Marahaba, we are the Bibby family, just got back from Club Orient for the second year,again very clean.

We had a few problems with are room at first (being below ground opporsite the ladies loo) but after speaking to Tommy at the reception politley was promoted to the penthouse suite. Be wary at the pool shop as things are not as they seem.

The hotel food was just that,it is not on par with the quaulity of some of the restaurants in the surrounding area.The best pub has got to be sams bar.All the staff are genuine and very courteous especialy Alex.

Tommy on reception is a great guy,Archie is too on top to eat there and can be intimidating,and the entertainment there is poor, but this hotel is in a good area and value for money.

We felt that these apartments were situated in a good place, however our room was on the fifth floor which proved very noisy on an evening.

One of the problems with our room was that my husband is tall and would bang his head as the ceilings were on a slope.

The air conditioning was in the kitchen so on an evening the bedroom was extremely hot!! On an evening you felt very intimidated by Archie,if you were not eating there,the main doors were locked so you had to walk past them, if you didnt eat in the hotel bar the first couple of nights they did eventually leave you alone.

If you are are going to these apartments pay as you order food & drink, otherwize you will pay at the end of the night, but the following day they will say you didnt pay the full bill, this not only happened to ourselves but other families who were staying in the apartments.

There were never enough sun beds and the pool area is extremely slippery. As you will have gathered we will not be staying at Club Orient again.

Having read various reports on this holiday (including the ONUR airline flight) we approached the holiday with some trepidation.

However we decided that as we knew what drawbacks to expect we would be able to deal with them. So what a delightful surprise we had.

The flight was pleasant, food good, service polite and helpful and airplane spotless.

Arriving at the hotel we found the lift was not working - but one of the staff immediately carried our two VERY heavy cases up the stairs to the room for us.

This is an addendum to the critique which I have already placed on ths site, and is in response to report written by others Regarding the pool side being slippy - if you stick to the green matting placed around the pool there was no problem at the pool side, and most people with any sense then put sandals or flip flops on once they leave the matting to walk to the outside areas.

I am not surprised a child fell from the slide - as previously mentioned the Holidays 4U rep instructed everyone at the welcome meeting to supervise their own children, not to allow them to run around or take inflatables down the slide. However parents did not do this, and when I was there (in August) frequent announcements from the Club Orient Staff were made requesting parents to supervise the children, to stop them climbing up the side of the slide etc, When the disorderly behaviour continued on at least three occasions the staff closed the slide.

On the issue of ear infections etc - the Holidays 4U rep (at the welcome meeting) warned about the risk of ear infections and advised visitors to carefully rinse out their ears with clear water following pool activity, and to carefully dry the ear out afterwards.

Perhaps if more people attended the Welcome Meeting and paid heedance to the advice given, there would be less problems ????!

We went last year in Aug for 2 weeks was really great. The hotel was cleaned daily the rooms were lovely and the air con worked just fine.

The biggest problem we had was the staff they were very pushy we never stayed in 1 night but the pool and bar were good but the staff always want you too stay there but they were only doin there job a suppose.

I would def go back just not sure about the same hotel.

There was a bar called Sams you have too go the guys are great there really good.

Hey, Just Want to say a BIG THANKYOU to the Club Orient staff! This was our second time staying in these apartments, another brilliant holiday!!

The apartments are very clean, very nice, spacious, quite basic (but as if were gonna stay in them that much anyway lol) You have to pay for Air Conditioning, but you do in most hotels in Turkey, and plus it's worth it!

We did not eat much in the hotel as we like to get out and explore, but we did a few of the nights and the food was really nice. Staff can be a little too inviting somtimes, always wanting you to eat in the apartments, but were used to them and they never treat us differently because we want to get out. Some people find it a annoying but they are ok with you if your ok with them! They are only doing there jobs afterall.

The location of the hotel, to us is just perfect, Out of the way of all the noise at night, but still really close to everything. You can just jump on a dolmus (stop at end of street) (They can get you pretty much near everything in marmaris) excursion companys usually come and pick you up from the hotel. There is a shop just across the road called ASDA that sells everything almost. The guy in there is lovely, He can change your english money and has never ripped us off. On the same street there are a few nice Restarunts, Hairdresser's, Shops etc, and lovely locals!

Hotel staff, Excellent. Really Friendly and a Good Laugh. Tommy on Reception is a good guy and also omar, Brilliant (Thankyou for teaching me so much of the Launguge! Big help) Waiters are great too. Can't really fault anybody. Made some good friends.

We did not see much of the entertainment as we were elsewhere but we did see some rather good break dancing, and the Turkish Night(Tuesday)was brilliant, good food, good entertainment. definatily worth seeing.

The swimming pool is a good size, with two slides. It is always very clean, good for children, can get slippery so just be careful, not that bad though.

Our Family would defanitly go back to these apartments. They are good value for money and cater for everyone!

It has been over a year since me and my mam vistied this hotel and we have booked it again. The hotel is very clean and the maids come in everyday. The hotel pool was also cleaned everyday.

The hotel is very nice and its not far away from good bars, such as Amsterdam bar, uncle sams. The hotel is only about a 2 minute walk away from the bus stop to get a dalaman bus into marmaris.

The hotel staff are very friendly but can get a tiny bit annoying. Archie does pester you to eat there, but still being freindly. The bar staff "brian and ray" and very friendly and you can also have a laugh with them. Alex, mert, ali and luis are absualty great, and so is alfie although he doesnt work there anymore.

The staff are always there to cheer you up and often get you up to dance.
The entertainment and food and the bar is great. and the prices arent bad.

I personally recommend you stay and watch the breakdancers as they are fantastic, as I wouldn't let my mam go out of the hotel on them nights.

Altogether this hotel is brillaint and I would recommend anyone to visit it.

Myself and my family went to Club Orient and really enjoyed it !!

The bar staff were great especially Mesut and Danny.

I loved it there and would definately go back any time.

There is only one problem there and that is TOMMY the receptionist. Myself, my brother and friends I met there would get pushed about by him and he get real angry easily.


Other than that there is nothing bad to be said about Club Orient.

Club orient? or should it be Club Archie?

Yes the front door is still locked, Archie still a pain in the rear. But other staff are fantastic.

Hoildays 4 U rep Annette is just great too.
Fantastic trips to be had from Holidays 4 U, so no need to bother shopping around.

Fantastic time down the road at 'Uncle Sams' cheaper than the hotel and no hassle, just great laughs.
