Just back from the Club Orient what a joke. On the first day of my stay got a room on the 4th floor, with baby, the lift broke down out of order for 2 days had to struggle down stairs with buggy. Had to move room because of noise from hotel next door bloody Elvis all day, loud (must buy that cd) I know all the words now!
New room toilet did not work had to move again to bottom floor.
The waiters are a bit too friendly if you know what I mean very hands on, watch out if you got young teenage girls !!! Watch out for the latest trick they say the front door is out of order so you have to go around the back so they can approach you to go in to the restaurant but when you are leaving the doors are ok will not be returning next year!!!!!!!

Before reading this, Marmaris is a fantastic place and we will definitely go to Turkey again, we will however not stay in this hotel.
The hotel is clean and the rooms are very spacious. The problem is the pool area and the waiters.
The pool area is extremely slippy, whilst we were there at least 5 people badly hurt themselves, one girl needing stitches in her head.
The waiters didn't bother too much or offer to help. The waiters rip you off badly if you stay in the hotel for meals or drinks and the entertainment was very poor. At times we had arguements with the waiters about the bill and, when we tried to simply buy a drink and pay for it at the bar they wouldn't serve you or take the money.
They kept the front door locked to ensure you had to walk past the restaurant where you would be hassled by the waiters to go in. If you left anything lying around they would take it to "try on" but very rare did you get it back without asking. One of our hats were taken and we still haven't recieved it back. The waiters are a bit too friendly, watch out if you have any young teenagers.
If you stay here and want value for money and great hospitality then go to the Amerstam bar at the end of the street, you will not be disappointed.
The buses are fantastic and only cost 1 million lira (20-40p), they run every 5 minutes up until midnight, they take you to Marmaris where you can have nice meals at the harbour, the shopping is fantastic. Take plenty of English money as this is good for bargaining with.

We stayed at Club Orient for 2 weeks in september, had a fantastic holiday, apartments great, staff great , surrounding area great.
The hotel is not in the centre of Marmaris but is within easy acsess to the resort on the dolmas which is only 1 million[40p].
Asda supermarket near to Club Orient, very good value for money.

We went to club orient in august this year and had a brilliant time. All the staff are brilliant and really friendly. They cant do enough for you and the entertainment was also really good. The food was nice and we ate there most nights.Uncle sams and the amsterdam were also good places to eat. The hotel is a little bit out of the centre of the resort but it is only a 5 minute bus journey from the end of the road or 30 minute walk (wouldnt recommend). The hotel was really clean and tidy.
We are definitly thinking of going back to club orient.

This was our first holiday to Turkey, it was that good we are booking to stay at this hotel again the same two weeks next August.
The hotel was clean, food was good and the staff were very friendly and the entertainment was very good too.
The rooms for this 3* hotel were more than what we were expecting, the only thing we missed though was a microwave.
Be careful though not to dirty the hotels "white" towels as they charge you.
Be careful walking around the pool when the tiles a wet, one lady spent 5 days in hospital with a broken ankle!!!!
A brilliant holiday though 8 out of 10!!!!

Back to the Club Orient things to watch out for. It is so dangerous round the pool very slippery on the tiles there were several accidents and some hospital visits. Also settle up your bar bills every couple of hours or you could be in for a shock. Other peoples drinks go on your room number, I had several wrong bills over two weeks.
Food at the hotel is very good but the best meal we had was at Coco Bongos fantastic steak best ever.
Tukish night at Club Orient was good.
If you want to book trips book with Tango next to Sams bar for the best deals.
And yes I will be going back next year forget Spain or America it is Turkey for all of my family great time had by all.

After a 5 hour delay we finally arrived at the hotel we were asked if we wanted air conditioning switched on and thank god we did us the rooms get very hot.
The cleaners were very efficient and cleaned our room every day.
Watch out for the staff around the pool as they like to offer Turkish massage and try to 'touch' you as well.
We only ate at the hotel once and if you are a veggie beware because I had a mushroom omlette and it was cooked in animal fat.

the hotel was excellent. The rooms were clean, the staff very friendly and gorgeus.
We stayed in the hotel every night.
Originally we were in a different hotel but got moved because it was not suitable. The club orient was a lovely hotel, definately go back just for the 'friendliness' of the waiters!!

Club Orient had been given good reviews from friends who have stayed there, so we tried it.
We were a party of 8, 4 children 4 adults. However due to the constant attention of certain waiters and I must add we were not teenagers our stay at the apts was minimal.
I feel I cannot stress enough the discomfort a certain male put us through. I would like to add however that the apts were very clean although the pool found a lot of people getting ear infections not to mention broken bones due to slippiness.
This would have been a lovely place to stay as long as Jimmy has left the building women be warned.

We stayed in Club Orient in August 2004, had a brilliant holiday.

They is many restaurants around for you to try.
The staff would try to make you stay in the hotel in the evening, but we just said we would have a drink with them later.
