The location was great, away from the hustle and bustle of Blackpool [oops I mean Marmaris].
Previous postings have complained about the hard sell by the staff. This is true but just be strong enough to just say no! They soon back down, sulk and try their luck elsewhere. Archie would barely acknowledge our existence by the end.
Generally the staff were friendly especially Alex, Saido, Tommy and Sadio 2. The entertainment is what you come to expect in a three star hotel [karaoke broke down when the guests wanted to sing but never for the staff??].
The amorous advances by the waiters should come as no shock to any seasoned traveller when there is an abundance of money and testosterone.
On the whole it was a laugh and really funny.

I just came back yesterday from the Club Orient and I'm already missing it.
The rooms were the best clean and spacious modern. Watch out for Archtie he bugged my family all week for my Nana's phone number and email address other than that every thing was fine.
Best place to go is The Amsterdam Bar down the bottom of the road from Club Orient Brilliant excellent value and really friendly and great food and no hassle at all I left with all the staffs phone number and email address
Great for kids as well as there is a big dress up room out the back and you'll see lots of famous faces such as Elvis and other people there a real friendly bunch pleasure knowing them I would definitely go back to Club Orient.
PS try to be friendly with arcthie as he can be a bit pushy and watch out for being chucked in the pool

Stayed at this hotel for 1 week holidays4u reps great could not do enough for us.
Pool area very slippy whilst we where there saw 2 children slip and hurt them selves.
Bar staff for ever pestering us to eat in hotel IE Archie head waiter would stop us every day and night and ask us why we did not eat in hotel.
Apartments were kept spotless by cleaners.

Hello there this the Asbo family from Durham!!!!!!! We found the club orient apartment very clean,it s only a shame the girl cleaning our apartment turned out to be a theif the stolen item was perfume can you believe it.
After discovering the perfum I had a word with the rep who was very quick to see the owner for me. He imediatly sacked the cleaner, the rep said the owner would compensate me with a free Turkish night.
When I asked Archie the head waiter about our free night he immediatly brushed it off and offered me a free fish bowl which I later accepted only to find out that was full of water just like my perfum what a joke.
Alex was very friendly and kind to us. My friend is having a relationship even though we are back home she is going out next week to visit him .

After reading the reviews about Hotel Orient, and being very aware I was travelling without my husband I was not looking forward to this holiday at all, even to the point that i wanted to cancel it. The thought of Archie terrified me! How wrong I was. It turned into the best holiday ever. Yes we were asked to eat at the hotel constantly but we only did this once. There was no problems with this, with the staff, especially Archie remaining pleasant and friendly all the time. The rooms were spotless and all staff couldnt do enough. Would definitely go back.

This hotel was one of the best hotels I had been to in Turkey and I will be back again. I am missing some of the waiters and barmen as I got on well with most of them but some you might have to watch out for as I found out some of them are a bit pushy like the cameraman (john), the head chef (carlos), the tallest waiter (cant remember his name), and the manager (archie) he is very pushy.
I really miss Rey and Brain the two barmen as I got on with them well but got on with Rey the most he is great!!
The only thing that worried me was the entertainment and the kids club there was no different entertainment except from Mr boombastic and the spice boys dance.
Also there wasn't really a kids club. I would also advice people with young girls to stay clear of orient.

Fantastic apartments.
Really nice food though waiters can be very pushy for you to stay and eat there.
Staff very very nice people chatty friendly make you feel welcome as stated just a bit to pushy ie: eating in there.

The hotel was lovely and I enjoyed the entertainment Brian was a lovely man but over waiters such as the cooks and Archie were intimidating and made pervert comments towards me I would not advise you take your daughters there we had a lot of problems with them Archie also is very pushy and can be nasty if you refuse to eat at the hotel.
The rooms were clean. I'm unsure if I would stay again perhaps if Archie was not there.

I have just came back from Club Orient yesterday and it's probably was one of the best hotel's I have stayed in.
There is not much negative points you can make about it.
The cleaners in Club Orient do there job well.
The rooms are cleaned on a daily basis and are always done thoroughly.
Location is excellent as it is situated away from the night life in Marmaris, but is only a 1 lira bus journey (5 mins) down the road from centre Marmaris.
Hotel staff can be a little to pushy but if you just politely refuse it does the trick, as you just tell them that you will join them for a drink when you come back!!
Recommendations are the "Sam's" bar just outside club orient and "Sunny's" bar which is just next to "Sam's".
Entertainment was a bit so-so but the Turkish night and the break dancers were much to be recommended.
Definitely visiting this hotel again!!!!

Hi my name is Peter Davis.
I stayed at CLUB ORIENT with 38 of my friends and to be honest I dont think any of us would stay there again.
I arrived home yesterday 07/08/05 but the other party members are there for one more week (good luck).
I was not happy with some of the bar/resturant staff ARCHIE and ALEX, very friendly at first but that changed 2days into the holiday because we were going out on the evenings for drinks and food which they did not like, so they did not really bother we us.
My room (511) was too hot,we slept on the balcony a few nights this was because the air con was on the wall in the kitchen area so my little bedroom which only had a small window was like a oven.
The pool was nice but too dangerous for the kids running about, the slides did not have anybody watching them and one of the kids with my party fell off and hurt his ankle, he was a very lucky boy. Three of the party had really bad throats and ears one of which is myself, I was in the hospital for 3 hours last night turning out I have got a chest infection a throat infection and a really bad ear infection, at the moment. I can only hear out of one ear, the doctor who checked me over said it was more than likely from the pool.
So I will not be staying at CLUB ORIENT again.
