Your aircraft had a technical problem in Gatwick on Wednesday before leaving for Jamaica thats when the original problem occurred. It didn't leave the UK till 5pm wed and only made 30 minutes up on that flight.
enjoy Mexico
Thanks both. Was looking at Flighstats website which said that the Orlando flight left on time but is now delayed since leaving - guess that departure time on there must be wrong. No worries though - was just curious and, yes, what's an extra few hours delay to escape this weather!!!!
I am travelling LGW - CUN - (FCA068) Star Class Premier

The software that Tui use mean that, based on the seating configuration the least amount of people are split up, when a human intervenes because customers dont want 9F or 3B it means that other people are moved to accommodate your whims. Like I say, try it the worst they can say is bugger off these are your seats and if they do bear in mind why its done.
My husband and I have always shared a case and in May this year was told that we had a max of 30kgs being 1 case between the 2 of us. After reading on our tickets that any one case should not exceed 23kgs, I started to worry as we really don't want to take a 2nd case, so I phoned First Choice who confimed 30kgs max. Can anyone else confirm this for me, I am sure that First Choice have given me the correct information, but there has been times when they have been wrong.
I am due to start packing later today.
Thanks
Paula
I find it amazing that you have recently been told the limit is 30Kg. 'Left hand and right hand' springs to mind! What does it say on your tickets?
Thank you for responding, you have definately put me back in doubt. I phoned first choice last night and they seem to think I would be ok. I don't know who to contact and I will be shortly having to do up my case. I know I can keep the weight to about 25kg, but I think 23kgs for two people is far too little. My tickets say 23kgs max to any one bag. Looks like we are going to have to cut it down further or buy another case.
Any further information would be much appreciated.
Many thanks
Paula
I have just read your post on day before check in. We are flying SCP in a few weeks and were told that seating is done by booking order. We are a party of 2 and booked almost a year before our flight do you think this will give us a good chance of not getting split up as we are unable to do day before check in?

We had a 25kg per person limit when we went to Cape Verde, and one in our party had a bag of 28kg and First Choice checked it in without charging extra. They advise that you don't put over 23kg in one case, but I've rarely seen this enforced, unless it is a ridiculous amount over 30-35kg.
Don't ask why she needed 28kg of luggage for a week long holiday anyway. In fact, she had another 3kg worth in my case, taking mine to 13kg!
Women, eh?
Thanks for that. I have just about finished the packing and we should be able to keep it just about to 23kg, We are only going for one week, so we have both kept everything to a minimum. Unlike most holidays we pack many things that go along for the ride, just in case we need them, well this time we have decided to leave anything that is only a possible chance of wearing or using it, and it certainly has made a difference to the weight.
I will check with them at the airport if we are aloud extra when there are two travelling with one case..
Thanks to everyone

We have booked a flight from Gatwick to the Maldives which leaves at 6 pm. Will we be able to book in the day before or is that only if you have an early morning flight? It says on First Choice website that you should check in at least 2 hours before. Does anyone know how early you are able to book in? We have upgraded to Premier if that makes a difference. We have the opportunity of a lift to the airport at lunch time but we would only want to go that early if we were able to check in.
As for day before check in- you are only allowed to check in if your flight departs before 12:00(midday) This is taken from the Thomson website- Thomson have customers on this flight and we have a combined check in operation/rules & guidlines in force at LGW so unless it specifically says on FCA website that First Choice customers are allowed then you will not be able to do day before check in... but you will be able to check in any time within reason(don't think 6am counts as reasonable!!)
Yes we have booked through Thomson although it is a First Choice flight. Thank you for your help.
we are flying longhaul thanks again
Always do this as you will probably find your question has already been asked and this will save duplicate posts and you waiting for your answer...
finally found it on page 76 i guess the short programmes, music etc are the same as there just the films different?
Could anyone tell me where my flight goes before it reaches Gatwick so I can check any delays. My flight is FCA078 - Gatwick to Cozumel on the 27th September 08 at 10.30am. Thank you.
There is three 767's in Gatwick the friday and saturday of your flight- the day before 2 of them go to Cancun and Costa Rica the third is a standby aircraft- so delays to your flight will be unlikely(now i've cursed you)
