments to the beach (a five minute walk) became an asault course of dodging pushy waiters and shopkeepers.
In fairness a "not tonight thankyou" usually worked but one or two of the frontmen were just so pushy that the temptation to physically assault them rose daily. You cannot avoid these people they will try anything to get you into their shop / bar / restaurant, even sneakily cornering your kids and working on them.
Although this sounds awful it is something that you learn to deal with and have to tolerate if you want to visit Icmeler (or any major resort it Turkey it would seem).
We managed to find a couple of nice restaurants(Romeo + Juliets and Bar Anne) that did not have any frontmen and tended to return to these.
We will definitely return to icmeler in the future despite the hassle. The sorrounding area is beautiful and a bit of hassle is a small price to pay to be able to visit such a lovely place.

Icmeler is a beautiful resort, certainly very cosmopolitan.
There are loads of good restaurants to choose from, and the friendliest people around.
Icmeler is a very clean resort, and thankfully not to built up. It's still retained it's 'village atmosphere' towards the back of town.
The beach is clean, but as a shingle beach, may not really be to everyone's likening.

we found that Icmeler was very clean. all the bars had entertainment on or music and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. the beach is not sandy, but small pebbles which are very sore on your feet, but once in the water it was fine. watch out for the fish, as they bite (actually they suck)and you get a fright, I don't know how many times I let out a scream even though I knew what it was, but it does give everyone a laugh! we've been to Marmaris and prefer Icmeler, the hassle to go into the bars is nothing like Marmaris. if you say no or not tonight, most people accept this in Icmeler and say "maybe tomorrow" but in Marmaris we were followed down the street and sometimes you got swore at. at the market in Icmeler it is best to go first thing in the morning, and ignore the remarks that the sellers say to you. i don't know who taight them english words and phrases, but i don't think they really know how offensive they are being eg. a friend didn't want to buy any tobacco and the seller said "ok sheepsh***er", we couldn't believe what we heard, and think that they think it means something else (or hope they do!). it did give us all a laugh later though.

Icmeler is a lovely resort, we stayed in Marmaris last year and found it to be a little to busy and loud for us. when we got to icmeler we were very pleased.
There is still lots of entertainment and restaraunts but having a six year old with us I found Icmeler much more managable especially on the roads you can actually cross the road in icmeler without running like a scared rabbit.
The beach is better than marmaris but still quite gritty. Would definitly go back to Icmeler if I go back to Turkey.

The resort itself was incredible!
Every area was spotless - no litter or anything! Bin motors were at work at least once every single day, so it is no wonder everything is is spotless!
Entertainment ranged from Turkish Weddings, Foam Parties, Michael Jackson impersonations, and the list goes on!
There is absolutely something for everyone here!
The beach was also perfectly clean. Lots of sun loungers at hand, all perfectly lined up in front of the many beach bars. Although we didn't spend much time at the beach as we had to try and avoid the sun a bit!!
We have decided we love Turkey - Icmeler anyway, and are so excited to come back again as soon as possible!
Everyone was extremely helpful everywhere we went and everyone was so friendly! Sigh.
