My childen had a lovely time which is what a hoilday is all about. However if they got the food sorted out and some of the staff then it would have been great.
First Choice reps were fab.

I booked 2 separate rooms for four and put special request to be close to each other as my grandson is deaf. I had paid extra for a sea view!! Only to look out on to a swamp and marsh land. I did ask to be moved nearer and to be up graded as was my daughter, but the manager was so unhelpful and the reps were not sympathetic at all.
The mozzies were eating us all alive. We still all had a good time, but I would of preferred to of been offered alternative holiday as I requested.

The food was good but bit repetative, altho could have salad, soup, chips if you realy fussy. But otherwise we found it average.Always staff cleaning and gardening keeping up cleanliness.
Bar staff and catering staff could be a bit miserable and half measures at bar.Hotel is 15 min from small village, and is built round swamp. And yes there was mozzies, but we visited olu deniz for couple days, and still got bit. So not just this site they all over.We tried everything but they still bit. But saying that it was small price to pay,as we had good time.
Entertainment we enjoyed snow white was really funny, kids clubs brill altho people said not much for older kids. Fantastic pools altho they were very cold, and my daughters ears hurt for a day ot 2.
I would return in few years as Sarigerme is growing.

only thing worth watching was the traditional Turkish night. Kids had fun in the clubs.good idea for the 21:00 till 23:00 session. a chance to sit in peace!! Bar staff friendly especially if you can say a few words in Turkish which they will teach you.
Look out for Ezat who looked after us for the fortnight. Honest and decent chap who had time for us and the kids unlike some first choice staff. Mosquitoes and rubbish food spoilt an otherwise excellent holiday.

The hotel was clean the only thing I was a bit taken aback with was the cockroach walking in the restaurant and the waiter picking it up in a tissues. He realised I had seen and then asked to help me with my drinks, nice thought but he was holding a cockroach, I declined!
The food in the first week was nice and I wondered what all the comments were about then in the second week oh my god, I didn't eat some nights as I just couldn't face it. The Indian and Italian are good and we did these twice each, well worth it.
The place is isolated and the trips break it up. I don't care what anyone else says this WAS built on marsh land and we had this confirmed whilst we were out there, yes there are more down the road, although one rep told me it wasn't marsh land it was a river mouth that had big weeds in it!
The hotel staff were fantastic, the bar staff do a great job and a smile a please and thank you will get you the respect you are giving them. we found we were able to ask for a bit more vodka in a joking way and we got it because we were polite. Going to the bar with no smile just "2 beers" and expecting them 5 minutes ago gets you no where. I heard that one lady had gone behind the bar and attacked a bar lady, security were called and the lady was not even escorted off the site, that poor bar lady had to face her each day, not on really, I was embarressed by a small minority of people.
Mosqiuto's OMG, my husband never gets bitten and within 3 days he had an allergic reaction and had to see the Doctor, his bites also got infected and he had to have his leg strapped up. Cream, Oral antihitemines and daily visits to the Doctor, who was fantastic and if you had no complication would just sell you things without a consultation. I will say also we DID go prepared with mozzie things but they do not work. My husband and Daughter went to Ephesus and he did not get bitten once, within an hour of being back at the PP he had been bitten 3 times!
The entertainment was ok again it is each there own, and we anjoyed some nights and didn't enjoy others. The kids went to the clubs and they are fantastic the staff are without a doubt brilliant and the kids had a great time. I always go on a holiday and do not put the kids in the club as it is our family holiday and we spend time together, but they had a fab time and we had 1.5 hours to chill or bathe!
I wouldnt go back to this hotel unless they lift it up and put it elsewhere purely because I cant put my husband through it again with the mozzies, or the children, although they did not get that itchy or infected they looked like a dot to dot picture that just needed joining up. Other than that yes I would return tomorrow, I would say take oral antihistemine and cream with you then get the sin kov pump action not the spray as it makes you gag! I found this easier to put in my hand then rub around the kids faces just so they were covered fully.
We did the jeep safari which is a must!
Dalyan mud baths fantastic but very slppery, keep hold of the kids! My son had a bit of a paddy and got mud in my eye so it got sore and I did have to buy some drops from the Doctor and it cleared up in a couple of days, so be careful. Photos they take are fab and only 10 lira (

In the two weeks there we witnessed - flooding of numerous rooms - food sampling by health inspectors - excrement floating in the main pool. Waiters pouring 'used' cereals into the main breakfast bar and general discontentment among many guest.
The place does not deserve 1 star. I like many others filled in onsite complaint forms which mysteriously never got back to the uk.
First choice have been very unhelpful in persuing and resolving our complaints. First Choice are , I'm sure aware of the problems - but are unwilling to resolve.
Oh and we also witnessed numerous children being taken to hospital with a ' stomach bug' - this place seems to ave a history of it. Get a refund - cancel the holiday.
Do yourself a favour.

The food was totally un edible. Served luke warm with flies and no choice.
Drinks, if you like larger you will be fine any thing else (except for gin, vodka, barcdia locally produced) you will pay for on your all inclusive holiday!
The hotel itself is laid out beautifully, great attention given to the laying out of gardens which once established will be beautiful.
I found the staff very friendly the maid service in the rooms superb.
Entertainment i.e children's clubs brilliant, evening entertainment just what you would expect in a family hotel.

We had read some terrible reports on here before we came and were scared as to what we might find. How wrong we were. We never had any problems with rowdy teenagers, poop in the pool or any other of the things other people experienced.
It was one of the best holidays we have ever had.
The hotel and grounds are kept immaculately clean and tidy all the time.
The food was fine, the problem was other people leaving the lids off. That's why it was cold. The lids choice could have been a bit better.
We found the location to be fine. We knew when we booked it was a stand alone hotel. We found there was plenty going on within the two hotels to keep us occupied in the evenings. We did go into Sarigerme a few times and it was nice for a change of scenery.
The staff are friendly and work extremely long hours. If you're not polite to them why should they be polite to you. We heard a lot of people being rude to the barman with no respect shown at all. They are not your slaves.
The entertainment was fine, we did hear a woman saying to her friend that the rendition of grease was not like what it was in the west end!! Hello.... You're in turkey, not london, and these are holiday reps, not actors!! Some people expect the world.
The mosquitos are the main problem here. We tried everything. Even the stuff the locals use. We still got bitten. My daughter, son, niece and nephew were all unbitten for some reason, but myself, husband, sister, and my other son were bitten every night after the first week. Not one bite in the first week, due to them spraying the first day we were there. After we got home, my sister's became infected, and mine, which I thought were gone, all came back the size of tennis balls, swollen and so itchy I coud have cut them out with a scalpel. I even had them on my neck and face. Doctor said I had an acute delayed allergic reaction to that particular strain of mossie and gave me steroids and strong snti histamines and put me on the sick from work they were that bad.
For that reason, I couldn't even begin to think of going back to the tropical until they get the mossie problem sorted, which I don't think can be done.
A shame because we all loved it and would go back tomorrow.

hotel shop is a bit expensive,
watch out for ear infections and bring loads of suncream.

Pools are fantastic as are activities for children during the day.
We stayed in a select room with Jacuzzi bath. Unlike other guests we did receive our robes but only received our slippers the day before we left, not that you need them. The room was spacious and did not feel crowded with 4 people in it. Just be aware of the number of people that go into your room during the day, maids, man checking the mini bar (even though we said we were not using it), man checking the phone, man checking the TV!
Maids were excellent, our room was cleaned to the highest standard every day, air conditioning brilliant and under your control.
All the hotel staff worked very hard and any problems were rectified speedily (we had a leaky bath which was sorted within 2 hours of reporting it whilst we were out one evening).
For us the biggest let down at this hotel was the food. It was bland, cold, slop served in a school canteen setting, (apart from the salads which were very good, if repetitive but then how different can you make salads) The only time we had a hot meal in the whole fortnight was when we could not stomach the food any longer and went into Sarigerme for a meal. The waiter there must have thought we were mad drooling over lovely, tasty hot food, then he saw our wristbands and said - ah you are from the Palace, I see! Wish we had done this earlier in the holiday as we would have gone there more often. If you want a decent meal go to the Dolphin in Sargerme, chicken kebabs and sea bass excellent.
Eating in the hotel was definitely not an experience but a function. You have to queue for drinks, then get a table and one of you has to stay to guard it against the waiters removing the drinks. Then you queue for food - on one evening I queued behind around 20 people for chicken kebabs. By the time you have your food back to your table it is cold. I would not even give this food a 2 star rating.
All restaurants close at 9pm which is the time we normally go out for our evening meal when abroad. The late night snacks from 11 to 1am are simply cereals, bread and reheated (or re-luke warmed) left overs. Did not try the themed restaurants as we heard bad reports of these and you had to queue in reception at 7am to stand a chance of getting booked. We spoke to one family who booked for the Indian at 8.30 (they only have one sitting) they had four courses and were out of the restaurant at 9.05. Apparently the chefs are only contracted to work until 9pm.
The other disappointments for us were (1) the fact that this hotel really is in the middle of nowhere. Sarigerme is a nice little town, the Sunday market is great fun and worth the taxi ride - 5 lira, takes about 5 minutes. We really missed somewhere to walk in the evening where you could sit in a bar and watch the world go by - the only way to do this was to get a taxi into Sarigierme.
The second was the behaviour of some of the guests, foul language (from both adults and young children), vandalism, drunken teenagers (under 18's) intimidating younger children, mothers fighting over places at the kids club, rudeness to the Turkish people. I lost count of the times I queued in the shop behind men buying papers who did not even acknowledge the staff, not a hello, please or thank you between them. It made me ashamed to be British.
Thirdly, very little to do in the evening. Entertainment was not worth watching apart from the Grease show and the Turkish dancers. The rest of the time we sat in the bar talking to people we had met. Finally, when we booked this holiday we had not appreciated that this complex catered for 5000 people - it was too big. You could meet someone one evening and never see them again for the rest of the holiday.
Despite the above, we managed to have relaxing time as the children were occupied and if they are happy then you are. The weather was great, the mud bath trip is great fun and the beach party worth a visit. We met some lovely people so not all guests let the British down. The meal in Sarigerme restored my faith in turkey as a holiday destination which the Palace had severely damaged.
Couple of words of advice. The shop seemed to prefer lira. For the market take
