oh silly me thought you meant she had it the night before she left to come home lol
going to Ovacik on Friday, really looking forward to it, but not the storms, I hate storms!!!
Do you know what the forecast is for next week??
Sue
Praying for sunshine!! (at least some of the time!!!)
UPDATE!!
for anyone going this weekend for half term like me, the weather from Friday is going to pick up. Forecast for Sat, Sun and Mon is 24 -25 C, and the full sun symbol is showing!!
Just been on the BBC world weather site and looked up Fethiye!
Has anyone been lately that could tell me whether the water slides are suitable for older teenagers/adults? Have seen a very good price for summer 08 and previous reviews are good but my kids state that their must be water slides available to them. The Club Letoonia website states that the water slides are in the kids pool which gives me the impression that they are for younger childen only and could mean my children are too old to use them. Thanks to any one who can give me any info.
Going mid september, any latest info appreciated
there are 2 slides that go into the sea, my husband enjoyed going on them and some people were going down 1 of the slides on a lilo to make them go faster they did look good fun. ive put quite a few photos of letoonia in the gallery so have a look. we were there in oct so im happy to answer any questions
Thanks for the info, had a look at your photos and Club Letoonia now definetly on our short list for next year.
We're going to letoonia for the third time in june this year as it's by far the best hotel we've had the pleasure to stay in. i would fully reccomend it to anyone.
im also happy to recommend it we had a very good holiday but although its a lovely complex with fab scenery its not quite as good as lykia world but that will take some beating lol
Karen
I'm a bit too old to be going down slides, but thanks.
Wanted some general info on do's and donts or any hidden costs or dodgy trips that will be offered.
Everything I've read is possitive so far.
I'm a bit confused by comments re hotel or bungalows.
We've booked all inc which says twin room with balcony (sea view)
I'd be disappointed to end up in a bungalow with a long hike home.
Also want info on whats best for spare cash, visa debit card or should I take sterling travellers cheques or turkish dosh
Any info appreciated
Karl
we stayed in the hotel and i was pleased we did as some of the bungalows have over 150 steps up and down to them and i couldnt cope with that let alone my little daughter, the bungalows are scattered all over the complex so we preferred to be in the main hotel. we didnt do any trips so cant help you there, we took the free water taxi into fethiye once and the rest of the time went into fethiye in taxis which was fairly expensive around £8 each way but we either missed the boat or it was full lol. we loved fethiye good for shopping and there are a lot of boat trips that can be taken from fethiye but we didnt do any of them. we took sterling with us and didnt spend that much as the food was lovely in letoonia and the drinks were the best choice ive had in an all inc, as im fussy with drinks and really dont drink much it was great to be able to have free baileys and archers. entertainment in letoonia was good the shows were good fun, they had a parade one night with a big cake they cut up for everyone, a few evenings they did hot mulled wine with fruit in it ,that was yummy !! we went in oct and a few of the a la carte restaurants had closed which was a shame we only had the turkish one open and that had been moved and only 1 self service open, but the food although more limited than expected was of a good standard , so you going in sept will have a better choice of places to eat as it was very restricted whilst we were there, its a lovely place and im happy to recommend it, fabulous scenery, cute little beaches and nice walks around the complex especially along the pontoons but you need to be warned there are a lot of hills about. the main thing i wasnt happy with was the lack of first aid around as my daughter cut her foot 1 day and got stung by a bee another day and they had no first aid to help us, luckily other guests helped out on both occasions, when she got stung by a bee on the beach they put her foot in a glass of vodka lol. anyway i know you will have a good holiday its a lovely place. rooms arent 5 star more 3-4 but heh you only sleep in them
karen
cheers Karen
forgot to mention drinks are available 24 hrs too lol, but we found that some of the bars were more limited on the international brands than others the bar in the main area near the theatre had the best choices, i think the baileys was a copy but tasted just as good, free cocktails too, and hot doughnuts every night lol
We went to Club Letoonia last september for our honeymoon for 2 weeks and loved it, so much so that we're going back this september As for what money you need, I found I didn't carry anyas I didn't need it. I only brought money out when I wanted a paper or if I was heading into town.
what dates you got ?
If early sept, let me know how you got on, if last two wwks, see you there
Going on monday the 17th of september from Newcastle
