The hotel was described as 4 star, this was clearly misleading as was the general descriptions of facilities.

Pools were good, however, there are major health and safety concerns in particular the slides. Food was luke warm and at times undescribeable. My husband contracted a serious stomache bug for 12 out of the 14 days. Son contracted an ear infection from the pools.

The beach wasnt suitable for swimming with a deep shelf within feet of the waters edge. However there is a lovely beach to the right of the hotel about a quarter of a mile, a public beach used in relation to the German hotels which appeared to be of a much higher standard. Wife broke her nose using the banana ride on the beach, and spent first week of holiday at hosiptal in Marmaris which was of a very high standard and could not fault the treatment received. Again health and safety should be looked at by the water sports people on the beach (part of Pegasos set up).

Sunbeds were a problem in the mornings, if you weren't out there by 6.30am you could forget getting a bed at all. People were taking the mattresses into their rooms at the end of the day.

The welcome meeting was useless as the reps didn't give you any information about the hotel, where things were etc. They were only interested in selling you their trips. The First Choice reps in general were keen to offer their help, but when asked for any assistance, either passed the buck or just couldn,t help you at all.

The Turkish staff, customer service were of great help in all areas and could be relied upon to deliver. The maid service was excellent and again very helpful and thorough. We had clean towels and our beds changed regularly. You could ask for more towels, blankets, pillows which they were happy to give you.

Before we travelled, we were a little worried about the Pegasos Palace, due to the bad reviews it had been given.

When we arrived there, we were pleasantly surprised by the complex, it seemed to have a lot to offer, so we kept an open mind.... Until we got to dinner, it was like a prison canteen serving up bland, tasteless, warm food, it was no wonder the kids were bouncing off the walls, as there didn't seem to be anything of any nutritional value to eat or drink for the week we were away. The drinks that were available to them to serve themselves were brightly coloured, sickly sweet, and I don't want to know how many e-numbers there might have been in them. If you wanted fresh fruit juice, you had to pay extra for it, and if you didn't have a TOM watch, you couldn't buy it anyway.

We refused to get a TOM watch, considering you had to put a minimum of

We have just returned from our honeymoon (along with our kids) from the Pegasus Palace. The hotel was amazingly clean, and the staff worked so hard I almost felt protective towards them and all the negative comments.

The food was OK. I did think there was always something the children could eat, and although it could have been better, there was always a choice of salads, and meat. Breakfast was my favourite.

What really got on my nerves - big time - was the constant music and DJ. When I asked would it always be so loud and incessant? they said yes as the music had to reach the other side of the pool!!! I just wanted to enjoy listening to the sounds of my holiday.

If you tried to get a sunbed after 6.30am, tough luck, they were all gone. We needed a lie in when we got home.

The First Choice reps sold, sold, sold. *BEWARE* please pay for all trips in sterling. A

Stayed at palace 8 August till 15.

On taxi journey to Holiday Village we could see just how isolated it is. We weren't to bothered as the reports had been getting better before we left and were going to have a good holiday no matter what.

The grounds are impressive and the plants and spa garden are all very nice.

Cleanliness spot on apart from plastic beakers used in outside bars day and night. Only ever 2 towels left in our room even though paid for three adults in a select room, which was not as sold in brochure. No king size bed, no sea view, no bath robes, no slippers. But the rooms are quite spacious and I looked in at a jacuzzi suite and would say they are the best room to have.

The food well, breakfast ok apart from toaster so slow. The restaurants are canteen style noisy, bumping into everyone, waiters whipping your plate away before you finished. Food luke warm, bland. My daughter age 13 liked fried chicken, which she said was on most nights at the kids early dinner. Managed to eat at the Italian and Indian. I enjoyed the Indian, you get rushed a bit as the chefs are only paid up till 9 or 9.30. was told.

The first week we had few drinks at pool bar. There were two singers they were alright created bit of atmosphere and you could have a dance. No trouble being served as we tipped bar man regularly, but the drink not very good especially from plastic cups vodka weak or water.

As for second week the singers went and so did most of bar staff. We went in search of some night life, it was ten o'clock and nothing going on. Sat in lobby bar big queue for drink. And it is noisy like a departure lounge and very bright.

The singers never returned to the pool bar our second week at all, so maybe they do aweek at each, but the Tropicals bar queues were bigger than ours. Kids disco fine for the under 12's. Too babyish for my 13 year old. So entertainment zero.

Staff pleasant enough needs some proper management.

Beach is not a holiday beach.

Pools are great.

Day time snack bar, food cold and they need to put mats down or stop people entering when wet.

I would not have gone if i had known that the place still hadn't got it act together. Feel ripped off that paid

What can I say, the hotel itself was very impressive with nice modern rooms and good facilities inside and out and built on a grand scale. The only problem is the construction was obviously rushed and there will no doubt be further horror stories to the guy being electrocuted in his Jacuzzi at the PT and a girl losing her toes when a sign post fell on her.

On first impression the resort looks great with loads of good sized swimming pools, though unfortunately there are numerous problems that still need to be sorted out.

The food is absolutely horrendous by Turkeys standards. Have stayed in AI 3 times before at different resorts in Turkey and have never had to put up with canteen style food that is luke warm at best and repetitive. Turkish food is normally very good and varied, what was served here was a sad Anglo/Turk version.

The queues at all the bars are a right pain and the majority of drinks are served in grubby plastic glasses.

As the evening entertainment is of such bad quality for anyone over 12yrs old there is very little to do in the evenings apart from sit in the main bar that has the atmosphere of a airport departure lounge.

For Kids I must say the resort is good with very good kids clubs that are well organised and with plenty of activities for them to do. Unfortunately for they seem to have forgotten about the adults.

The prices in the Hotel shops are also hugely expensive, though as the resort is in the middle of nowhere you are a captive audience. If you get the chance try and take a trip to Olu Deniz to see how good resorts are run.

After all the bad press about the hotel we were expecting it to be awful. Fortunately it was anything but!

The hotel was kept very clean and there is always someone cleaning the floors or windows etc. They work very hard.

Food was good- we have done All Inclusive before and knew what to expect. During the last few days it DID get a bit monotonous but there was something for everyone. Alot of people just like to moan and complain!

The location was a bit too remote, there is a small town with a few shops and a market on a Sunday which was enjoyable. You do have trips to go out on though and I strongly recommend the mud baths.

Staff were very friendly and approachable, the reps were good the majority of the time too.

Entertainment at night was not too bad, they have introduced a new drag act which was brilliant and the children enjoyed it too, most of the shows First Choice put on were fine and they do have bingo which is a laugh! If the entertainment is not for you-there is a free cinema inside plus a games room, computer access and ten pin bowling. These are payable but not expensive and are fun. Every Thursday night there is a beach party with laser lights, fireworks and a huge foam machine, it was absolutely fabulous and my whole family loved it.

We stayed at the P Palace. Our first impression of it was 'Wow!' Most reports on holiday truths are unfounded. It is kept very clean, the food, although not 4 star, is adequate although the main restaurant is like a canteen.

Best to find a table first before getting your food. The waiters are pretty quick to clear your plates, glasses so make sure someone sits at tables at all times.

Nowhere local to go in evenings apart from Sarigerme which is 20 minute walk or 5 min taxi ride(5 lira each way).

Most staff were ok. FC reps ok especially one who really helped me when my husband needed the doctor.

Entertaintment was average. Kids clubs good. But the evening club times could be changed so parents could have a meal on their own but restaurant opening times would need to be changed too (close at 9pm).

Theme rests are good but the Italian one is outside so whilst you're eating the mozzies are eating you!

I would visit again but in a few years time when more shops, bars and the beach is improved.

Only take Sterling and Lira. They preferred Sterling.

We arrived at the Pegasos Palace with a little trepidation after all the reports about this place but decided to go with an open mind and we're glad that we did. We had a fantastic time and would definately go again.

The rooms were lovely, we had a Kids Den room with Bunk Beds so there was a lot of space for the kids to move and we hired a Playstation 2 to keep them busy if they were bored, but they hardly used it. In fact we used it more to watch a few DVD's in the evenings that we'd taken with.

The staff kept everything spotlessly clean and were very helpfull. When we arrived my sister's Air conditioning wasn't working, but within an hour a maintenace man had fixed it and it was fine after that.

We found the food to be good, there was always something you could eat and the themed nights were very good. We especially liked the Turkish night.

In fact the only bad meal we had was at the Italian Restaurant. We sat down at 8pm ordered our drinks and waited 10 mins before they took our food order. We asked for the kids meals to arrive with our starters but they didn't. After we'd had our starters we had to remind them about our drinks and they eventually arrived but my Brother-in-law had asked for a Bitter Lemon (which they serve in all the bars) but the waiter didn't understand what it was so it never arrived. My Brother-in-law then went to the nearest bar and got it himself. Eventually after 1 hour 10 mins our main courses arive with the kids meals. My wife had asked if she could have the Hawaian pizza without the Ham but she was told that they couldn't do that so she ordered the Palace pizza with Red Peppre, Aubergine, Courgette, Fetta Cheese & Pesto. When it arrived it came with only Red Pepper & Aubergine. We complained to the waiter who said "not my problem". Also all the pizza's were overcooked and the pasta was undercooked.
We spoke to other people who had been and most of them liked it and didn't have any problems.
We went twice to the Indian restaurant and can thoroughly recommend that one.
There is an A La Carte restaurant which serves Fish and Steak and you have to pay extra for it, but we didn't try it. We spoke to a couple who had been there and thay really enjoyed it, but it had cost them nearly
