Have a great time Emma. I will be very interested to hear if it beats the titanic. From the sound of the reviews it will. Must be fantastic.
Can't wait until April when we go. Just hope their summer season will start on April 1st as they are claiming it will.
Really wish I was going this month, I bet September is perfect in Turkey. Can't ever get the time off work ....roll on April.

Hi,
Yes it was great thanks, wish we were still there!
We really enjoyed the Titanic, but think the Delphin beats it, it's a lovely luxurios hotel, and with 7 a la carte restaurants that are free!
The weather was great too, 35 and sunny every day, Beach party and Gala night are really special!
Have just done a review, but if anyone has any questions, feel free!
Thanks,

Hi Emma
Glad you had a good time - just read your review. One thing though, I was surprised you only got clean towels every 3 days. I know it's not eco-friendly, but I love having clean towels every day on holiday. Was it possible if you left them on the floor?

Yes, the maid changed the towels every 3 days but if you left them on the floor you could have new towels every day. Pool /beach towels are also provided and you get new ones every day.

Oh good, that's all right then! I don't need to cross it off my list of potential hols then.
just a quick question then, after reading some reviews the only thing ive noticed is some say the evening entertainment ie; shows and beach parties are not the best. What did you think, comparing it to the titanic (seeing as weve both been there)
and do they do a foam party on the beach and market evening like at the titanic?

The beach party is really good, they start with a big bonfire, then foam which is great fun ( take a towel) then disco and fireworks to finish. Gala night every other week is also good with lots of different acts bough in specially. Tuesday night a market comes in and sets up round the relax pool.
Entertainment on other nights is either the Delphin Dance troupe, which are ok, or the Delphin entertainment team doing comedy, sat nite fever, black and white show etc main show 9.30 till 10.30, then it's either bingo, karaoke, or a band by the pool bar. They also have a group every other night in the lobby bar singing songs(not very well tho!) Disco starts at 10pm and was quite busy when we popped in tho they were playing Boney M!
Personally think i prefered the entertainment at Titanic, was slightly better quality, chinese acrobats etc, but the beach party and Gala nite are great at the Delphin, when do you go?

I just looked at the price for mid august next year, £2000 per person a week later its £1000 per person, talk about cashing in. I can't believe how expensive first choice and eclipse are. Dick Turpin has got nothing on first choice/eclipse.
I certainly wouldn't pay £2000 per person people have more money than sense, and not that I can't afford it. There is better value else where for similar class of hotel. I am sure if another tour op did the hotel it would be at least 40% cheaper than first choice/eclipse.
Some sucker will line first choice/eclipse pocket.

Wow, thats seems expensive, we went with First choice and paid £1500 for 2 weeks for 3 of us.
Thomas cook also do this hotel, its worth every penny tho!

thomas cook are far cheaper. We have booke for next year with thomas cook and we couldnt afford to go with first choice .We have booked two rooms for £3400 and first choice was asking for £4500 for exactly the same holiday.Plus by going 3 days before the schools break in the summer we also payed £900 cheaper than after schools had finished. Its still all far too expensive but what do you do?????
we like are holidays
we like are holidays
I booked with thomas cook for holiday at the hemera next year, I think thomas cook had no availibilty for the delphi palace. The hotel I am going to is not used by first choice. Thomas cook were the cheapest of all of them. If first choice did the hemera they would be the most expensive.
I might try the delphi palace when I can get a reasonable price another year.

My lucky parents are off for a week tomorrow, can someone tell me if they need to take beach towels, or are they provided please?
Beach Towels are provided. You get cards when you check in for a small deposit and you exchange the cards for towels near the pool. Hand back the towels and get the cards back and so on.
